This actually happened on February 18th but I am just now getting around to posting about this. Uncharted: Golden Abyss on the Vita has a part where you have to hold up a piece of parchment to bright light. This requires you to actually move your Vita near a light source. When I reached this part I was in a hotel room and all of the lighting was diffused and my Vita just didn't pick it up. I went to the hotel lobby and the lights there were not working for that part of the game. I went out to the parking lot to see if the street lights would work and they didn't. I was left with the option of walking around San Francisco in the middle of the night with my Vita in search of an exposed light bulb or just wait until morning. I decided to wait until morning and went outside. The Vita picks up all of the light needed in less than a second. It is just annoying that there was no way to bypass that part so I had to delay my game for ten hours. |

I hate viping those artifacts with my fingers. Keep it simple. Analog, Dpad and buttons. |

I bought my daughter Sims 3 for the lap top. What a disaster that was. The thing never works right.

You might get a kick out of this story I posted last month. I am kind of an idiot. Resident Evil: "Revelaitons" is a brilliant marketing ploy I received my pre-ordered copy on Tuesday and took note of the spelling "error" on the cover insert but opened the game anyways. What can I say, I wanted to play it. However, when I began to notice that people were talking about the spelling error I decided to get another copy for my collection. Oddly enough, I had to go to WalMart around 1:30 in the morning because I had a pressing need for velcro strips (don't ask) and I saw two copies of the game sitting in their display case. I STUPIDLY passed on them because I knew I would be going by Gamestop today. This morning I hopped into the car and went to Gamestop and they were pretty much sold out. The only copy of the game they had was the one that they had opened for a display box so I would be paying full price for an opened game. I passed on that but I did pick up an extra Circle Pad Pro since those are selling out quickly too. Then I go to Toys R Us and somebody got there ahead of me. You could literally tell that somebody had been scrounging for copies of the game because all of the 3DS titles were neatly organized except for the ones which begin with "R". That section looked like a wave of actual zombies had rampaged through it. No, problem. I go to Target and learn that the store is being remodeled and the electronic section is being worked on today. That said, I did get to look at all of their 3DS games and they didn't have any copies of Resident Evil: Revelations. Oh, and Best Buy was sold out as well. Since I was in the area I decide to go back to WalMart (the same store I was at last night) and guess what... The same two copies of the game I saw last night were still there! I ask my wife to go find an associate to get them out of the case because there was no way in Hell I was going to let those things out of my sight. The associate pulls out the games and of course (since we are all still on first shipments) they have the incorrectly spelled titles. I tell the associate that I will take them both. He tries to sell me an extended warranty for those games but I told him they will not be opened so I don't need warranties. By this time my wife is intensely curious about the game and announces that she will want to play it. I am about to leave on an assignment and will be taking my copy with me so she says she will just take one of the new, unopened copies. That was not an option. So you know what I did? I went BACK to Gamestop to buy the opened copy but they sold it to some guy who had walked in a few minutes after I left the first time. He even bought the last Circle Pad Pro. I ask the guy to cal the other Gamestops and see if they have any copies left and one store is sold out and the other store only has reserve copies left. My wife says she doesn't mind just taking one of the unopened copies and I say we should try one more place. We ended up driving to another town 20 miles away to get the last opened copy of the game at the Gamestop there. I am kind of an idiot that way. So yeah, the game has been out two days and I already have four copies. I am beginning to suspect that Capcom did this on purpose. |
