NOW PRESENTING ! Little Blue ![]() THE BASICS ! Name: Little Blue Age: Five Months Gender: Male Breed: Maine Coon mix Sexuality: Straight (Though he's a little young to be falling in love) Pride: Rank: THE KNITTY GRITTY ! Personality: Curious about everything, Little Blue often gets himself into trouble by sticking his nose where it doesn't belong. He has the insatiable thirst for knowledge that only a kitten could have, and is sometimes too blinded by curiosity to see the dangers around him. Otherwise, he is everything you'd expect a kitten to be. He can be a bit disobedient if he thinks he can get away with it, and he has little respect for other cat's personal space. He will get right up in your face is he wants to ask you a question, or curl up next to you when he's feeling tired with no qualms. Anyone and everyone looks like a friendly face to Little Blue, even if they're not. Which makes Little Blue such a wild card. Since he is still only a kitten, and basically a big ball of potential, he could become anything, based on the cats around him. He is very willing to learn, and a good listener (when he wants to be). Mischievous and sneaky, he will become the product of his raising, be it kind and gentle at the hands of those who only want the best for him, or ruthless and brutal at the hands of those who see his potential strength and exploit it. Appearance: This particular kitten is tiny at the moment, and while he can't remember his siblings and therefore has no clue whether or not he was the runt, he will one day grow to fit the big paws he sports. Fluffy, somewhat bristly tabby fur pokes out every which way, brown marked with the customary black tabby stripes. He has a little white on his chin and chest, and white socks on his front paws. His tail is shortish and poofy. And while they are still only kitten claws, the sharp little razors on the end of each toe will one day grow to be deadly weapons. Finally, his eyes are large and round, adding to his cute kitten charm, and a deep blue. Skills: Looking cute, bringing out the softer side of strays that he meets, scavenging. He can also hunt, to some extent. Only enough to keep himself alive, though nowhere near proficient enough to be called 'skilled'. History: Little Blue remembers his mother; oh yes. She was so beautiful, at least to him, and he loved her with all his heart. Him and his siblings were born underneath the porch of a human house, and although his mother never seemed to interact with the humans, Little Blue got the vague sense that the humans knew about the litter and his mother, but didn't seem to mind them. He couldn't be sure though, he only saw the humans once before they went away. Before they all went away, actually. It was only a couple days after he'd opened his eyes that his mother picked him up by his scruff and, one by one, set all four of her kittens on the front lawn. And what happened next, Little Blue still doesn't quite understand; after sitting in front of her babies for a very long time, his mother picked him up again, and started walking away. He tried to mew and tell her that she'd left his brothers and sisters behind, but he didn't have a voice yet, and he got the feeling she wouldn't have listened anyway. That was the last time he saw his littermates. He was only ten days old. Three months passed as he and his mother wandered the Island, scrounging food, dodging other cats. It was around this time that Little Blue got his name; after making an observation about how blue his eyes were after seeing his reflection in a puddle, his mother chuckled, and told him "Then that shall be your name." It was also around this time that he learned how to scrounge old human food scraps from abandoned houses and 'hunt'. While he couldn't stalk mice or birds, his mother did teach Little Blue how to catch beetles and little minnows that flitted about in ponds and creeks. But just as Little Blue was beginning to forget about his siblings and the hurt he'd felt losing them, another tragedy struck. Just like that, he woke one day to find his mother missing. The spot she'd been sleeping in was cold, and she was nowhere to be seen. He searched all day for her, and stayed in the same spot for several nights, hoping she would return, but even he had to admit, she wasn't coming back for him. It's been about a month since he's been on his own, and he's been doing alright. But there isn't a day where he doesn't wonder what happened to his mother, for he refuses to believe that she would have left him on his own. He also refuses to remember that that is exactly what she had done to his siblings at the beginning of his life. Family: Mother - A brown and black tabby mix. Not sure if alive or dead. Strengths: Hiding, swimming, climbing shrubs, stalking bugs, fishing small minnows. Weaknesses: Fighting, running, hunting bigger prey. MISC ! Alias: Spotty Did you get permission to use that image?: Yes |
