Don't be rude, Joy. :p
Every Republic has its sins, but communism is a joke that is not funny. Get fluoride out of the water!

No, I'm not going to hell. I'm a Christian. I know that I will be going to heaven whenever I die some day.

What bothers the hell out of me is that some of my fiance's friends and family called my faith into question. The reason why simply was because I don't attend church; that is part the pain of going to church around here and part because I find organized religion to be very upsetting. Honestly, I thought being a good Christian was reading and knowing the Bible and being the model therein. I'm not perfect, but I say my prayers and ask for forgiveness. And I'm trying not to be judgmental myself, but I am having a moment of weakness in thinking that these specific people have absolutely no room to criticize me. I honestly think they are just trying to get her to dump me.

Cruevo, you know deep down in your heart that you are a good, faithful Christian. You don't have to attend church every week to prove it either. I'm sure that you have discussed in depth the deep, religious feelings that you feel & that you feel fulfilled worshiping God your own way with your fiancee & her family. As for her friends, it's none of their business. Hopefully they will learn to accept the way that you worship God & that this doesn't become a problem between you and your fiancee'. How long has it been since you discussed your religious views with your fiancee? Perhaps she hasn't had enough time to think about what you have told her.

We discuss something religious at least once a week; she knows that I'm pretty serious. I was just venting about annoying people.

Cruevo, I have a lot of faith in God and I don't even relate to myself as a "Christian," even though I am Catholic. I do my best to get my kids to church, so that they can be raised and have exposure to my faith. But I don't really go for organized religion either. I think at the end of the day it's between you and God and nobody else.

I'll never forget sitting in the Methodist Church (which for the most part seems to have a decent official philosophy" and someone mutters about my mom wearing the same dress as last week.
