Ok Sunday I watched what may be my first full game of football, because I wanted to watch it. I'm over 40 and have survived my whole life on Basketball and wrestling. I have only watched before because others were watching. I have seen full games before, Super Bowls or over a friends house and watching it with them. But this time I could have watched "America's Home Video's" or past years of the NBA slam dunk contest. But I didn't. I watched San Diego vs the Seattle. And the thing is... I liked it. My favorite play in all of sports, I must admit, is the run back for a touchdown. There were 2 of them in this game by the same guy... 101 yards and 99 yards... ...This worries me...I have a very addictive personality... Is it too late for me? Am I hooked? Will I be changing my signature to a Raiders signature? ..or maybe because I'm from Detroit A Lions sig?... (naw not the Lions) |

If that is the sole reason that intrigued you - large runbacks for a TD, then I'd say you're safe. While exciting, they are not very frequent in professional football - they are flukes, and two or more in the same game is something you definitely will not see on a regular basis. |

It wasn't just the run back it was the whole game I liked. It was exciting and went down to the last play. My saving grace is that I don't know one player in the entire league, except Michael Vick, And I usually don't start feeling attachments until I learn the players names. This is the main reason I don't watch college B-Ball... |

It can be exciting and gut wrenching when game outcome goes all the way down to the wire....when we care, it gets real loud here during those games - but sometimes, the score is so blown out that really.....what is the point in continuing? Im down by 40 and there's a whole quarter left - yeah, were done here, what else is on? Sometimes (because of the networks) it sucks, because all I get to watch are Giants(OK) and Jets (fuck them) games and whoever Buffalo or New England are playing (who cares), with whatever else the local network decides to air, and then whatever is on ThNF and MNF |

The main reason you liked it is because the Seattle Seahawks were playing, and as we all know, the Seahawks are awesome. |
Once upon a time, a man lived. This man was a man who really lived. He was the best there was at what he did, living. Living is what he did, and he did it well. In fact, he did it too well. He lived so well that he made other people stop living. That is why he had to be stopped. To stop him, they sent Rimo.

Me too. Once you watch the same team a few times you get to know the players and their strengths and weaknesses. You also start to become familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of the team itself and can predict things. I find that's when watching sports is the most fun! ![]() Honestly, I can watch just about any sport on any level. My husband and I used to take a walk to the local ball field when we were dating and watch some little league baseball games. It was great to see little kids hitting, running and making the plays. My daughter is a JV cheerleader and I enjoy watching her cheer and comparing her squad to that of the opposing team. At the same time, I really love the JV football games because I know so many of the boys. They are going to be one kickass team and cheerleading squad in a couple of years! High School is actually pretty fun this time around.

That is an every sunday event for me from 8 to 5, watching all the different age squads come out and do their thing. Strangely enough, not all of the opposing towns bring their cheer squads with them to thier away games with us at our home field....and something needs to be done with our cheer squads thinking they are queen shits because two weeks in a row now, the opposing squads walked out onto mid-field during halftime, and did their routines - unanswered - other than for the girls turning up their noses at them. These chicks are going to be in for a rather rude awakening come competition time, but so far, they really suck and dont hold anywhere near up to the legacy standards for their state championship 2007-8 squad. But anyway, back to the football....yeah our teams have also been sucking. 9 teams across 4 divisions, each playing every weeks and I think we have a total of 5 or 6 wins out of all of them combined and being 3 weeks in so far. |
