Irasotiel landed softly and with much care for her current condition. She was always graceful regardless of the circumstance, but being gravid left her feeling... more delicate. It was a little strange, she knew, and likely some of her concern was unfounded, but that did not stop her from touching down so gently that her large form barely disturbed the earth she touched. The flaring of her numerous wings flattened the grass momentarily, but it soon sprang aright again once she folded them against her back. She was a mother. Was going to be a mother, and this was not a path she had ever given much thought to. On the Celestial plane one did not feel urges such as mortals did, so when she had felt the first pangs of need when mating season began she was surprised, to say the least. But she was as she had been made, and there was no shame in that. If she was meant to bring life into this world then so be it, and in truth she delighted at the prospect. Irasotiel was no stranger to leading souls into the afterlife, or even bringing them back if it was necessary, but this... this was different. This was new life, a new beginning. They would be of her flesh, of her blood. And of Cernunnos'. She had balked at first, at the notion of being drawn to him. He was her ward, her charge, and she his protector. That she might abuse that authority over him was not something she ever intended to do, no matter her physical urges. She had even gone so far as to deny them for a time, to seek guidance from the Celestial realm, but there was no judgement to be found there, no condemnation. Who else was there for her, if not him? It almost seemed as if they were intended to be from the very beginning, a concept she was not unfamiliar with. He was with her now as she arrived in Aesulla in preparation of her laying. It was not yet time, but it would be soon, and like many others she wished to have plenty of time to choose an ideal nesting site. Unlike the other soon to be mothers, however, Irasotiel did not go directly to the hatching cavern. She landed instead near one of the ground's two libraries, though that was not her destination. The adjacent infirmary was; as was her custom she intended to look in on the ill and ailing to see if her aid was needed, though she was not sure that Zeliniel, who also accompanied her on this trip, was going to approve. That wasn't entirely fair. It was not that Zeliniel disapproved of Irasotiel healing those in need, but the other Seraph had become remarkably... well, fussy in the last few months. She herself was not egg-heavy but seemed determined to make sure that her sister did not overtax herself, becoming a near constant shadow particularly in this last month before Irasotiel was due to lay. Were she not such a patient being she might have found it a touch overbearing, but she knew that the Paladin meant well. "You have my solemn oath that I shall not overtax myself, Zeliniel," she said to her companion before the other Seraph had a chance to speak, sounding warmly amused. "But I would like to look in on at least one of the infirmaries here before I proceed to the grounds." |

Cernunnos Tag: Irasotiel, Zeliniel Using his willpower and call to the earth, small tendrils and vines snaked themselves through the cobblestone ground, from the fine dirt and tightly packed sands. Grasses grew, and a few longer vines sprouted beautiful golden flowers, flaked with white edges. The lush greenery stood out against the sort earth as Irasotiel landed, but she deserved nothing but the best as she gingerly touched ground. The best care. The most thought. All of this for his own. As his own paws touched the ground, claws clinking against the random rocks, grass began to sprout where he rested as well. His alert eyes scanned around, as if attempting to see any dangers. If there were any there, the land would have told him. Perhaps i'm a bit more protective than I thought... He amused himself with these mortal urges. The pangs and yearnings of the mating season had come as a shock to both of them, it seemed. The Celestial plane had no room for such silly things, but Cernunnos had long given that up to walk down upon the land. Although he had forgotten much from above, he still retained the notion that this was strange. But, given that he was in constant company with Irasotiel (even before the idea of a mating flight was finally accepted) who better to spend it with? Cernunnos had urged and courted as hard as he could. On the sunset of his acceptance, Irasotiel changed heart and accepted. And now here they were in Aesulla as a mother and father to the egg that Irasotiel would eventually bear. Cernunnos could not help with this particular burden physically, but he did his best emotionally, perhaps to the point of Irasotiel's mental exhaustion. Only so many flowers could be given, it seemed. Cernunnos's ears perked up as he shook his large man back into place. The wind had ruffled him a bit, so taking to the land was a more comfortable solution. Golden scales and fur shimmered until they took the color of Aesulla and it's lush greenery. The hatching caverns were in the opposite direction, and with an amused chuff, Cernunnos followed Irasotiel towards the infirmary she was so dedicated to visit. Gingerly folding his wings, Cernunnos looked over his shoulder at Zeliniel, curious to see if his mate's companion was truly swayed by her oath. "I think it was to be expected, Zeliniel." Already accustomed to his mate's giving, healing nature, Cernunnos smiled but kept a wary eye nonetheless. So close to laying, and yet she still had a mind for others. Cernunnos didn't know how she did it. "With the both of us watching her, I doubt she can get into too much trouble. He added with a wink. "Lead the way." The Nature planted a reassuring nuzzle into Irasotiel's side as he followed. |

Zeliniel Chroniacresht The Seraphic/Time had not felt the urges of mating this season like her sister Seraph Irasotiel had. It was not to say mating was something she was against, she had most probably had offspring during her previous lives on the mortal plane though she had not been a Seraph at the time. Perhaps she had not yet found one which she wished to share in one of the most sacred acts of life. To give birth to young was something they could share with the great Celestial herself and it was something she felt she would only share with the worthy of males. What it might be that made a male the acceptable to her she knew not, and did not worry over it. She would know when she found him and until then, she could put whatever motherly instincts she had toward Irasotiel. When the other Seraph began to speak, starting by saying she would not overtax herself and that she wanted to visit the infirmary, Zeliniel made small unhappy noises. Cernnunos was right and she had expected it but she made a grumpy face at the Nature before following Irasotiel. "As soon as I sense even the slightest of strain you're done, alright?" She said as she softly nuzzled her sisters shoulder. Zeliniel knew Cern would not let her strain herself either and with the two of them they had a chance to drag the Healer away from the infirmary. She stretched her wings while they were out in the open before folding the four pairs neatly against her back. The Aesulla hatching complex was so far beautiful, the light streaming in from the glass dome made it seem as if it were an outside field and not in the middle of the most technologically advanced city. She had heard that there had been a major security breach during the opening festival and many candidates had been killed and of those that had attacked the Centaur Prince, a few had even been killed in self defense. Though she was confident that those who had slacked in their duty had been taken care of and they would be safe here she still felt a little on edge. It could be her over protectiveness of Irasotiel as of late or it could be that a power outage in the presence of Terminus nagged at the back of her mind ever so slightly. She could find no answers at this moment and dwelling on it would get her nowhere. "Shall we go then? She gestured to Irasotiel to lead the way not knowing if she had a particular Infirmary in mind she wished to visit. "Lead and we shall follow fearless leader!" She said with a playful tone in her voice. |

Cleric Lysander Tagged: All the dragons let's be real It wasn't at all unusual for Lysander to find himself in an infirmary or hospital. He'd long since gotten used to the pristine surfaces, the sharp smells, and the general, stark whiteness of medical buildings. There'd been a time when he'd approached such places with dread. The tests performed on him when he had been a child had been not only painful, but also confusing. He was better acclimated by now, of course. Hospitals were like a second home, and the beds in this infirmary were deep and comfortable. The excitement during the hatching had worn him out. He woken the morning after almost too weak to get out of bed, his face caked with dried blood from where his nose had started bleeding profusely in the middle of the night. The latter was almost always a precursor to a flare-up of his illness, and the infirmary stay was a good precaution. He didn't mind being here: The nurses were kind, the doctors were helpful, and he could nap the days away until he felt strong enough to move again. And he felt as if he might just be reaching that point. Even Lysander, who was so used to being idle, became restless after a certain time. Life (his especially) was too short to be spent staying abed, and though he figured he was probably pushing himself more than he had to, Lysander was already taking opportunity of the quiet mornings in the infirmary to putter around his room. The first lap around his room had been difficult, but now, with walker in hand, he was moving around quite easily. He was sure the doctors would be pleased, and with any luck, he'd be free to return to the main part of the compound tomorrow. For now, he was content to simply make it to the grounds. He had a door leading out to the grassy walkway, and with any luck he'd be able to spend a few hours in the sun. He was still quite body sore, but Lysander was no stranger to that, either. The fresh air and the sunlight would do him some good, and Celestial knew Daisy would probably like the opportunity to stretch her legs. He tapped his leg, extended his hand to where Daisy lay on the floor. She didn't move, her chin tucked down against her paws, tail wagging nervously behind her. She huffed out a whine, and then slunk beneath his bed. Odd. "Daisy?" Lysander questioned with good humor and a touch of worry. "Are you alright?" It was unusual for the dog to disobey, and worrisome that she would so stubbornly continue to do so. Daisy was not only usually eager to please, but also very well trained. Still, he supposed he could manage on his own. The walker gave him plenty of balance, and he could-- His thoughts were cut short as a dark shadow passed over the grounds outside of his window. By now, Lysander had grown used to seeing dragons nearly every day, but the fact that they were now commonplace did little to dull his excitement. The cleric's eyes lit up, and he shuffled quickly out his patio door to see who might be landing. More and more females were starting to gather with the hopes of choosing the best places to nest, and although Lysander hadn't been brave enough to request access to the Hatching Grounds themselves to watch the selection process, he still enjoyed watching the dragons arrive. He moved as quickly as he could without stumbling and drawing attention to himself, and rounded the corner of the infirmary to where the dragons had landed. And at the sight of them, he gasped. Lysander's heart pounded in his chest, and he had to clutch tightly at his walker to stay upright as a sudden burst of dizziness nearly overtook him. Surely he was seeing things. A slow, firm blink, and then another did very little to erase the image from in front of him: Seraphs, and the child of the Celestial herself. His chest hurt terribly, and when he opened his mouth to gasp, he released a startled cry of elation burst from his throat instead. He quickly covered his mouth, shut his eyes to try and catch his breath. "Oh, no," He breathed, and had the wisdom to sit on a bench before he collapsed from the shock. "My ladies," He choked out, and part of him hoped they wouldn't hear him, lest he embarrass himself by engaging them further. "My Prince." Hot pinpricks stung the back of his eyes, and Lysander managed to hold his composure for a few moments more before he dropped his face into his hands and wept. "I'm so sorry. I'm not fit to look upon you. It's an honor," He choked out, one shaking hand determinedly wiping his own tears away. "A life's dream. I'm so sorry." No doubt his weeping was embarrassing. "I'm so sorry." |

"Are you insinuating that I am a troublemaker?" Irasotiel asked with a quiet laugh, head canting slightly to the side as she turned to regard her mate. It was true that she did often put herself into what could be considered unsavory situations, but then those who needed her the most were generally those in some form of trouble. Regardless, it was unlikely that any here in Aesulla would attempt to harm her, and even if they did they would not find an easy task of it; she was a healer by nature but a warrior by trade and was well able to hold her own in battle. Not to mention that it was a fool's errand to try anything with both Cernunnos and Zeliniel at her side. "You need not worry," she reassured them as she nuzzled each affectionately in turn. "I shall not overburden myself." In all likelihood there were not going to be many who needed healing, even with what had occurred at the opening ceremony. Aesulla did not lack the ability to tend to its wounded. Truthfully Irasotiel wanted to visit the infirmary because her presence was soothing to those who were there even if she was not able to cure them, and because it was in her nature to offer succor to those who were in need of it. This was unlikely to stress her greatly, but as she began to lead the way toward one of the two infirmaries in the area, a startled cry made her pause. Her head swiveled around just in time to see the small figure of a man collapse onto a bench, and immediately he was the focus of her attention. Several long strides brought her closer to him with ease, but Irasotiel slowed as she drew near. His body was frail, she was able to tell as much without even needing to touch him, but his soul blazed bright in that fragile shell. He was also familiar to her in some way, and it did not take her long to recognize him as one of the devout. Irasotiel's stride shortened, her pace lessened, and she finally drew to a stop several yards away. She did not want to overwhelm him with sheer proximity, but she also wanted to be close enough to catch him if he should faint. "Why do you weep, little Brother?" she asked him softly, her head lowered so far that her chin nearly brushed the ground. He was saying something but it was muffled by his hands, though his weeping was clear enough. |

Cernunnos Tag: Duh "Were I not better educated, i'd say your middle name was trouble." Cernunnos teased, following behind as Ira progressed forward. Here in the infirmary there wasn't much danger about. Many in here were sick and weak, and even in her current condition, Irasotiel could most definitely take care of herself. Anything that wished to harm her from inside this particular room would be taken down quite easily. As his eyes scanned the room, the visage of people there confirmed his musings. "I'm very impressed. Granted, I've spent most of my time in Nondir. It's nice to see this room almost barren. The land is happy here, and healthy. It would appear as though the people here are as well." It was a nice change of pace, to be sure. A startled cry filled the room, shrill and surprised. Cernunnos's ears shot up with intense focus, his pupils dilating as he scanned the room for the source. The hair on the back of his neck prickled eerily, as though the dragon were a bit too overprotective. He'd deal with the teasing later, if it ever came. For now, the source of the cry was currently sitting on a bench catching his breath through sobs. Ira stepped closer out of curiosity and worry, Cernunnos was sure, but it still made him worry. Although he liked this land, he did spend the majority of his life so far in Nondir, where a ploy like this could get someone killed were it a trap. Upon further inspection from the man, Cernunnos recognized his face as one of the worshiping parties that walked the earth. That much he was certain. The visage of two Seraphs and the child of the Celestial was probably enough to make his heart stop at that age, and Cernunnos was glad that wasn't the case. Taking a few steps in to avoid clogging the hall, Cernunnos sat beside Irasotiel and curled his tail around his paws neatly, trying to look as unimposing as possible. His weeping made it hard to understand him, but he could gather bits and pieces. The shame waved off of him, and Cernunnos pinned his ears to the back of his head. He never had to deal with this on the Celestial plane. It was easy to have worshipers and followers from afar, but being on the ground made it much different. One had the opportunity to meet Seraphs, and direct descendants from the Celestial. As regal as Cernunnos was, he wished he could be anything but to comfort this man. In an attempt to cheer the man up, a beautiful white flower sprouted from between the stone of the floor. His hunched position made it easy to see. With Ira already questioning him, Cernunnos felt no need to continue to pry the older man. He was already embarassed and ashamed enough. Lacking in the down-to-earth social skills, Cernunnos decided against further action and instead kept his eyes and posture warm for the man to see. There was no reason to cry or be upset. If anything, Cernunnos was more curious of him than anything. |

The last few months had been more eventful than most of the Seraph's life thus far put together. With few exceptions, of course. Perhaps it was the instinct for Seraphs to gather that led her to this particular area of the Aesullian campus, which far surpassed that of the Nondir design- As far as she knew, in Nondir even the new complex only had the hatching ground, a few teaching rooms, a not nearly big enough library, and the personal quarters for the candidates and then wyrmlings. There was also some sort of training ground as well, and some places for healers, but in the end it hadn't mattered too much. She had not seen the other Seraphs in a long time, perhaps it had been intentional. She had spent much of her life apart from other souls, wandering and keeping to herself, that it almost felt strange to see not only Zeliniel and this mortal forms daughter, Irasotiel. Lineage was strange, to be sure. On the Celestial plane, they were mostly all unique, though they refereed to each other as sister or brother. There were a few exceptions of course, in private dwellings even on high there were those who explored other desires, where the other, younger seraphs knew of it or not. It was not all that uncommon, but it was different than the mortal plane, though most of the younger Seraphs had likely not discovered such in their existances, or if they had, had forgotten in favor of the mortal plane. She herself had not done a thing, even during the nondir flights. Irasotiels egg had been formed entirely by the combined magics of elemental breeding tehniques. It was not that the male she'd chosen wasn't worthy of her, she simply had not wished to find any pleasure in life at that point. And so life goes. Whatever had happened in the three years following that was anyone's guess, but at some point Talherahiel had changed for the better, though she had actually stayed somewhere within Nondir during that time and only left because she was urged to leave and take His friends with her. She had traveled to Etharius, just to get as far away from Nondir as she could and still be safe enough for the trip from there to Aesulla. She had come fairly early, as well, to avoid any issues with the oncoming war she was sure would find Etharius soon enough, and so she had gotten a room close to the hatching complex fir for a massive dragon like herself, which meant it was spacious enough for the three friends of her own and cauldron's she'd brought with her. But today she had gotten the urge to go out and maybe have a look at the grounds, or maybe just to move. In the last few days the egg, she could assume was only one, but was massive, though not massive enough to be titan egg she assumed, was making her very uncomfortable. It radiated a presence she could not quite put a talon on, but knew to be important. Not only that, but it was getting extremely uncomfortable, either by size or perhaps its shape did not agree with her. She wanted to rest and keep still as much as she wanted to move, as if she could escape it. But, whatever the reason, she had ended up here, near the medical area close to the grounds. As she landed, her massive form likely shook the ground for a moment as she braced for the impact, her numerous wings folding up neatly one at a time. She dipped her head in greeting to the others as she moved closer, and unless they were blind would have noted the unusually large bulge in her gut that was sure to be an egg on the otherwise lithe frame of the first Serph. As if self conscious, she shifted down into her humanoid form which hid any likeness of the egg, though she still felt it as she had in the larger form, likely because the other form didn't just cease to exist when a shift happened, it still existed in some form or another, just different. She had heard the sound of muffled crying and thought perhaps something had gone wrong for someone, it looked like a human was being comforted by Irasotiel. As a humanoid form, she padded her way over to the group. Her form was unmistakable to anyone who had studied the celestial religions, where images of herself had been jotted down, sometimes inaccurately, depending on the artist. Her humanoid form's horns were a bit different than her draconic form, in that they were much reduced, likely for simplicity's sake. As she moved, the light, glowing blue and white tendrils flowed like waves or ribbons in a breeze from her shoulders where her main wings connected, even when she stopped near Irasotiel's great face and Lysander to see what was wrong, they never really stopped moving. She looked to the man and spoke, her voice calm with just the faintest hint of a pleasant, heavenly ring to it, "Are you all right, Sir? Has something happened?" The Seraph smiled to Irasotiel and the others, not forgetting to greet them, either. "It seems we've all converged at the same time here, how are you all faring? Well I trust?" It was possible that the others could sense the strange radiating presence about her that was clearly not her own. It was powerful, it lingered about her in such a way that it almost seemed to be her own, but indeed, was not. Even the human might have sensed it, if he tried, though more likely as not, he would just sense it as being that of the seraphs own aura. |

Seraphic/Time Zeliniel Chroniacresht She heard the startled cry though it was soft and ever so faint looking around for the source and seeing a man sitting on a bench with a walker in front of him as Irasotiel moved closer to the man as well. Zeliniel moved to see what is wrong but thought that two full sized Seraphics crowding in ones face might be a little much so she morphed into her smaller humanoid form as she approached halting a couple paces away from him, standing under the jaw of Irasotiel her arm raised up and she absentmindedly scratched the Seraphs jaw while observing. She could tell instantly he was of the holy order, those devoted to Selhanzilael, which would probably explain the sudden cry and shocked look upon his face. Before he could answer though a powerful aura became clearly evident and the Seraphic/Time looked around for the source before seeing Talherahiel, the first of their kind. Zeliniel was incredibly surprised to see the Seraph and even more so to see that she was quite gravid. They had not seen her since their own hatching at Nondir and had learned through others that she was quite a hermit especially for their kind but it was also known that she became such after her rider had died. But there was something else that she had noticed before even identifying the Seraph, that incredibly powerful aura. She was amazed at the sheer presence surrounding her that must be coming from the egg she carried within. Zeliniel could only imagine what being would be hatched from such an egg that radiated so strongly even within its mother. She dipped her head in a respectful greeting as she approached, having also shifted into her mortal form and stood on the other side of Irasotiel's jaw and inquiring to the man as well. Before she had shifted though Zeliniel had noticed her full form and what she could only imagine where the effects the egg was having on her. She began to feel nervous at the thought of an egg with such a presence that could cause it's Seraphic mothers body so much strain. "It seems we have indeed. I wonder if the soul of this man is what drew us to this location." She turned to him and with a soft voice asked him "What is your name Sir? |
