I would think so. It's like group form gymnastics that takes many years of skill and practice.

They have their own comps.
That's my point...

They are getting hurt at the games of others not their own competition (well they get hurt there too)

If it is made a sport they will soon not be allowed to cheer outside of their own competitions
Their main purpose would be changed.

But they could solve the problem if they get rid of the dangerous stunts... It's crazy dangerous
They get hurt mostly during their own competitions and at the practices for those competitions. They really don't perform the dangerous stunts when cheering for teams.

From what I understand if it were declared a sport, there would be tighter restrictions on the stunts they could perform and it would be less dangerous.

My older daughter is a varsity cheerleader, but is not part of the competition team because she also dances and doesn't have time for all the practices. I am so grateful for that. But the coach likes her and is pushing her to be part of the competition team next year. :(

She could slip on soap in the shower and kill herself any day now.
Every Republic has its sins, but communism is a joke that is not funny. Get fluoride out of the water!
We both said a lot of things that you are going to regret.
