Maksim and Mesikämmen Tagged: Zemal, Eidolon "I'm fine," Maksim tried to gasp, but his quivering lips couldn't form words. The wind felt knocked out of his lungs, and no matter how he gasped, he couldn't seem to remember how to actually breathe. All he managed was to clutch his fingers over the hole in his stomach, his eyes widening as the dull throb of pain turned hot and sharp as a knife. He'd never felt pain as intense as this before, but it never occurred to him in the beginning that he might die. After all, no one died before a Hatching even took place, did they? "I'm fine," He tried to gasp out again as he heard rushing footsteps. Did someone call his name? Maybe... Mesikämmen bolted in front of the prince as he rushed over, hackles raised as he stared at the Elf with wary, bright blue eyes. It was impossible to ask Maksim if he knew this boy; The other Elf was slipping quickly into shock. Are you going to help Maksim? The Tragendire asked, glanced back over his shoulder to where Maksim lay. He was too worried to fight, and he stepped back slowly but determinedly to allow the Elf prince to pass. The Tragendire rumbled low in his throat as he nestled himself against Maksim's side, his bearded chin rested carefully on the Candidates hip. The prince is here, Maksim. He's going to help you. Try to lie still. The Tragendire urged, and Maksim's eyes finally slid sidelong to watch a pair of knees drop down beside him. He thought he recognized that voice. "Stop," He groaned in protest as Zemal's hands applied pressure to the wound. His fingers, slick with his own blood, tried to pry the elf prince off and away. He didn't want Zemal to see him like this, he decided. He wasn't sure why that was the first thought that came to mind. He knew Zemal didn't think he as weak, and therefore he had nothing to prove. Still, he didn't want the prince to see him cry or struggle, even if he had good reason to. He bit his bottom lip and tried to breathe though his nose, focused on Zemal's face instead of the bullet wound in his gut. He wanted to tell Zemal that he was pressing too hard, and that his hands were making him hurt worse, but he was afraid that the warm, metallic taste on his tongue was blood, and he didn't want it coming out of his mouth. Had he bit his tongue on the way down? Shit. He was going to die, wasn't he? The thought came suddenly and unbidden to his mind. It crashed through the haze of pain with enough vehemence to make Maksim gasp. He didn't want to die, and judging by Zemal's tone, he didn't want Maksim to die, either. The realization came with a burst of clarity, pulsing from his wound. It hurt a bit less than it did before, and that either meant he was dying, or it wasn't as bad as he'd originally thought. But the longer it went on, and the more his vision cleared, Maksim realized that he wasn't dying. Just the opposite, actually. He was getting... Less dead. The unicorn's here to heal you. You need to lie still, Mesikämmen reminded his bonded, and Maksim felt he could actually recognize Eidolon's face (a miracle considering they'd only been formally introduced before). He didn't know unicorns could heal. "I'm alright," He moaned again, louder and more clearly this time. He didn't even hear the ping of the bullet on the floor as it was pushed out of himself. His gut still ached, though whether that was from remembered pain or from actual discomfort was difficult to tell. He lolled his head sideways to try and offer his friend a grin. He was too body sore to do much else. "Does this mean I get my own honor guard now, too?" |

Prince Ahmduer to all involved It had taken a good while for things to begin to settle down, especially with all the back up, healers, investigators and other sorts of officials going around to bring aid and help the situation. Once the actual fight had stopped, and innocent candidates (Including those that had risen to defend the young Prince) were sent to sit nearby so that any injuries not already taken care of could be looked at. It was no small wonder that after all the great feats of healing done today by the unicorn, her powers in that area were likely fading for the day- Even perhaps the next few would leave the great being tired. Those injuries that remained were mostly harmless, though a couple had slightly worse injuries depending on how they had fought off the gang. There were only three that had not been ushered off to the side- Prince Ahmduer, Rhoan, and Aza. The latter two because the prince had not wanted to speak to the investigators alone. They asked questions and he answered, sometimes slowly, sometimes skipping the question until later. Other candidates were far enough away that his words were unheard- Likely also because one of the investigators was a humanoid formed Sonic dragon, who was keeping the sound from traveling to ears it ought not reach. His words and testimony of what happened even seemed to shock the investigators- who were likely quite long into their careers. The details, which came slowly, painstakingly from the young Centaur probably even shocked his sister and closest friends. Once this was done, the shame of everything burned within the Prince, though it was unlikely to ever be repeated at least by him in front of anyone else ever again. The investigators thanked him for his time, and a healer checked him over, making sure the unicorn got everything, which the healer was satisfied that she had, and no hospital time needed. Once the Prince managed to stand up on his shaky legs, he lurched forward to hug his sister, burying his head against her soft fur, mumbling things about how he had been so stupid. He'd probably end up needing theropy and likely would have trust issues for a while yet. Of the ten or so gang members, only three had been rendered dead- two technically, one was brain dead but had died during the evening. The rest of the group had been arrested, some hospitalized, others taken directly to the police stations where they would be held until a trial could be made. Despite the nights events thus far, candidates were encouraged to continue the festivities as best as they could after seeing a healer if they needed one. For Ahmduer, this included seeking out some food while hanging out with Aza, Rhoan and Nox, the only ones he felt even remotely comfortable around right then. Somewhere off to one side, at tables that had been re-filled with food for him and his friends. He ate slowly, quietly compared to how he usually was. He was tired of course, but the events ate at him, and he spoke little aside from when someone spoke of unrelated things... Idazon to Teagan Everything had happened so fast, it had felt like hours but was really seconds or less. But now, minutes later, the proper security was sorting things out and healers were all over the place now, people being moved here and there to separate those who had been involved directly, those that had defended, and those who had witnessed. At first the elder Prince had not noticed that Teagan was talking to him, everything was a daze. He perked his ears as an attendant spoke to a photographer who was apparently also a candidate, who had gotten everything on film. The security guards meant to be in that hall and keeping an eye on the back stables had been acting as personal security for the Prince of Lomira, Zemal! Perhaps they had assumed nothing would go wrong tonight. Whatever the case was, it made him angry. Because of their foolishness, his nephew had almost died, the friend of the Lomiran Prince had almost died. Teagan had been targeted directly by a shooter and could have died! Volcanic looking cracks seemed to spread along his usually solid black hide for a moment before he calmed himself, the cracks receding before they got too bad. He had not yet put down the young woman in his arms, and he was very aware of all the blood- And he assumed most of it was hers. The gash of her ear did look pretty bad, as did the grazed cut upon her face. He all but cantered to a healer who was not busy and demanded that he look at Teagan's injuries, ignoring his own, despite the healer's protests- At first he didn't really understand what the problem was. He assumed that the healer did not wish to heal Teagan, but what was actually being said was that the Black Centaur was actually bleedign quite a lot from his left shoulder where the bullet had struck him. Another healer was called over while the first went about putting gauze and antibacterial on the girl's wounds, after cleaning them up. The hand would need a greater healer's touch than his own, but he would get her the first higher healer that he could find. Idazon blinked, only just now beginning to feel the actual pain of the shot, adrenaline wearing down. He winced and looked at the injury- surely the bullet was still in there somewhere, but he had to stay here! He could not afford to leave. Any healing that needed to be done could be done right here, where he could scold the head of security and demand the punishment of those Security guards involved in the heinous act of abandoning their posts for bragging rights. Such was his anger that even as the healers agreed to perform whatever healing and removing of bullets they needed to right here and now, the Centaur barely flinched as the thing was drawn out. Maybe it was the blood-loss making him light headed, but he was more focused on other things. When someone had scampered off to go fetch one of the head security officers, Idazon turned and looked to the healer tending to Teagan, before watching what he was doing with the fiery intensity of a fire-hawk, his gaze only softening when he looked to the young woman herself and spoke, “Are you okay, Teagan? I'm sorry I was not fast enough to spare you injury...” he paused, before continuing- “Do you know if they can save your ear yet?” He looked worried, mostly because many women valued their looks, and he worried having a large scar upon her face and a mutilated ear might effect her enthusiasm somehow. Not that he cared what she looked like. It had been just under an hour since the initial shots had gone off, and by now much healing had been done. But still, the Centaur prince was worried what to do. His people would very likely be uneasy here now, and he still didn't know what sort of mental tortures might send the little prince packing for home. And of course, he had to let Nlaroh know, too, about these events. This could have thrown the whole allegiance into chaos...Such thoughts buzzed through his mind even as he waited for Teagan to answer. All at once an unrelated thought occurred to him, “Teagan, where is your brother? I could have sworn he was here!” Had the boy not done anything or acted since the attack occurred? And even after things had calmed down, he had not come to visit his sister while she was being healed. In fact, The Centaur Prince could not recall having seen him at all since the chaos broke out. As far as he knew, from what Teagan had told him, she had come here to Aesulla /for/ her brother, but where was he now? This troubled the Centaur, who was from a race that was so socially integrated, family was everything, even if family meant those of your herd, not of blood. It was unfathomable to him that a family member would ignore such an incident... The Centaur couldn't quite tell from where he was, but he thought perhaps the boy was either still eating as if nothing had happened or playing with one of his puzzles. Was human culture so different than that of his own people? “Is it not within human custom to comfort family members in times like these?” He winced as the healer working on him began to sew the wound up, which had been cut further to allow them to fix the damage done by the bullet before. They had sprayed something that made the flesh completely numb, so that probably helped a lot... Elsewhere Despite the goings on, the adult Tragendire had not abandoned their own post, and had kept letting loose kits one and two at a time until only one kit remained in the carrier play pen. It was perhaps the most outgoing of the group, and Polaris had worried it might actually have competed for the attention of more candidates than it could have reasonably bonded to, and so, the titan Tragendire had waited until the very last to let it loose. In the time it had been in the pen, it had paced the edges and peeked its nose and face over the pen walls to look at people. It was likely a good thing that it was last, otherwise it might have actually started a bit of a disagreement with other kits over candidates. But, indeed, it had also given it time to look and actually make up its mind well before the titan lifted her out and set her on the sands. She took off straight for a boy who really wasn't too far away at all, her coat magnificent- purely silver chrome, so shiny that it reflected everything, mirror-like indeed. She was an inch or so taller than the Solar had been, but much more lithe in her features, bearing a short feathered tail and a tufted mane, as well as fangs. She made her way quite deliberately headlong into the boy she chose, knocking him over to snuffle at him before flopping down and making adorable chuff-grunty noises. -Averon! Your Akiko is here now!- She spoke, wriggling about and demanding petting from the candidate. Food was probably on her mind, but for the moment she seemed just as happy to loaf on the boy. ![]() Size Chart Name: Akiko Element: Mental Personality: Attention-seeker, Intelligent, Manipulating Bonds to: Averon (Thalron) See Profile: HERE There was, in fact, one more Tragendire that was still out on the sands, doing absolutely nothing. He had been flung to his current position by the Earth-Sand Ngoloko, but even as he managed to find the tiniest shred of enthusiasm to stand up and actually try to bond to a girl near him, she had ignored his presence and instead, simply left. He wasn't surprised. He'd leave if he'd seen himself coming, truly. He was such a miserable creature. He sagged down and watched the flaunty girl leave the entire complex, for whatever reason. He sighed and laid where he was, until the great form of Polaris padded over to him and lifted him by the scruff once again to take him away. The kit didn't struggle and sort of dangled like a dead fish on a hook, pondering all the terrible things the Titan might do to him. Maybe he'd be drowned in a sack because he didn't bond? No, too brutal. Sold to a butcher maybe. His depressing thoughts were interupted when he was dropped again at the feet,...er...foot....of a young girl who was too enthusiastic to ever be brought down by his troubled mind. Not only that, the dragon and dwarf dragon as well as the other creatures she was with all had some level of protection to offer the human girl, who would likely not suffer from exposure to his mind, unless they didn't build up the mental walls. He was likely one of the few Tragendire who truly did not give a flying shit how many things a person was bonded to. Really he cared for nothing and no one, or anything in general so what difference did it make? -Hmph.....I suppose you shall do for Beiai. Don't say I didn't warn you, this is the worst day of both of our lives. I wouldn't be surprised if you ordered your dragon to kill me now. You probably should, really. What a tragic day for Rhoan, bonding to such a despairing thing as me. Minerva Tag: Dan, Brie Minerva blinked a bit as she looked at Brie and then kind of shrugged a bit "I was just asking." She said simply. "The unicorn over there told us to back down. Since I am no good at healing I came back here." She said softly "The matter was well in hand." Minerva rubbed the back of her hand. She was certainly not enjoying this human event and her opinion on the cities security and police force was pretty low at this point. They had allowed one of their people, a prince none the less, to be assaulted and harassed in the city. She couldn't help but wonder what was next, she honestly hoped it was just more food. Minerva had hoped to relax a bit and watch more of the Tragendire's show up as that seemed to be the most enjoyable part of the evening. She wanted to finish the night quietly but it seemed the city would continue to leave a bad impression on the large steam. The gun shot made her stand back up, The second had her move in such a way that if someone wanted to shoot in the small groups direction the bullet would have to go through her first. she expected more gunfire but then one of the newly arrived Tragendire took care of the fool with the gun. Minerva snarled a bit "I agree Brie, this place was supposed to be safe. it seems our hosts are letting such matters fall to the wayside tonight." She said and crossed her arms as she looked over the crowd for any other signs of an attack, it was up in the air if there were going to be more attacks or not, but Minerva was not letting her guard down again. She made that mistake her by assuming they were safe on the sands but it appeared she was wrong. Minerva sighed "I can only hope things will improve." She said softly as she looked around and then to her friends. |

Teagan; Tag Idazon Teagan dangled in stark silence from Idazon's bleeding arm without much of a means of protesting. Carried as she was with both of his arms around her waist and his shoulder bleeding like a stuck pig, she some how doubted he could put her down anyway without wrenching the bullet in some unpleasant fashion. Nevermind that it was a long way down, and she did not want to catch herself with the busted hand. There would not be enough curse words in her vocabulary to cover that discomfort. She had only half heard what had happened with the security. Something about people leaving their posts for a chance to rub elbows with some royalty. Wonderful. That seemed akin to some level of Nondiran incompetence. Given her experience in Aesulla thusly, she had thought that they would do much better. Apparently that was not the case and she winced as she felt her faith in the city's Titan waiver. First the power outage, Ahmduer's kidnap and assault, and some maniac with a gun. If it hadn't been for the good grace of the unicorn accompanying prince Zemal, at least one candidate would be dead. If the elf had gotten the shot off, it may well have been the young prince. If it hadn't been for Idazon, she'd be dead. Whether it was that sudden realization or the dregs of adrenaline that made her feel dizzy she couldn't be sure as the healers helped her to a seat while one of the presumably braver ones tried to talk Idazon. His arm showed no signs of stopping its bleeding and she half wondered if maybe the bullet nicked an artery, followed by wondering if centaurs even had arteries in their arms; they weren't human after all, despite the resemblance. Why her thoughts took a sudden turn to the medical she couldn't be sure. Anything was better than thinking about the various nerves that she was suddenly very acutely aware of. The graze to her face was the least of her concerns. Two broken, or at least fractured bones in her hand left her right hook swollen and useless while one of the healers cut what was left of her pock marked candidate uniform off of her shoulders. The burns were the easiest to deal with really as gel soaked bandages were applied with much cooling relief. “Are you okay, Teagan? I'm sorry I was not fast enough to spare you injury...” She cast a glance to Idazon as the graze across her cheek was tended. "You shouldn't have done that, Ida. Last I recall, you're pretty damn important." she tried to stave off the initial sting of the numbing spray as the healer set to work on her ear with an audible hiss. "...thanks though...wasn't exactly planning on dying today." if she had any complaints about her injuries, she didn't share them at all. Looks weren't all that important and she already had plenty little scars more or less everywhere, just as a result of her occupation. This one would at least have a story to go with it and that made it far more interesting in the long run. “Do you know if they can save your ear yet?” "Dunno ye-Mother fuckin'-SELHANZILAEL'S TITS! I thought you numbed that?!" there was an audible "Oof!" from the healer that had started to swab the severed ear with iodine as Teagan's elbow caught him right in the gut, causing him to stumble and fall backwards over the the shadowy body of Oreius as the tragendire kit made his way stealthily over to the pair without so much as anyone noticing him snuffling about. With the perpetrators all arrested or otherwise subdued, well, there was no need for him to linger any longer. He growled at the man as his fangs clicked into place. "This one has hurt you, Teagan. Oreius will return the favor." With a look of alarm, Teagan reached out with her good hand and grabbed a handful of scruff between Oreius' shoulders before those eager neon jaws could snap on anything important. "No! No, definitley not." The inky black tragendire frowned a moment and turned to look back at the healer squarely on his ass in the sand before sighing and tucking his fangs away once more before wiggling into Teagan's lap with a little bit of help from her good arm. "There we go..." she glanced back to the healer on his ass again with a sigh. "Sorry." that had really hurt but the sting finally seemed to wear off as the numbing solution kicked in "I think it's a little less sentitive now if you're up to trying again." As Idazon brought up the absence of her brother, Teagan blinked somewhat slowly. She couldn't turn her head to scan the crowd now that the healer was attempting-more carefully-to stitch her ear back together. She certainly didn't want him anywhere near the conflict, but it was long since over and it seemed that either he was completely oblivious, or perhaps occupied with friends. Whatever the case, she did not know. What's more, it hurt. A dull ache, but an ache none the less. "I'm...not sure. Hopefully he's still having a good time. He made a few friends on the trip over here." Whatever the case may have been, she did not have an answer for his absence. It would certainly figure that the one time she managed to find herself in dire straits that her sibling was nowhere to be seen. She did her best not to feel bitter about it, but anyone with a grain of sense could see that it was not just the healer stitching her ear back together that made her grit her teeth in silence. Perhaps they would speak later. Perhaps not. For now, she tried not to focus on it as she scratched the fur under Oreius' chin for a much needed distraction. Her hand still throbbed horribly but there was nothing they could do for it at the moment. |

Averon Receiving a Tragendire, and partially crushing Dan. Tag: others nearby Averon hadn't really expected this whole thing to be much more than a break from his day to day routine, some interesting classes, and a chance to get out of the house more than usual. He didn't expect to bond to a dragon, or anything else for that matter. He, of course, was ready for the responsibility if he did end up with one, he'd just be very surprised... About as surprised as he was when one of the small bear like creatures practically- or literally leapt upon him. He had made the mistake of starting to turn his back on them to walk away, or perhaps of paying attention to one other than Polaris who was handling the kits, but whatever it was he was somewhat blindsided by the thing. It already weighed a decent amount, even for such a small size. He wasn't sure if he had caught it, or it had caught him but it appeared to have glued itself to his half-turned front regardless. As he stumbled, twisted, and began to fall he somewhat instinctively shifted to his larger, stronger, and much more durable form that very much resembled the Tragendire... Minus the magic, the feathers, shiny-ness, and... Well, okay he just turned into a large-ish grizzly. It was unusual enough to startle a good many of the nearby people, as well as a Tragendire or two, but he wasn't precisely in a threatening pose as he landed on his rump, somewhat flailed, then sort of rocked and fell over backwards. Most of his weight and momentum had been transferred to the ground, thankfully, so the next soft feeling thing he collided with didn't end up being as flat as it otherwise might have. Still, there was a happy mirrored Tragendire sitting ontop of a bear, who had now thoroughly squashed someone. "Uhr... Oohps..." came a very rough, and somewhat growl-like voice. "Heigh uh.. Ahkiko?... Wha'd I lahnd ohn?" He really hoped it was one of the random horses being lead out of the area, but that probably wasn't in the cards for today. The small shiny Tragendire laughed happily as she stood on his chest and looked at the horrified people. "I think you just crushed a tiny centaur!" came her cheerful voice, it didn't sound like she was terribly alarmed about the situation at all. If anything, she seemed to find it hilarious. Of course she was the sparkling star on the top of this chaotic mess, which was fun, but also she could tell no one had been killed thus far. That would definitely have put a damper on the fun aspect of it. |

Aidan; tag Brie, Minerva, Averon and his glitterbaby, anyone not being smushed. Dan was partway through mumbling something to Minerva when the shouts of the fiery candidate made her chuckle and seemed to lift the sudden air of terror that had gone on. It was always funny watching people protest being mended; moreso when they were flailing and accompanied by a part glow stick kit. In fact the little dotty centaur was paying more attention to the curious huddle than she was to what was going on behind her. The only notice she had before a rather large bear-shaped thing came crashing onto her backside was the scrabbling of claws, the sound of a shocked voice and the yelps from a few other people nearby as they ducked away from impending doom. Not so fortunate was the filly. One moment she was about to ask if everyone was alright, the next her horse-end had crumpled under the half-weight of Averon and his Tragendire. Aidan only had enough time to yelp out something incoherent as she was knocked to the floor. Her head clocked the ground hard enough to send stars across her vision, fortunately not hard enough to do any real damage, and for several seconds the little centaur's free hooves pawed slowly whilst she came to again. As her eyes re-focused the first thing they spotted was a great big grizzly- "B-BEAR!" Squeaked Dan in sheer terror, having missed him shift or speak to his pup she believed him to be an actual wild animal. Despite the fact there hadn't been one in there before. Luckily for him her voice was rather quiet. Unluckily for him was the increase in heat and the smell of burning fur as she wriggled to get free. |

Rhoan - Comforts Ahm and gets a Trag Tag: Ahm, Aza, Nox, any Rhoan watched as Ahm struggled to his hooves, but sighed in relief when he stood steadily and hugged his sister. This left Rhoan alone in the sands while she watched, so Zulradenon nosed her way over and allowed Rhoan to pull herself up onto her one leg. Bracing her back against Zulra, she began to brush the sand and whatever else was stuck to her off onto the ground. Wobbly as she was, the task was decently managed. Rui's eyes scanned the sands, and after shifting back into a smaller, humanoid form, walked across the sands to retrieve her leg. I figured you might want this... He murmured telepathically, and Rhoan's eyes met his with a smile. Yeah, it'd be useful! Attaching her leg standing was always difficult, but she would shift too much in the sands. So, while Ahm shared a moment with his sister, Rhoan and Rui strapped her leg back on. Not very dignified for a princess, but she'd beat anyone with it who thought otherwise outloud. When she was able to stand, she followed her centaur friend to recall the events and listen. Wanting to be there for him, Rhoan placed a hand on his flank gingerly, brushing sand from him. She always felt better when she was clean, so maybe she could help brush him out later. For now, the quick sand brushing would have to do. The task was easy until Ahm got to the deeper parts of the story, and Rhoan's stomach quivered as well as her bottom lip. She kept her hand on his side and bit back tears. Every one of those boys deserved whatever they had coming to them. This was supposed to be a safe place, and the things they did to him were unforgivable. Rui picked up on the emotional shift, but kept away to avoid tampering with the report. There will be a time to be mad. It is not today though, my bond. You need to be there for your friend. I know how much you love him, so show it. Show him he's your best friend and make him feel welcome. Rui projected, walking over to the table they'd sectioned off for Ahm and his close friends. Nox was probably already there, so Rui could chat it up with him until Ahm, Aza and Rhoan arrived. --- "I figured I could probably slip in from time to time and help you guys study, if you'd like. I know i'm young, but I passed my dragon training with flying colors. The dragons I got to train with... it was insane." Rhoan smiled, alluding to the training she'd received after being teleported out of Nondir. Part of it was a lie though. She trained with unicorns too. "And i'm always open for questions. I like helping." Rhoan's eyes shifted from Nox to Ahm. She'd done her best to get a seat next to Ahm, although the other side would most definitely be preoccupied by his sister. "And besides, who else will I share my jokes with until I go in for surgery?" She nudged Ahm with an elbow playfully. The food was good, but as they ate, the Tragendires were still at work bonding. Pups were being bonded left and right, although it seemed as though two were remaining. One seemed a bit hyperactive and ready for bonding, while the other watched mournfully as Hanna walked out of the hall without so much as giving it a second glance. "Aww, it wanted to bond with her, and she ignored it..." It hurt Rhoan's heart. However, her attention was drawn back to the little silver Trag bonding. The Titan picked up the little panda-colored one, and Rhoan's heart quickened as it began to approach them. "Another Tragendire is on it's way, Ahm. Don't worry if you turn around." She warned him, and then watched as she plopped the, uh... lazy? Tragendire into the sands at her feet. It was very depressed, and seemed impartial to bonding. However, Rhoan felt the familiar bond she had when she'd met Zulradenon, as well as the baby Phoenix she'd hatched back home, so she knew that it was over and done with even if the Tragendire didn't want it. Beiai was his name? It was a cute name for a cute trag, despite the fact his personality fell a bit flat. "I'm sorry Hanna didn't pay you any attention. I know i'm not your first choice, but I promise to take care of you." She smiled, taking the food from her plate and setting it down in front of the tragendire. All of these pups were hungry, so Beiai couldn't be any different, right? "... I suppose you're going to keep me around then. Pity. If you didn't want to make a show of things, you could've just starved me instead of displaying dragon carnage. Pity for both of us, I guess." He grumbled, but lowered his head to eat nonetheless. Ruya, who'd been quiet for the majority of the night, switched glances with Ruya. For a few seconds Rhoan could see the gears turning in their heads as they communicated, and then Rui and Ruya turned their sights to Rhoan. Little one, I don't think we can keep this tragendire around. It's type is Mourning. It's a very depressed creature, and it will definitely alter your mental state if you hang around it for too long. It isn't about being a beastmaster if you can't even function. Ruya was trying to be polite about it, as well as Rui, but Rhoan knew that they didn't want the trag around her. Taking another bite of food from Rui's plate, Rhoan growled mentally. You're right. It isn't about being a beastmaster. It's about taking care of someone in need, even if it isn't the best situation. This trag has no one. His bonded ignored him. I'm not about to do the same. Rhoan ignored the both of them and reached down to ruffle the hair of Beiai, who hardly noticed as he ate lazily. ... He's not going to stay in the hospital with me though, that'd be bad. Rhoan thought to herself. |

Averon Attempting to un-crush Dan Averon was not the most agile, or speedy creature while in his bear form. Not to say that he was slow, but it definitely didn't match the wiring of his human form. Everything took more effort, with the exception of thinking, those thoughts just took longer to reach his mouth or limbs than he was used to. The opposite tended to be true in his dwarf dragon form, but that didn't especially matter at the moment. The easiest thing to do would likely have been to turn back into a human, or a dwarf dragon, or ANYTHING other than a bear. Unfortunately, in surprising or stressful situations the brain didn't follow the best logic, so instead his first instincts were to just get off of whatever he had fallen on. Akiko hopped down as the bear laboriously rolled over, his head turned to the side and- well, he wasn't expecting her torso to be so close as his muzzle more or less mashed into her chest as his shorter limbs got the ground under them and started to lift himself up. He snorted at the smell of burnt fur, but managed not to stay too inappropriately positioned for too long... Though 'too long' was somewhat subjective in this case. He was about to apologize when a pitcher of water was dumped on his head and back, it caused a somewhat surprised whuff. "Hey... Uh, oh.... Ohm sorry about that. Ahr you ohkay?" His speech was somewhat grow-like, but understandable. He also looked a little bit goofy now that he was dripping water and had some slight black marks on his fur- but it might take a little bit for such a freaked out person- or centaur to realize this. Meanwhile Akiko had moved back up against the bear and was happily eating random bits of food that she telekinetically lifted from nearby plates. Her mirror like fur glinting and reflecting the surroundings in an unnaturally clear fashion. "Oh no, a wild talking bear, how terrifying. I hope someone can save us! Averon, you can turn into a bear, why don't you--... Oh wait." She was still overly enthusiastic, or amused by the chaos centered around her. It hadn't been her intent to cause /this much/ of a scene but oh well! She was amazed that she even managed to knock Averon over in the first place, but him shifting mid way into the fall was priceless. She'd have to find a video of it later... It only would have been funnier if he had managed to fall face first onto the centaur and completely smother her for some amount of time, but that would have been nearly impossible to orchestrate by accident. |

Azarahl Nlaruxan She did not leave her brothers side for a moment even through the questioning by the investigators when they drew Ahmduer to the side so he could recount everything away from his peers. She was allowed to stay being his sister and looking like she would fight anyone that would try to part her from her brother. More than once her anger visibly flared up throughout her body as sparks ran through her fur while she listed to the horrendous things the men did to Ahm but all she could do now was hold and comfort him while he talked. Once her gaze flicked over to the injured and the men she and Callisto had made sure would not survive. They had each taken a life including the man Ahm kicked in the head before he escaped to the hatchery and the sudden knowledge sat heavy on her shoulders but after the realization she did not regret it after having heard what all had been done to her brother. If anything she was ready to electrocute the minds out of the others that had dared touch him. She was worried how Ahmduer would take it once the shock of everything settled, or even how it set with him now if he realized it. She forced herself to be more calm once they were released, for his sake. He needed to be surrounded by calm right now even if she was a roiling storm inside and she sometimes left little glass hoofprints behind her in an effort to dispel her energy down into her plastic shoes so it would not visibly show on her body. Katci padded softly next to her, relaxing sounds would occasionally emit from the Fire/Sound Tragendire and calming patterns swirled around her fur, paired with her Space sister (not by blood though) their patterns were undoubtedly hypnotizing. Katci's music was not just for Ahmduer though as she could sense the struggle her bonded was going through to calm her anger at all that had happened. Aza's anger never subsided but she managed to muffle it by stuffing food into her face and gently trying to get Ahmduer to eat while Rhoan and Nox picked up small talk to divert everyone's mind away from all that had happened. She would try to join in but her voice would randomly waver and crack and she decided it was best to stay silent, occasionally adding more food to Ahmduer's plate or grabbing another glass of something yummy to drink. |

Anviel Veyanir Tag: None (NPC Security Guard) Ultimately, it seemed that most of the action had died down. Security had arrived on the scene, and all of the troublemakers were subdued- or dead, in the case of a few of them. The bullet that Anviel had been so concerned about had in fact found itself in a candidate, but the unicorn and Prince Zemal were quick to tend to him. Other healers were attending to anybody that had gotten hurt, as well. The tragendire continued releasing pups to bond to other candidates, but ultimately, there wasn't much more to do, and nobody appeared to be in need of help that wasn't already being tended to. One of the security guards appeared to notice how lost Anviel looked, and tapped her on the shoulder, pulling her aside to ask questions about just what had happened. Genzai was quick on her heels, and crawled into her lap as she sat down in the sand. She ran her hands through his fur, and he didn't seem to mind. She was still rather shaken from the incident- she hadn't been in danger, not nearly as much as the other people there, but it was absolutely terrifying to think that criminals had gotten into candidacy, and that one had brought a gun. What if it was a bomb or anything similarly destructive? It could have been disasterous. Most of the criminals had been drunk, true, but the elf with the gun practically confirmed that it had been planned. The questions that the security guard asked were pretty typical- what she had seen, which direction she had seen the man come from, things along those lines. Genzai pitched in with additional details when he could. The conversation was very calm and didn't have any sense of urgency in it, and Anviel was thankful that the security guard seemed patient enough. She hated the way her voice betrayed the fact that she was still shaken up, but the security guard didn't say anything about it, and the conversation was over quickly enough. "I take it you're hungry..." She murmured to Genzai as the security guard began to walk away. Most certainly. The swiftness of his response betrayed how eager he was. The closest table had been set up for the centaur prince and his friends, so Anviel instead walked to a more distant table, where a few candidates remained, their eyes still trained on the direction where the action had been despite the fact that it was settling down. She managed to solicit a bit of food from them, and Genzai happily ate up whatever she could get. A few times Genzai would eat it straight from the other candidates rather than waiting for Anviel to offer it- it seemed to amuse everybody more than anything, but it showed just how hungry he was. When the tragendire declared that he was done, the Anviel thanked the candidates at the table and walked away, standing near the exit. Even if she had been nervous throughout the entire ceremony, she had been excited for it- and it could very well be her last if she ended up bonding at the hatching. However, all she wanted was to go home- no, not home, her room- and just sleep the night away. All the same, she was nervous to leave right away- she was worried that security might want to keep everybody on the grounds for while in case they still had things to sort out. Don't worry, Anviel, I'll be right with you, under the covers. Genzai said, a playful tone to his words. Sweet Celestial. Anviel thought, visualizing a full-grown Genzai trying to sleep under the covers, as she began to formulate a response. I heard that. The tragendire teased. |
