Fate has a funny way of working sometimes. Usually, it was a Titan who was first to feel the deep rooted pangs of an egg being ready to be laid, which either by magic or perhaps pheromones created by the 'queen' dragons caused the whole lot to converge into the hatching complex, where over the next day or two most every dragon who had had a flight and was gravid would come to lay their eggs. It almost always started at dawn, and it was almost always Yggdrasil who heralded the laying season, even if she herself did not carry eggs on a particular year. But for the First mortal Seraphic dragon, Talherahiel, none of anything was going particularly right. For one thing, the egg inside her was too big, bigger than she had ever considered it might be, and for another, it wanted out now . The pain had caught the Seraphic off guard, normally eggs didn't cause such agony even under normal circumstances. True, large eggs tended to cause discomfort and even sometimes pain depending on the orientation of the shell, but what the Seraphic felt was something wholly unprepared for. She could barely speak as she tossed and turned in the temporary home she had rented out for herself and her friends, whom she had very likely woken up with her unusually pitched whimpering and crying noises.

Logic and sense flew out the window as much as she did. Perhaps she should have stayed where she was and allowed them to help her, but a wild insisting instinct drove her to take flight, her multiple wings weaving the air to a frantic degree. She was glad she had some idea of where it was she would nest, far from most other dragons and high up, above the crystal area nearest to what felt starry celestial skies above. She drove her wings through the deep night, though it was not so dark as it might have been had it not been Aesulla. At least the hatching complex was reasonably dark and quiet, lit in half light for the night crew that tended the grounds. They could not have prepared for the sudden arrival of a dragon that surpassed the height of the last Celestial that had been born at over a hundred feet at her graceful shoulders, let alone a dragon frantic and driven almost mad with pain. She had intended to land right on the large outcropping, which actually did have safety walls to prevent the likes of candidates and smaller dragons from falling, if they couldn't fly. It was not typically recommended for those of flightless nature, but at least it was far away from where the others might choose to lay.

The Seraphic was hit by a sudden contraction just as she was aiming to land, making her veer off and land harshly on the stairway that led up to the perch. There she lay, her wings unfolded, flopped at her sides like a bird that had just hit a window, undignified and uncaring. She dared not try to take flight again, the effort to stay aloft like this was too much for her and so she struggled, climbing up the stairway, practically crawling up them slower than she would have liked. Those attendants that had seen her arrive were at a loss for what to do, who could help such a massive thing? All they could do was wait until she had at least reached the top, which she did eventually do, heaving herself up only to collapse on her side next to a cushioned spot usually intended for eggs until a proper elemental nest could be made. She had to rest but no rest could come in her state, so she rolled back to her limbs, her wings mantled at her sides as she waited, breathing when she could, her head lowered against the warm stone beneath her as if in prayer, an almost pathetic whimpering escaping her. She could feel things inside her pushed beyond their limit, and she was all too aware when she felt something inside her tear, and the egg itself had not even really begun to move. Absently she wondered if perhaps she should have stayed home with the other dragons or even sought help. Regret washed through her mind but it was too little too late now. She would have to hold on until the egg was out to seek healing.

It was no short process, to be sure, it took the poor Seraphic at least an hour before that armor plated egg came free, a final pained cry escaping Talh that echoed across the grounds and shook the hearts of those who heard it. The egg was gently moved to its place upon the nest, shimmering and coated in the ethereal glowing blood of its mother, the shell too think and misshapen in places, dreadfully and unkindly sharp in others, and still yet in other places it was gently smooth, as if it did not know whether to be harsh or kind or indifferent. Talherahiel regarded the egg for a few moments, breathless and light headed, dizzy and exhausted. Before her eyes the outer armor which looked so clunky about it began to peel itself outward, lifting off piece by piece until a strange and beautiful floating array of armor was before her. Before her very eyes not one but two massive halos erupted into being, their arrangement and pattern matching one she was most shocked to see here. And now. Had things gotten to this point already, that... that being had been called forth? It radiated a power so intense already, had been doing so for months now. Had the world gone so astray,....why now?..... Her thoughts were puzzled and confused, she didn't know whether to weep or bow her head and avert her eyes from its glory. She had hoped the pain would end as soon as it was free but if anything, she was all too aware of it now. Blood escaped her and she had not the strength to feel shame or undignified by it, not as she collapsed upon the stoney perch and breathed, her jaws parted just so. She would have to seek a healer soon,...after a little rest, perhaps. White-blue, glowing blood dripped from her parted jaws, landing in the sand and across the crystals far below as she felt her mind slipping. She was mortal, after all. She undoubtedly had internal injuries among other things, her precious life hanging in a dangerous balance.

It was likely that the other Seraphic dragons, already here and gathered, had heard that heavenly voice cry out- and after having seen her and witnessed the egg weeks ago within her, they might very well have been clued in as to its origin. The hatching assistants were already calling for aid the moment they realized how badly hurt the Seraph was, her innocent blood soaking in the sand even as they rushed to get help, even if they had to wake the Life Titan and the Host itself.

There stood next to the unconscious Seraphic an egg standing seventeen feet high, absurd and domineering of those watching it. Judging them. With all its halos and armor floating about it, the whole array was at least nearly sixty feet wide, the tallest arching halo very nearly forty feet above, though the egg itself was only eleven feet wide, not counting the floating pieces. It did not have the same presence of a titan. No, it had something...more intense than that of a Titan egg, despite being a few feet too short to be classified as even the smallest of Titan Eggs. Whatever this was, its power radiated in such a way that even the Titans marveled at what had come through to the mortal world. And worried for what its arrival meant. Was the world prepared for the implications this egg had brought with it?

Seraphic Talherahiel : 1 Seraphic Egg

At seventeen feet tall and eleven feet wide, this egg is only a few feet shy of the minimum size denoted to Titans. It is not a Titan's egg, but a very clear power, a massive presence radiates from it as much as its large halos and floating armor. The egg itself seems to demand respect without having to ask for it- Coated in a strange silver-blue and gray colored metal, no doubt a metal from the celestial planes like that of Seraphic armor. Gems like those of dragon crystals adorn the armor coated egg. Its surface is both smooth and sharp, and when laid, thick panels which originally made the egg look terribly lumpy and misshapen, soon lifted off the surface and became a beautiful array of floating pieces and shield-like parts. In addition, a massive double halo. Floating armor and halos included, the width of the halos span nearly sixty feet, an the top of the halo reaches almost forty. A couple floating crystals radiate a glorious heavenly light. The full circular halo arounf the middle of the array spins slowly, and most of the floating pieces tend to orbit but cannot be removed. Touching the egg has strange reactions in those who dare try. It is intense. Even Titans seem to hold the egg in high regard, and Seraphs treat it with absolute respect.

Woken from a deep slumber, a wailing keen had alerted the scarlet Sonic dragon, who got to her legs, her gaze blearily looking around the pitch darkness of the room she was currently sleeping in, likely with her mate who had probably heard the sound too. Almost as if the Seraphs call had the power of a titan to begin the laying, so to had it awoken that instinct in Tonare. This was not the first egg the Sonic had ever laid, and by now it was routine. Her somewhat bulky, yet sleek at the same time body had handled her large eggs well enough this year, though as luck...Or chaos, would have it, both eggs within seemed bigger than ones she'd had before but nothing she couldn't handle. She got up and nuzzled her mate, crooning to the blind dragon and letting him know she was leaving for the complex. He could join her now or later, she didn't care.

She had long ago lost any amount of particular shame regarding laying eggs, and so when she left, it was a simple enough matter to find herself a place that felt right. She was a firm believer in finding the right nest at the last minute, and true to her nature, as she took in the grounds, her body did well to alert her to some queues. Somewhere warm for sure, but also somewhere that sound had a place to resonate well. On the borders between the crystal-like area on one side, and the forges on the other, she began to dig into the ground a bit, shuffling about and bringing over crystals and forge boxes- which were large, heated platforms used for keeping eggs warm, particularly those of the larger egg groups of fire, lava, solar, and metal, glass, as well as many other similar 'hot' elements.

Soon enough, she had laid two eggs, one a glorious shining and smooth earth egg, the other a sparkling red Fire egg that had a beautiful harp-like structure coiled about it. She arranged both upon the heated nests and arranged the crystals to her liking, uttering a soft tuning noise to set the crystals ringing pleasantly. As things settled down for her, she could only look on and wonder how the healers were faring with the Seraphic, worry clouding her mind a little. The egg, she could see it from here- how could you miss it? Seemed very important, but the Sonic was unsure what would happen to it if the Seraph were to die, not that she'd ever say such a thing out loud. It was considered in bad taste to speak of death in such a place meant for joy and new life...But still, it didn't look good.

Sonic Tonare : 1 Earth Egg, 1 Fire Egg

The Earth Egg was a little small, if by only Earth egg standards. It stood seven feet tall from top to bottom and was five feet minimum wide and around. It was of a deep green color which almost faded to black in some places, a brighter shade of shiny green in the middle flanking a nearly white shade of green that made a soft swirl marking down the front and back of the egg, the middle much brighter than the rest, much like a shiny marbled stone. The shell was extremely smooth to the touch and seems almost polished, with mineral flecks that sparkle within.

The Fire Egg was beautiful to behold, a rich red speckled with gold and dark whirls. Coiled around the shell on either side is a brilliant golden coil with smaller curling swirls of gold, harp-like strings thread either side. The gold has areas of rose-gold (Gold inlaid with copper). In some places, golden triangles are visible adorning the shell in the whirls. Some places of the shell look almost black, where the gold shines brightest in flecks upon the shell. It stands between seven and eight feet tall, and as much as six or so feet wide and around. It is quite hot, and at times, beautiful sounds like music can be heard from within. It is also possible to strum the strings to create a pleasant tune, which does not seem to harm the egg whatsoever.

Despite everything going on, dragons kept arriving in ones and twos, sometimes seeking to lay their eggs or even having already laid them where they were, only to bring the eggs here as soon as possible. One such dragon had been entrusted by his mate with their egg, she couldn't stay, but as he was going to be here anyway, the egg had found its way into a feathery, soft neck-pouch sort of arrangment, a draconic version of a shoulder bag, except it hung safely and secured so that it would not be jostled. The stark black Air dragon was well known to most every dragon here- He had personally taught a good number of them, and he could only imagine their surprise as he gathered up soft downy feathers and began to fashion a nest, high up but not too high, before he moved the egg from the pouch and set it on the nest. For an Air egg it was quite big, but the shell was most unusual indeed. It seemed to be made up of soft feathers, and it was so light that Aterrimus almost wondered if there was a dragon inside it at all. But he was willing to trust that his mate hadn't played some trick on him, so he nurtured the egg as best he knew how. The Egg itself reminded him of his own feathers, black but shiny and iridescent, green and blue and hinted purples clear, though some parts of the egg almost seemed tipped in aqua or white. How he wished She could see him here with this nest, he had no doubt she would be proud of him and the nest he'd made. The wind in the complex ruffled his feathers a little, making a few of the extra feathers he'd stuck in the nest out. Thinking little of it, he put them back in, only to have it happen again, making the Air-Sound chuckle softly to himself, “All right, I get the point, too many is too many. Cut me some slack, I haven't made a real nest myself in a long time...” Who was he even talking to?

Air Aterrimus (Mate not present, probably.): 1 Air Egg

At 7 1/2 ft tall and five feet wide, this egg is fairly impressive, but not too unusual for an Air egg. The surface of this egg is truly remarkable. Not only is it soft to the touch, it feels incredibly like that of layered feathers, which seem almost magpie like, being black at a glance but really dark purple, blue and green. Some seem tipped in aqua or white. If one were to peel back one such feather from the shell, they would only see more feathers, but it would be unwise to do that. Sometimes a myriad of chirping can be heard, which is likely the wyrmling.

The sound that echoed through the complex had startled the albino peacock dragon so thourally that she had actually fallen out of the large plush 'bed' she had, and likely as not, knocked her living adorable pillow off accidentally in the process. At some point she had decided to come and stay in the hatching complex with Gus, having brought with her a large soft dragon sized cushion to rest on. Such a pampered dragon she was. Perhaps it was the surprise of hearing the Seraphic struggling and crying out, or else, the realization that the laying was upon them that caused her to realize the ache in her belly hadn't been part of her dream. She flicked her tail feathers, half fanning them for a moment while she got her special nesting things ready, glad she had thought ahead to actually pack things so she didn't have to go looking for all of it when the time came. The severely egg heavy dragon bid an apology to Gus for waking him up and knocking him off the 'bed', before she shuffled a little and hopped up onto the large, practically birdlike nest she'd put together a few days earlier.

She had to count her blessings, because even as all three of her eggs tipped the tall markers for incredibly large eggs, their shells were soft, and laying them took her little time. It was the precious hour after they were laid that was the real trouble, as Xifeng had to create an intense heat, a dry heat without flame to harden the shells and ensure the survival of the eggs. Her feathers were puffed out at maximum, taking in as much heat as she could muster and produce. She had lost eggs in this process in the past, as had most dragons who hadn't any idea what they were dealing with. But when all was said and done and she had chanced to look upon her three beautiful glowing eggs, she grinned a birdy smile and hopped off the nest, heat waves rising off the dry-kindled eggs, whos internal furnaces had kicked in without a hitch...This time. She was tired but unhurt, and flopped next to Gus, nuzzling into his fur, counting herself lucky that she was not so bad off as the Seraph above and across from them. She could only hope her eggs actually made it this year, as they hadn't in the past few attempts.

Xifeng: 3 glowing Fire eggs only two pictured because two are identical

This deep aqua and green-black egg has an almost grainy surface to its scales, of which it does appear to have plated scales along its surface. At twelve feet high and eight wide, it is quite large for what seems to be a fire egg. It has bright glowing sparks along its surface and a long tail about it, which it usually hides. Open flame and water not advised. When laid, this large egg was much softer, but became hard as cement when it dried. It smells a little odd, like the contents of a firework. It has an oddly identical colored 'twin' egg, which it was practically fused to by the tail. In fact, all three of the clutch had their tails nearly fused, and could mean that while they bear separate shells, they may be triplets! This egg and its identical colored twin are usually placed next to one another, with the third very close by. The surface of the eggs have an intense heat despite not being near an open fire.

At an identical height to its siblings at twelve feet high and eight wide, this Fire egg is much like the others in the clutch, being an almost black color with bright highlights, though this one is a bit different from its siblings- Its own highlight is bright blue and dark blues, greens and pinks with a clearly different purple black-light glow which sometimes switches colors. This egg enjoys music though it does not appear to bear any sonic element. Like its twin sibling eggs, it has a grainy sandpaper-like, almost hardened powder surface which can rub off at times, when laid was soft and hardened. It bears a long tail which it keeps hidden. Open fire and water not advised. The surface of the egg has an intense heat despite not being near an open fire.

The Life Titan, Yggdrasil, had indeed heard the heart stopping cries of the Seraphic and had immediately gotten up, only to discover that for the first time in many years, the first to lay and summon the dragons to the grounds was not herself, not that she particularly cared. It wasn't a race after all. It did strike her as odd though, since she had not sensed that the Seraph in question was so near to laying- but once the great Titan had managed to get from her chambers to the grounds, it became clear why- No more time could have gone by, the Seraph likely would not have survived attempting to wait for her own calling. Other healers had gotten to the being faster than she could, and though she wished to lend help, she had duties to attend to, including meeting with time dragons who were bringing her some very precious deliveries.

She reflected, watching Tahl from her current spot. Her own eggs seldom took more than a few minutes once they became ready to lay, so quickly in fact that it was often over before anyone really knew whether the titan was laying or not. And so it was, now, while other dragons appeared to struggle over their eggs, that a pair of large ones had simply shown up. She laid upon the grounds where titans and their mates nested, made out of the way from other dragons, somewhat raised up to have a view of the whole grounds. Between her massive forelimbs, tucked against her feathers, were two very massive eggs. They were a bit bigger than the Seraphics own egg- But didn't loom or have that horrifying watching feeling coming from them. Her two eggs were as different from one another as night and day. One was dark, the other bright, but both heralded multiple halos and glowed with a beautiful lightness.

One egg was hard to determine and might have come across as a Seraphic egg had Yggdrasil not known better- a Fate egg, and the other a Life egg, just like many years ago. The life egg in particular had a wonderful scent, one she remembered. The flower that bloomed under the bud-like egg was none other than one of the flowers found only in the Garden of Eternity, a place in paradise beyond the living mortal plane...Perhaps it could be of use, as it was known to be a curative. Such flowers were often given by Sel to those who needed it most desperately in ancient times,...Perhaps one of the healers, a Seraph maybe, could receive one of the petals to save the first Seraph, it was possible, the Titan thought, if done soon...

Life Titan Yggdrasil X Mysteriously not Illirian's, judging by the halos....
1 Extra Large Fate Egg, 1 Extra Large Life Egg

At fourteen feet tall, and roughly ten feet wide at its base. Including the orbiting halo, the egg spans a total of twenty five feet wide, but the halos do not seem to be physical. Its shell is dark silver and blue, sparkling with visions of another plane of existence. Despite its halos it does not appear to be a Seraphic, but what could it be if not that? The halos almost act like a zodiac or a compass, or strangely enough, something like a spirit-speakers tools used to ask questions about fate. It is safe to touch but the egg has intense responses to those who dare, and may not be for the faint of heart.

This brilliant gold, halo bearing egg is nearly twenty feet tall and about as wide feet wide at its base, not including the halos, which span almost forty feet wide and over forty high. The egg itself has a great flower blooming around it, balancing a brilliant blue crystal-like bud above it. The egg seems to brim with unearthly Life, such is evidenced by the flowers themselves, which give off a scent unknown to mortals, the flowers being those that only bloom in the garden of Eternity beyond the shadlowlands of the Celestial Plane. The scent soothes the weak and bolsters the courageous. It brings inspiration and seems to radiate glory. A single fallen petal of the flowers can cure injuries and is rumored that it steeped as a tea, could even work miracles for diseases. The halos are dual colored, one being white-blue and the other soft white-gold, the flowers being a near white gold and edged in pinks and yellows, the shell itself a pure, uninterrupted brilliant golden color.

Another, strange looking female that stuck to the edges of the grounds, before deciding on a spot to lay her own egg ended up near to a metal-sound dragon and his shattered glass dragon mate. She muttered of doom and gloom and seem a rather disagreeable sort, and indeed, very agitated in general, often looking up to the perch where Talh lay, barely conscious of the world around her. The dragon chittered things about how the world had gone bad and rotten, and Carpathian, who was snuggly resting next to Izanami, could only peer at the dragon with an annoyed expression. Who was this lunatic, anyway? Was she going to be a riddle- speaking crazy lady for the whole time? He hoped not. He tried to ignore her, but within the hour of her laying her egg, she became crazed again, shrieking about her egg and how it was doomed. He didn't want to look, honest he didn't, but, as fate would have it, he did, and had to leap to his feet and push the dragon away from the egg- as she was about to crush it! What was she doing, anyway? She was hollering about infection and how it was all wrong and plagues and Sel have mercy had she just told him he could take the damnned thing if he wanted it so bad? Oh crap now she was leaving...And he was left with an egg he had saved but not gotten a good look at....oh hellfire and Enochiels WRATH what was THAT?!

Within the water egg was no more a water egg than he was the grand Celestial herself. Inside was already something of...well, he didn't know what but it was freaky and he'd apparently adopted it. It looked like something out of a horror movie, only it was real. Something, deep down, told him he should have let her kill it, it wasn't right, and judging by the reactions of the hatching attendands, they weren't too pleased either but were afraid to challenge Carpathian for the egg, though they tried to encourage him that it was an infection and needed to be disposed of. This was Aesula,....he kept thinking it over. Eggs weren't murdered here, right?....Right? He looked plaintivly at Iza, unsure what she'd do. The thing in the egg bore a long sharp needle just like the one that had.....Well...Maybe she hadn't seen it, but he had. What had he gotten himself into now?

Carpathian & Izanami- Adopted 1 Infection Egg

What even is this? What started out as what was likely a large glassy water egg has seemingly been altered in some way. In less than a few hours after being laid, some.. thing has gotten inside the egg, judging by the holes. One medium sized hole on one side appears to almost always have three grasping bitey lookign tongues, which constantly seek nourishment. It may in fact, bite people who do not offer it food before touching it. The other hole is near the top, which seems to be for the purpose of a breathing hole, or perhaps where the Infection got in. This egg has been abandoned by its mother for obvious reasons, though she advised the thing be killed now before it is regretted later. The egg itself is at least nine feet in all directions, and the...It doesn't even look like a dragon, wyrm inside is filling almost every inch of space, and is curled up. It has a prominant needle of a tail, a horrible bitey looking mouth and massive blue eyes that constantly watch people as they move around. Its scales seem to be white or gold, though for the moment it appears to be more squishy than plated scale. The egg has been adopted by perhaps all too caring parent dragons. The hatching attendants are fearful of it and think it should be killed. Whatever it is, it isn't something they have seen in a long time.

OOC: The Laying thread is now open! I still have more eggs to post but the forum only allows me 10 images per post (pooooo.) so I have to split this post, which was growing long anyway! I will be sending out PM's to you all immediately following this post so if you have a female who had eggs please be sure to check your Pms! It could take about thirty or so minutes for me to get them out, but I'll go as fast as I can! Happy Laying!

The order of events is this: Talh awakens in agony, leaves and crashes in the hatching complex, too weak to take flight again, she struggles like a mountain climber up what otherwise would be a few steps to her. She struggles for an hour and finally lays her single blood coated egg, uttering an agonized scream-sound that shook the caverns and awoke in most every dragon who is gravid to come to the grounds, not before. At this point she (Talh) Passed out. It is this last echoing cry that awakens the other dragons to come and lay their eggs.

- other dragons arrive, and some try to help but other females need to lay their eggs first, meaning time is limited for Talh before she potentially bleeds to death

edit: All PM's sent out!

edit 2: Since it may not be clear enough or I may not have been detailed enough, each of the higher platforms that ring the hatching complex, which are mostly for Airs and other elements are one nest per platform. A few are large enough for the larger breeds but are still one per nesting pair. With hundreds of perches lining the massive grounds, there are many places to choose from within each biome. Talh has chosen the largest platform because she and her mate are A. Massive and B. are the highest up where the egg should be and C. Far away from other dragons because Cauldron will be there and Talh wants privacy from others. to recap: lots and lot of platforms, plenty for everyone who needs a high up one, but one nest per platform.

Blood Distress - 1 Large Space Egg
The Laying

The pangs and ripples of muscle contractions snaked their way through Distress's body, taking her by bloody surprise, quite literally. With each wave, the blood snaking down her body gushed in larger spurts and waves, signalling her distress. At least she was easy to read, when it came to Horizon attempting to comfort her. When she was in pain, it was obvious. Distress was distressed, and her swollen egg-belly would most definitely be the cause. An affectionate nuzzle to her mate was as much as she could manage before she clenched her fangs. "It is time, dear." Wings unfurling practically on their own, Distress stopped what she was doing and took to the skies.

Thankfully, her egg was large, but nothing like the burden Talherahiel had to bear. For her first egg, the Celestials had been kind in that regard. However, at the thought of the Seraphic and her slow shuffles, uncomfortable groans and probably painful egg, Distress hoped that she'd quickly finish her laying without seeing the carnage that would be present for the poor Seraphic. Distress had never met the dragon, but she wouldn't wish it upon anyone. Had she not flown this season, she probably would have thought nothing of it. But her motherly instincts had kicked in, and seemed to do so whenever she saw another dragon carrying.

She already knew where she wanted to lay. High above the ground, close to the sky. She remembered seeing somewhat of a cliff with steps. Further along the plateau there was a shady, dark spot that seemed to touch the sky. The multiple platforms above made for quite a few laying spots. That was where she wanted. However, she was unaware that the Seraphic had already laid, and the fresh scent of blood filled Distress's nostrils as soon as she entered the facility. It wasn't pungent, but being a Blood dragon did have it's disadvantages. As she soared past the cliff, another ripple of pain contracted through her belly, but she landed just fine quite a few platforms away from the large, looming egg Distress could only assume came from Talherahiel. Upon closer inspection, once Distress bit back the sense of judgement from the egg, she noticed the blood trickling from the Seraphic's mouth, as well as pooling behind her.

People swarmed around her, and yet, not much was being done. Feeling a pang of regret, Distress turned to look behind her at the spot she wished to lay. It was time for her, but she might be able to assist briefly. Unfurling her wings once more, she took to the air and glided over to the side of the Seraphic. Distress pressed her muzzle to the neck of the unconscious dragon, watching as the blood that trickled out from her mouth slowly began to shirk and recede back into the mouth of it's maker. "I'm... so sorry... I cannot do much, but I can do this. I have tried to stop the bleeding to the best of my ability until-" Another pang of contraction stopped her midsentence. "- someone else can help. Please, excuse me." Distress turned and glided her way to the shady alcove, immediately feeling the process begin.

It was an involved process, but it did not take too long. The immediate pressure and pain was almost like a release as the egg passed and what felt like a huge weight was lifted from the Blood dragon. The egg was large, but the nervousness of her first egg seemed to disappate, and Distress wasn't sure which she was happier for. As she craned her neck to see the egg, it slowly rose into the air, her blood dripping from it with little splats upon the floor. Once cleaned, the colors were brilliant. It almost felt as though she were looking into Horizon's soul, and a few tears fell from her eyes. This was her creation. She and Horizon's egg. They had been meant for eachother from the start, and this was the fruits of her labor. The golden center shone magnificently, and the rings around it orbited the center. "It's... our little mini galaxy." Distress smiled, pressing her nose against the egg affectionately.

A little wisp of light flickered past her nose, causing her to draw back with surprise. The long tail of the 'comet' swirled around the egg, bright and lively. "And where did you come from?" Distress's eyes shone with amusement as she watched the comet dance around the egg in orbit. "You're quite the lively one." The comet must have come from the egg itself once it had been laid. Not that Distress minded. Picking herself up weakly, Distress circled the egg before positioning her body in a half-arc around her egg. The small pool of blood she'd left would have been an easy thing to clean up for the dragon, but at this moment, she was a bit too weak to deal with it for now. Horizon had seen worse, for sure. "Welcome to the world." Although it seemed to annoy the comet, Distress pressed her nose to the egg once more while the tendrils merely averted her nose and touch.

Blood Distress: 1 Space Egg

Posted Image

This large Space egg is round, spherical, and floats as Space eggs often do. It is at least twelve to thirteen feet around all sides, and has an interesting pattern inside. Most often it portrays somewhere in the universe where a sun seems to have strange rings made up of...something. The outer rings of the sphereical Egg inside the shell seem to be a nebulae of color, greens and purples, reds and deep blues, a core of brilliant gold, sparkling stars and streaks of shine that make the whole thing seem almost eerilly like an eye. Surrounding and constantly orbiting in circular rings is what appears to be a long, white-blue comet, its tail swirling about the egg at all times as it moves constantly. This egg can be touched safely with the hands, but the comet will avoid attempts to touch it and seems so cold it burns, though its tendrils seem to avoid touch as well. The comet itself seems to have come out of the eggs shell after it was laid. Its orbit seems to vary at times from very close to even sometimes a bit further out but always swings back again.

Rock on Gold Dust Woman

Water Nemireth

Sleep could not stave off the pangs of motherhood as the young water's dreams roiled and spilled into abrupt wakefulness. There was no time to delay, though the thought of waking her rider was for the moment distasteful and ultimately unnecessary. She would leave as silently as possible to avoid answering any questions about her sudden departure. Should a reason need be given, one would not be hard to find for as Nemireth craned her neck from their abode, she could see that she was not the only gravid female taking her leave for the hatching grounds. With a forceful heave and the strong down-stroke of of her thin, long wings, the water took heavily to the sky. Her need to be presentable could wait, she had more important matters to attend.

The overbearing presence of the massive seraphic egg perched high about the hatching sounds caused a shuddered to ripple down Nemireth's finned mane. Whatever entity resided within, the judgmental nature of its watch made her uncomfortable as she alighted upon the sands. No matter. her preferred nesting sight was out of its reach as she scoured the grounds for an appropriate place to lay, all the while the sharp pangs of contraction urged her forward. She would need water, bare minimum, though from the feel of things within, there would be at least two eggs to satisfy. She found what seemed to be the appropriate spot, out of the direct gaze of the massive seraphic egg, with a rocky outcropping and a shallow pool. It would have to do, for all of her searching would need to cease as the contractions worsened.

It did not take terribly long, but the process was rather involved. The massive earth egg settled more heavily than even Nemireth thought possible as it glittered and glistened beneath the gore of unavoidable mess of birth. The second egg however, came much more easily and, upon seeing the much smaller sibling the water dragon raised her fins in minor distress. Flat and elongated, for a moment Nimereth worried that it had been crushed, the long rods on either side curiously limp. It was not until the dark shadow within wiggled slightly that she realized she'd been holding her breath as she nosed egg into the pool. The rods curled neatly around a mass of watery plants. It seemed a small boon that the shallows were salty as she nosed both eggs for the mermaid's purse.

Water Nemireth: 1 Water Egg and 1 Earth Egg

At ten feet wide and eleven feet tall this Earth Egg is massive. It is a deep bronze color flecked with green and dark antique gold. It is rough to the touch and bumpy. It is quite large for an Earth Egg and though its appearance isn't as flashy as some other eggs, it is still impressive. Its weight is immense, more than would have been thought possible. It is stonelike and unmoving, and seems to be constantly challenging those who wish to touch it, demanding strength and courage to be shown to it, somehow. It is likely it senses these traits in those who touch it.
Posted Image

This water egg is of the mermaid's purse type, and lays flat rather than upright. It is at least five feet long and at most four wide, not counting the long rods at both ends of the egg. It is an olive green and black with a shiny aqua color to it, a dark shadow inside is likely the wyrmling. It is quite shiny and almost sparkles in the water. It needs salt water to survive, judging by the scent.

Shockingly Shocking

Ciosa
2 Large Glowing Fire Eggs, 1 Large Fire Egg, 1 Large Technology Egg.

Ciosa was always diligent when it came to certain matters, especially when it had to do with the future of another creatures life. She taken to the sands several times in the past, and she had always been very early. Finding a good spot to nest, and making sure everything was ready well in advance for whatever eggs she might have. As it was, it was probably a good thing as she could hardly walk let alone fly with the mass of eggs that had developed within her. Being very healthy, and fertile had suddenly seemed to switch over to being a curse this season... Each day she seemed to grow more swollen and uncomfortable, eventually it got to absolutely ridiculous levels as the day approached. It got to the point where she could hardly move, and she spent most of the time sleeping or occasionally chewing in an aggravated manner on whatever part of Terminus was near to her. Not that it really hurt him, but it made her feel better. Occasionally he'd carry her out of the nest to go do whatever was needed, and bring her back but she was NOT a happy camper.

...Her eyes opened lazily as she watched the feverish Seraph enter, and begin to scramble up the stairs towards the nest. For a moment the fire started to get up, to go and help, but she wasn't in the best shape to do so and instead ended up lying back down and mashing on a couple of buttons that called Terminus. On more than one occasion Ciosa informed him of her displeasure at the current living conditions with bouts of fire, which prompted him to install a button to call for him so at least the anger or frustration would have less time to build up. It wasn't to say she was /always/ in such a mood, but after she was rendered mostly invalid there had definitely been a tendency for more snapping.

Unfortunately, she didn't have much time to wait for Terminus to arrive at her side before things were under way, her body was trembling as it desperately tried to handle the massive objects within. Not all of them were so firm and hard as she expected, but there was at least one that she already knew to be a tech. It was hard, heavy, and occasionally clicked or beeped within her. The others she had viewed through ultrasound or such, but their elements were not so easy to pinpoint at this time... She hoped none of them were particularly caustic upon laying.

It seemed some mercy had been taken upon the poor fire though, as the first egg seemed oddly soft and malleable, her body shuddered and trembled as the strong contractions began to work it out of her body. She curled up slightly to give herself some more privacy, wings drooping as she whimpered out softly. The egg emerged oddly, it felt completely soft, almost like it had failed to fully form its shell... But within moments it suddenly grew warm, and then hot, and the shell hardened about it. She had never seen an egg do that before, which was slightly worrying but for different reasons.

This large egg stands at eleven feet tall, nine wide at its base. It appears to be a fire egg, though it is dark pink and has a rough surface to its shell, which seems scaled and tapered with plated areas of its shell, a long tail like strand unwinds from its width, though this tail seems to keep itself covered under substances of the nest site. It seems as if keeping it near fire would be a bad idea, despite its element. It needs a dry heat and should not be made to get wet, either. It has a dark purple streaks with hot pink glowing points all along its surface, which do not always glow, but most often when attention is spent on it. This egg was softer when it was laid, and likely hardened when it dried after being laid. The surface of the egg has an intense heat despite not being near an open fire.
Posted Image

The next egg that came soon after was much of the same, though it was a vivid orange rather than the blue of the other. Were they twins? Or merely similar elements? She couldn't tell, but was thankful for the gentle manner in which they were formed...

This egg also seems to be a Fire egg, and like the other similarly shaped egg, it is eleven feet tall and nine wide. It is nearly completely black, but when illuminated seems to be a very dark bronze color. It has a golden orange glow to it, and a long tail as well. Like the other egg, it seems to shirk away from open fire or getting wet. The surface of its shell is almost grainy like sand paper. When it was laid it was softer and not as hard to pass. The surface of the egg has an intense heat despite not being near an open fire.
Posted Image

She knew for certain that the next two would not be so kind to her, and wouldn't have to wait so long to find out how much so. She winced and cried out as the next began to move within her, it was smaller than the other two but much harder. Somewhat feebly she groped around for Terminus' hand, nearly crushing it as she managed to catch it, a small mixture of her moving closer to him, and pulling him closer so she could lean in against the metal creature as the next eggs were laid.

This large Fire egg stands at eight feet high and seven wide, and is bright to its core, which glows a deep golden orange. The outer shell itself is purple and blue, and very smooth to the touch. The bright glow inside actually illuminates the wyrmling within, seen only as a large shadow. Despite the space taken up by the dragon inside, the glow does not diminish, perhaps coming from the dragon itself. The shell itself is iridescent, shimmering between colors, and probably fascinating to look at from different angles.
Posted Image

It wasn't the most difficult egg she had ever produced, but it was far from easy... Still, she knew that it was just the tip of the ice berg of pain so far as these went, and sure enough that last egg was by far the most painful thing she had experienced in most of her life. It's unyielding metal, and thickness compared to her body was staggering. She could definitely feel some things tearing, and other unpleasantness as it escaped her, and slid to the ground. Her gaze fell upon it with some amount of marveling as the little things began to float up off of it, for a moment she worried it might have some relation to the gigantic seraph egg that had appeared upon the ledge, but soon muttered 'solar panels' and collapsed against Terminus.

This very large Technology Egg stands between twelve and thirteen feet high, being almost ten feet wide, not including the large floating solar panels which peeled off of the outer shell and began to float within minutes of being laid. The shell itself is covered in a shiny copper, red and gold circuitry. It has a constant glow, particularly around the floating blades and the center of the egg itself.
Posted Image

"N...Next time you're... Carrying the eggs..." She half threatened, though mostly joked. The scent of blood in the hatching areas was growing stronger, it was not uncommon for small wounds, and Ciosa had been spared anything life threatening but was still torn up in places best not mentioned.

Zeliniel Chroniacresht

The Seraphic/Time was instantly awake as soon as her Seraphic sister woke and started moving towards the sands. As protective of her as she was she allowed her mate to escort and stabilize her when she needed it. Zeliniel merely flew slightly ahead to make sure the way was clear and they would not run into any other egg laden females making their way to the sands ever since the first mortal Seraphic's cry echoed throughout the complex. As they entered into the hatching complex itself she paused, not just to allow Irasotiel to lead so she could find the place she wished to lay her eggs, but the sight of the massive egg that towered above them all. As soon as her eyes fell upon the magnificent egg she was overwhelmed to a standstill. The emotions coursing through her veins where intense and unexplained, the egg was undoubtedly a Seraphic but that was not what worried her, Seraphic Dragons had come to the mortal plane to help a broken world such as herself and Irasotiel. But this, the power and respect flowing from the egg, even from the other side of the hatching complex was on an entirely different level. She could sense that whatever hatched from this egg would command the respect of even the Titans and she felt, dread. They had been sent to heal this world and they were not enough. Paradisia had looked down and judged them insufficient, even the son of the Celestial himself was not deemed enough for this world. This realization made her blood run cold, colder than any ice could ever make her feel. She could only hope this egg would be enough because if it wasn't, whatever was to follow... This egg was the last hope for this world.

Irasotiel's movements next to her snapped the Time/Seraph out of her revelation though it's effects would not leave her for quite some time. It was now that she noticed the first of their kind, Talherahiel, laying next to the egg and Zeliniel could instantly tell that all had not gone well in the laying of this egg. Irasotiel had already gone to aid her mother but her own bodies needs to lay were already to great. Zeliniel nuzzled her sister seraph gently, encouraging her to focus on herself and her eggs, casting a glace at Cernunnos to make sure she did so, though she knew he would already. She could perhaps buy enough time until the healer seraph had laid her eggs and could assist the first mortal seraph in ways Zeliniel was not strong enough to do. Her strength was not in healing but as flew nearer the tall platform she suddenly wished she could. Talherahiel was much worse than she had been able to sense so far away, perhaps Irasotiel could tell, perhaps not, all Zeliniel could do now was make sure there was a life left to save when Irasotiel was done laying.

Zeliniel gently landed next to the enormous Seraph and felt a judgmental aura so strong it almost stifled all her other senses and did not relent, she shook her head, averting her gaze from the egg and focusing on its mother instead. She lay on her stomach, lowering her head to the ground near the other Seraph and took a deep breath. Waterfalls of glowing white-blue blood pouring down the pillar onto the ground below suddenly seemed to look sluggish and thick, before slowing down to the point blood drop spattering into the air seemed almost frozen completely, their movement hard to notice unless looked upon carefully and for quite a few seconds. Both dragons seemed completely immobile, one by time, one by concentration. Zeliniel would not resume the normal flow of time until a healer capable of bringing her back from the brink arrived and although Talherahiel's reality was slowed to a near complete stop anyone around her moved in normal time.

Irasotiel; tag Cernunnos, Zeliniel, Talherahiel

The cry woke her from an already fitful sleep, and Irasotiel was on her feet before she was fully conscious of her intent to move. She took two steps toward the door of the chambers that she and her companions were sharing and then abruptly stopped as a contraction washed over her, stealing her breath away.

It was time.

It was time, but someone--Talherahiel, she knew that voice, knew that pain-wracked soul--needed help. As always it was not her own well being that Irasotiel put first as she hurried toward the hatching grounds, which were already beginning to fill with females drawn by the urge to lay their eggs. Irasotiel paused briefly to look around, seeking the other Seraph's nesting place in order to go to her aid, but a second contraction took her again, this one more powerful than the last. The eggs were coming now and perhaps if she held back she might be able to tend to Talherahiel first, but at what cost? No doubt such an action would cause her own self harm, but that was not what concerned her. She was not afraid of pain and injury, but the eggs... her eggs, her children, had more to fear from that path than she did. Perhaps she might simply sustain injury, but for them it was the difference between life or death.

She was torn, for the first time uncertain of what to do. Her eggs were coming, but Talherahiel needed help, and she did not have the time to accomplish both at once... but Zeliniel did. Her sister gave her an encouraging, comforting nuzzle before flying up to the platform where the injured Seraph lay, and Irasotiel did not need to watch further to know that Zeliniel was quite literally buying her time to do what needed to be done. With Cernunnos not far behind her she hurried over to the place she had chosen as her nesting site.

Unsurprisingly it was within the jungle-like area of a forest biome that Irasotiel stopped, surrounded by tall trees with a crystaline clear pool of water nearby. It was to this pool that she went first, gently touching the souls of her eggs to see who was coming first so that she might lay accordingly to their needs. She waded in until the water was deep enough for the egg she bore, closing her eyes and humming a soft, multi-toned song not only for the impending laying but to help keep her focused on her task and not on Talherahiel's plight. Lowering her hindquarters, there was but a faint moment of strain before her first egg gently rolled out into the pool she had chosen for it.

This deep, dark orb of an egg, nine feet across its shell in all directions around, seems to be an odd mix of water and a dark substance that constantly moves under the surface. It is extremely glassy and shiny to the touch but delicate, and could be harmed if too much pressure is applied. The egg seems to be a Water egg but could also be an Ink egg. The dragon inside should be visible but all anyone can see are tendrils of blackness.
Posted Image

She turned to check on the inky dark Water egg, reassuring herself that the water was deep enough and it had come to no harm before wading carefully out of the pool again. Irasotiel did not have to wait long before another contraction swept over her, leaving her breathless again, and this one... this egg was going to need assistance, but thankfully her mate was more than able. She chose another spot further from the water so as not to pose a problem for her first egg, beneath the thick, shielding branches of a tree in order to protect it from the sunlight. It was a bit larger than the last, and thus caused her a bit more strain, more effort as her song grew in volume.

This absolutely frigid egg is about nine feet from base to top and five wide, it seems to be an Ice Egg despite its size and the fact that it is covered in what appear to be flowers, so delicate their petals threaten to melt at the slightest touch. The egg itself is a swirling vortex of blues, aquas, teal and white, streaks of shadowy dark blue coating the surface where vines take root. Interestingly enough the egg has a constant supply of fresh snow, which softly falls at all times, slowly or quickly. It never entirely melts away as it just keeps on going. The warmer it is in the hatching complex, the more snow it makes to compensate. Its plants seem to thrive in the arctic cold, and should not be exposed to sun lamps at all. The egg is safe to touch but is extremely cold and could stick fingers to the shell if not careful. The flowers are too delicate to touch and seem to melt when they fall off and regrow again.
Posted Image

It was fascinating to see the icy flowers slowly grow and wend their way around the egg's already frigid shell, snow beginning to dot the ground around it. Cernunnos would need to help keep it cold until the hatching, but she had no doubt that he was up to the task.

This last egg, the one that had caused the most discomfort because of its sheer size, was not yet ready to emerge. Irasotiel paced slowly, eyes half shut as she deliberately did not think about Talherahiel's plight. Even with Zeliniel's aid there was a slowly shrinking window of opportunity for her to help her mortal mother, but this was beyond her control. She could not do both at once, and with her other two eggs already laid there was not going to be much of a delay before this one joined its siblings. All she was able to do was wait, and pace, and ever so softly sing to herself.

And then another abrupt contraction hit her and it was time. Irasotiel froze in place, a look of concentration etched upon her features, her song growing louder. The aura of light around her seemed to grow wider, brighter as she lowered herself to the ground for a third and final time, her voice peaking on a single high, multi-toned note as her last egg carefully touched the ground.

This glorious Nature egg is a wonder to behold, deep aqua like a cool, undisturbed lake, glimmering with shine and rippling once in a while. Covering its shell are a myraid of vines and flowers which grow about it. Upon being laid, the egg seemed to decide it wanted a specific nest, and grew what looks like a shining lilly pad underneath it, complete with a large flower to cradle it, as well as a pond of water below. Seeing as it shaped the area it was in, it is safe to assume it has likely inherited its fathers element, though it does bear a gleaming halo. It stands at thirteen feet tall and nine wide- not counting the lilly pad or halo of course. It is safe to touch and its massive lilly pad will support the weight of candidates, even centaurs who are brave enough to try.
Posted Image

It was beautiful, and she wanted to stay, wanted to curl up with Cernunnos and rest and bask in the joy of being a mother. There was no time for it, little enough for her to look to her mate and leave him watching over their eggs as her sore and weary body took to the air, hastening to the platform where Zeliniel and Talherahiel rested. The egg was... foreboding, and left her with a feeling of intense unease because it was not a good sign for the world if this particular being was being brought to the mortal plane. She averted her eyes from it and instead focused on Talherahiel, eyes glowing brighter as she immediately found and began to carefully mend the agonizing internal injuries.

"Rest easy, First of Us, for we are here with you," she murmured softly between the words of her song, spoken in a tongue that perhaps only the three Seraphs and the egg were able to understand. The damage was extensive, and even as she knit the torn flesh and slowed the bleeding, Irasotiel could not help but wonder if Talherahiel's mortal body would ever bear children again. She would do her best to make it so, of course, but the egg had not been kind to its mother.

Crystal Titan Araselnasaa Treyu and Empress Synivox Drogheda

The Crystal Titan had been sleeping peacefully when the Seraphics call rang out. Araselnasaa had had a comparatively uneventful past few months with her eggs compared to many of the females and having seen Talherahiel was not surprised she was the first to begin laying. She had heard it was usually Yggdrasil who began the laying but the Seraphs call was strong enough to bring the rest of them to laying. The great crystal began stirring, feeling the urges to lay grow within her. She nuzzled Synivox who, hadn’t really been sleeping. She hadn’t really slept in a long time as the laying drew closer and closer. It was said a dragons first laying was a stressful event for both Dragon and Rider, apparently being a Titan only amplified that worry.

It is time? She asked nervously, her palm resting on the tip of her dragons snout.

It seems so. Seraphic Talherahiel has already laid her egg and I sense great power from the hatchery from its presence.

Already? Then you. We have to go! She scrambled out of bed not even disturbing the dark figure that was deeply sleeping next to her. She glanced at him briefly while she tied her hair into a messy bun. Poor Erais, he was so exhausted from her trouble sleeping the past week as well. But for, different reasons. She thought of something and clambered for a pen and paper writing down a word and tossing it on the empty pillow next to him.

You could have written more than just Laying on it. Im not going to burst in 5 seconds. Though possibly 6.

The joke went over her riders head as Synivox climbed onto her neck, Well then lets go! Do you even know where you want to lay them? What if they are completely different elements. What if they dont coexist next to each other? Are you having more than one? Whatever other questions that poured out of her mouth were lost to the wind as the Crystal Titan took to the air to the hatching complex.

The power that flooded the hatchery was overwhelming as they entered, an enormous egg looming over them all it’s presence unmistakable, almost, judgmental. The second thing they noticed was the almost frozen, barely moving waterfall of glowing blood pouring from the tall pillar. Synivox clutched Ara’s scales in front of her in worry. She was a Titan yes but, what if something like that happened to her? Why was Yggdrasil not helping? She could see that a Time/Seraph had slowed time for the bleed Seraph but no one was there to help, perhaps the only one that could was laying her own eggs. The whole situation did nothing to calm her nerves, really only making them worse. She turned her attention away from it as best she could, looking toward the Crystal section of the hatchery where Ara landed as gently as she could. Being so massive the eggs inside her did little to hinder her movements and affect her physically but she didn’t want to disrupt other females laying with a careless landing.

I think this place will do. It reminds me of the images you showed me from the other hatching ground. The one you went to before She called you forth. It feels safe and familiar. She lowered Synivox to the ground before beginning to pace around the crystal area. Drops of slowly falling blood descended from the pillar overlooking the crystal section of the hatchery though most of the falling blood was slightly away from her. She tried not to focus on the Seraph knowing what healing abilities she had would not be enough, the Seraph/Time could keep her alive long enough for someone who could do so to arrive.

Synivox stood to one side, clutching a mug of hot tea. When did she even get this tea? Did a hatching assistant hand it to her? It even had the Etharian crest on it. Whoever gave it to her was a saint and she sipped it looking completely frazzled. Her messy bun had been made more so by the short flight to the complex, wisps hung around her face and the bun itself looked like it could fall apart any second yet somehow stayed together. Her eyes looked strained as she watched the Crystal Titan pace, you could see all the worries flash across her face as they came to mind. She was still in her pajamas, purple silk outlined in gold ribbons, the color of her country, the robe that went with it was embroidered with the royal crest but it had been left back in her room, hanging on a door somewhere. So instead the Empress of Myrinthia stood barefoot in a short silk chemise (not blatantly see through fortunately for her, though the neckline is, nonexistent) clutching her tea and looking like Araselnasaa would explode in front of her any second.

Fortunately for her there would be no exploding crystal dragons in front of her as Ara began to lay her eggs. There would be no trouble (there really wasn’t any worry to begin with beyond them) and the first egg came easily out, resting on the ground and glistening in the light. As it dried it became apparent that there were small cracks along its surface, some growing larger until a giant crack shattered its surface. Tea mug went flying as Synivox quickly went closer to the egg, looking at it worriedly while Ara laid her second egg.

Ara. Ara, its cracked. Oh my gosh what do we do? Duck tape it? Its made of rock it shouldnt hurt it right? She nervously twirled a strand of white hair that hung from her bun on a finger while she stared at the egg, biting the edge of her lip nervously and not wanting to touch the egg lest she cause it more harm.

Look closer Synivox, it is fine, I am sure there is no need for duct tape. She nose the second egg gently and gestured for Synivox to look at it. See, this one is doing the same.

Synivox took a moment to gain a few deep breaths then looked at the eggs more clearly. As she looked closer she could indeed notice that under the cracked surface was another one, a brilliant purple and pink gem encrusted surface gleamed in the light. Abruptly crystals began growing from the top of it, pillaring their way into the air, catching and scattering colored light around it.

At the time of laying this egg started out quite unremarkable, dark gray, black and slate blue, some areas having a mild shine but nothing spectacular. Only moments after it is laid, its surface, which was already cracked, cracked further to reveal a second eggshell within. This second shell is the true shell of the egg, and it is beautiful to behold, like amethyst, deep purples, blues and pinks. Within half an hour of being laid, the rapid growth of crystal spires took hold of the shell, making it quite impressive indeed. For a Crystal egg, it is strangely huge, matching the size of an Earth egg. Not counting the tall crystals on its surface, it stands at an impressive 12 feet tall, and no less than seven wide. The crystals hold a beautiful prysm of color, shifting from green to blue to purple, even golds and reds exist within. The egg is much like a geode, beauty hidden within a rocky shell.
Posted Image

She looked to the second egg and see that it had been cracked, little bits of rock hard egg shell littered the ground where it had widened and revealed a smooth, striped stone, blue and white and so polished she could almost see her reflection in it.

This eggs surface is cracked and pitted, lusterless and without shine. Stony like a rock, but quite hard and rough to the touch. A massive crack in the shell was visible when laid, but soon after, the crack split a large area of the egg to reveal a polished second shell within, much like the sibling egg. This one is much smaller, but still bigger than the average Crystal egg, for indeed it is a Crystal. At five feet high and four wide and around, it is among the smaller, but still large eggs. Having a Titan parent is likely the cause for its size. The great crack goes from just above the base to just below the tip of its top. Within is a glorious example of what looks like sliced agate, polished and smooth, rings of white and blue ribbon about the center. Sometimes pieces of the outer, rocky shell fall away, but it is not harmful to the egg, as it is much like a geode.

Reid
Getting beaned in the head, then to Empress Synivox an Titan Araselnasaa

Reid was awakened from his sleep by sharp raps on his door. It’s time, the thought struck him blearily out of the blue, and he stumbled from his bed, calling for the light to illuminate his room in a dim glow. He’d taken the liberty of packing a few articles of clothing with him when he’d come to stay in the Aesullan compound for his seasonal job, but he’d been provided with more that better suited the duties of a part-time security assistant and hatching compound assistant. He was far from the level of professional like many of those who were staffing here full time, but he knew that when dragons came from all corners of the world, many more hands were needed, experienced or not. Pulling on his boots, he quickly left his room, heading to the hatching grounds.

It was important that he be there to assist riders that were helping their dragons through the laying process, or those females who needed more supplies or true assistance from healers. He had already seen what had happened with the Seraphic who had lain the massive egg aloft on one of the platforms, but her wounds were beyond what human healers could fix, and her own kind were seeing to her more quickly than others could be called, though healers were on standby regardless. In the mean time, things seemed to proceed much more smoothly for most others, though there was a few incidents here and there, including the arrival of a female proclaiming her egg as doomed, and passing it off to one of the males and his mate.

Reid could only stare at it from afar, perplexed and grimacing as he beheld what he could only call a….creature. He wasn’t even sure if it was a dragon that was dwelling within the shell. It was some terrifying blue eyed beast with protruding jaws like barbed tongues. The young elf could already foresee what was likely going to be numerous injuries at the hands of this creature come time of the touching. He could only hope that whatever it was didn’t like the taste of fingers. He’d be sure to avoid it himself if he could help it. He’d already lost one arm due to the interference of dragons, he didn’t want to lose the other. Absently clenching and unclenching the mechanical joint with a gentle whir of servos and gears, he contemplated the anomaly with pursed lips before his eyes traveled upwards to the highest platform to regard the cluster of Seraphics and the looming egg.

Like some sort of heralding archangel, it was a judgmental presence by it’s sheer looming size alone. He could already tell from hushed reverence and wariness of others around it that this egg was not something to mess around with. The Seraphs that emerged from the shells were ancient beings beyond most people’s comprehension. He could only guess at what being was undertaking manifestation within the shell at this point. He could only hope that it was…benevolent.

He wasn’t given much time to dwell on the Seraphic egg or Talherahiel’s current state when the Crystal Titan and Empress of Etharius arrived. A quick motion from one of the other attendants gesturing him towards her told him that he would need to see to her while they were busy. Perched atop the great Titan, her hair messy and looking rather distressed, Reid made quick steps towards the kitchens and returned with a warm mug of tea that other had already been passing out to others riders, most with the sigils and insignias of their chosen alliances upon the cups, a small concession for the sake of comfort. The tea was passed off without much fuss, and Reid retreated to a station nearby, on hand if the Empress would need further assistance before one of the permanent staff was no longer tied up and could see to it themselves.

He was expecting thing to go calmly, not to be knocked over the head with something. “Ah, hey!” he yelped, rubbing his head, and looking to see what had hit him. Spying the object in the sand, he saw that it was the tea cup he had given the Empress moments ago, picking it up and looking in her direction in puzzlement, he saw that the Empress was panicked over something pertaining to her dragon. His heart stuttered however, when he heard the Empress’ exclamation that her dragon’s eggs were cracked. “Cracked?” he asked, rushing over, wanting to see the extent of the damage and how he could best assist. A hand went to the comm. link he had clipped to his ear, ready to call for the supplies necessary, she’d said duct tape, hadn’t she? “Empress Synivox, Titan Araselnasaa, do you require assistance or any items?” he didn’t dare approach further than a respectful distance. Araselnasaa may have been a Titan and a leader of the city, but she was also a first time mother, and he knew the rules, and he had seen the training videos. It didn’t bode well to go rushing towards a mother and a fresh nest without her permission.

Tytus and Ahtian

She was loathe to wake him in spite of the urge building up inside of her. This was one of the first decent night's worth of sleep Tytus had had since that man found them on the hatching grounds. Somehow, Talheriahiel's pained cry hadn't roused him, though Ahtian was not so oblivious, but now...

Ahtian shifted her weight from foot to foot. Tytus slept on and she supposed she could leave him to slumber while she went to lay but she really wanted him beside her and he was going to be angry if she didn't wake him. Would be unhappy when he woke up to find her standing over his bed indecisively instead of having roused him as soon as she knew it was time to lay. He would want to be there, she knew, but he was so tired and was finally sleeping a sleep not plagued by old, vague horrors that he did not want to discuss.

"Tytus? Tytus, can you hear me?" she asked quietly at first, as if still a little reluctant to wake him. The pangs were getting stronger now and it wasn't going to be much longer before she had to take to the sands whether he was with her or not, so Ahtian leaned in to nuzzle him gently. "Tytus, you need to wake up."

He murmured in his sleep before rolling until he was halfway draped over Ahtian's muzzle, his arms wound loosely around her upper jaw. She could not help but laugh softly at that, overwhelmed by a sudden rush of affection for her rider. How she loved this little man with all of his flaws and secrets kept tightly locked away, as if she might leave him if he showed them to her. That was something she hoped to work on in time, but at the moment she had more pressing matters.

"Tytus..." she sang quietly, blowing a gentle, warm breath to ruffle the sheets that clung to him. Finally he started to rouse, eyes blinking slowly open to give her a sleepy stare. "It is time, heart. I must go to the sands."

For a moment it seemed that he did not comprehend what she said, and then suddenly Tytus jerked back with a wide eyed exclamation and tried to extricate himself from the sheets so quickly that he became entangled and nearly fell. "Now? Already?!" he exclaimed as he squirmed his way free and finally scrambled to his feet. Tytus darted hastily for the door before realizing that attending the laying in his underwear was probably not a good idea; he quickly snatched up some pants and flung on a robe before clambering far more carefully up to perch on Ahtian's neck.

She wasted no time in exiting their shared quarters and striding out onto the grounds, making a beeline for the spot she'd chosen as her own. It was right at the edge of the crystal biome and where what appeared to be a flower garden met; the blending of the two biomes was beautiful to behold, for the plants and flowers themselves turned to crystal where they overlapped. Ahtian paused briefly so that Tytus was able to dismount before turning her attention to the pangs of labor now rolling through her.

The egg she carried was not overly large, nor was Ahtian a particularly small dragon, but that did not make birthing it comfortable. Perhaps if it had been a slightly different shape, or had an actual taper at either end, but alas it was not and did not. It felt... strange, not like an egg at all, and while she felt no pain as she ever so carefully hunched down and let her body work, Ahtian could not say it was exactly a pleasant experience.

This Sonic egg is about six feet across and a couple feet thick. As a disk-shaped egg it lays flat on its side rather than propped upward like other dragon eggs do. Its outer rim is a bright golden ring around a dark blue center with light blue and white spirals. Sometimes the egg spins of its own volition, but doesn't appear to go anywhere. electric Sparks sometimes cascade across its surface.
Posted Image

She turned around to look at it curiously once it was free of her, and such a tiny thing it seemed to be! Certainly not one of the elements she was expecting, either, if the shape was anything to go by. The colors were certainly fitting, however, so perhaps there was more to the egg than met the eye.

It's so tiny, she mused to her rider as Tytus came to stand beside her, both of them watching as some hatching assistants carefully constructed a nest for the newly laid Sonic egg. Perhaps it was because Paradisio was so--oh. Oh!

With an alarmed trumpet Ahtian abruptly hunched her hindquarters as another, completely unexpected contraction took her. Was this supposed to happen? Was it simply a false pang in the wake of her egg laying? It didn't feel like she was carrying another, but when the contraction passed and Ahtian turned, she was met with a dainty little surprise.

This Crystal egg is quite small, almost unbelievably small for its breed. It is barely three feet high and two across. Despite its size, it is a gorgeous, precious thing. At its top it is sunset-like, pinks and golds shine through like clouds and the sun, which fades into light and dark blues and purples, a bright shining almost white mark in its center which almost glows from its brightness. It has markings upon it shell like that of many wings arching upwards, as well as petals reaching for the sun. At its base, the shell almost looks grassy like the land and even has a blue pond-like area. For its small size, its sparkling detail gleams over its shell, which seems to be made of crystal. It is smooth and warm to the touch.
Posted Image

She gaped at the tiny little egg as Tytus moved to stand beside her head, and without warning he began to laugh.

"I did not know it was in there..." she admitted a touch sheepishly as the little Crystal egg was carefully moved to a more suitable nesting location. The attendants' first instinct was to move it closer to the crystal biome, but Ahtian was quick to correct them. This little one was the one who wanted flowers, and so it was nestled close to the boundary of the flower garden, crystalized rose vines curling around the base of its resting place.

Shockingly Shocking

Ostoglos

The leviathan was a strange creature, she was feared by most, but generally liked by those that got close. The fear of the many had its place though, while she was personally often nice to things that approached her, or that she approached, there was an unpredictability to her actions in some places. Many ships that had fired upon her were sunk without mercy, and those with long memories still remembered when she was far less... Approachable even in the best of situations. Many old legends told of a monstrous wyrm in the sea, sinking ships and devouring entire villages with an insatiable bloodlust... And many of those legends could be used as an identity card for the massive beast, even if she was smaller in them.

All these facts made it more understandable when one of the workers manning the various automated gates and channels for the water portion of the hatchery freaked out and attempted to close the water gate upon noticing the massive shape approaching. Those within the hatchery could hear the massive machinery moving the armored gate into place, as well as the alarms that warned any near to it that it was closing so that they could avoid getting crushed. Several water dragons suddenly emerged from the water, deciding that they would temporarily abandon their guard posts on the tunnel to get as far away from this disaster as possible... This.. Wasn't the first time it had happened either.

The salt water lake seemed to grow still for a moment in the wake of all the action, and then it gurgled, and began to bubble up. Something that was not possible if the gate were, in fact, closed as the lights and alarms suggested it had been. Most of the females nearest to, or within the watery area looked absolutely terrified, or hissing protectively over the eggs that had been laid. It was with good reason as well, as the water swelled and then overflowed with a sudden wave across the shores. Strangely it seemed to bend around the eggs, and nests, but not across those outside of them. Many of the male dragons that were with their females ended up soaked as they stood besides the nests, and several attendants were washed away, or into the water if they were nearby.

As the water came back into the salt water lake the massive form of Ostoglos broke the surface, with an indignant roar of anger. Her many eyes darted about, scanning the entire hatchery at once as she bubbled and roiled with anger. In the midst of this a tiny voice could be heard near her, and the intense anger that she was showing soon faded away into a merely highly annoyed look... It still looked like she might literally bite the head off whoever had the nerve to shut the gate on her, but she looked less likely to do that to random people now. At least until she opened her massive jaws and scooped up a dragon, and an attendant or two... Muttering something about 'free snacks' as she floated over to the shore.

...The next bit was more relieving, but less surprising as she lowered her jaws and let the captured creatures roll out onto the sand... They weren't the last things to exit those jaws though, her body seemed to ripple somewhat as a odd gurgling came from her throat... A moment later she allowed a large, white earth dragon to slide out into her jaws, and then out, either to the earth below, or if he chose otherwise to float before her. The water peeled away from him though, leaving him shiny and spotless even after such a trip... The next was probably somewhat more surprising, as she simply allowed her lowest jaw-flap to unfurl like a ramp to the ground infront of her.

* * *
Surprising was perhaps an understatement as the first large dragon made its way out of the semi shade of Ostoglos' massive jaws. Almost as soon as the light of the hatching complex touched her, the dragon seemed to light up like solar fire, but this indeed was only the reflections of light upon one of the most beautiful dragons to grace these or any sands. For a metal dragon, she was quite large and had a true royal air, and a certain familiarity became clear, a family resemblance that started in the way she held herself, combined with the twisting woven horns about her noble face and head, the slender but powerful form and smooth bod with half feathered wings and a long tail that ended in light plumes. Had she not been so small and so perfectly made of gold, she would have nearly looked like Yggdrasil. And it was true enough, she did not simply look made of gold, nor was she just gold in color. Every scale from the first on her muzzle to the thinnest thread of the feather ending her tail, she was made of gold with few other accents. True here and there were other shades and kinds of gold exampled upon her body, and some places even seemed to have platinum coursing through some scales.

It was hard to look upon such a dragon who was not a titan and believe her to be a goddess sent from heaven, but perhaps at one time she had been. There were legends told about this particular dragon, born tens of thousands of years ago, lost to time. A forgotten royal sired by a long dead consort, a past lover of Ygg ages ago. Even heavy with egg, the dragon moved like liquid, but still solid gold. She was radiant and commanded the eyes of any who even saw a glimmer of shine out the corner of their eye, even if they only looked for a moment, they were hers and she knew it. The only true break in her golden color were the brilliant cerulean, oceanic caribbean colored eyes that shone like sapphires against her form. She had not seemed bothered by being in Glos' mouth at all, as if the creature was not filthy to her. One free of Glos, the vain, (but not nearly as vain as she was when she was born) dragon stretched and flexed her shimmering wings, allowing her feet to cause the sandy beach in a small area directly around her to turn to gold, where she chose to lay down, but only afer she leaned her beautiful slender neck out and nuzzled that squishy, white leviathan with a gentleness and caring that was shocking.

The second dragon to follow Narcida was absolutely princely, though he did not move with the same grace or certainty out of Glos as Narcida had. This wasn't new per'se, but even so he was beautiful. He had graced the sands of Lomira almost nine years ago now, and sired two hatchlings there, but afterward had seemingly vanished back into the wilds of the ocean and only now sen again. He was oceanic, color that could change on a whim like a cuttlefish, and in the dark, he glowed like a firefly squid, but that was where he and such creatures similarities ended aside from the afinity to water. He was crystal, and water in a unison that made his colors shine, his long sinuous body seemed to flow like a current, but most striking were the tall frills and fins upon his form, from head all the way down his body and tail. He paused for a moment as he stepped free from the jaws of the dragon and turned to thank Glos for bringing them here, a courtesy even though she was already coming here anyway. He moved and laid down near Narcida, who nuzzled him lightly but not with the same level of affection as she had for the massive wyrm. Curious indeed. Ygg meanwhile, had known that Narcida lived, she had heard rumors a while back but it had been an...well, quite an age since she'd actually seen her daughter, whom she dipped her head to in acknowledgment and greeting.
* * *

With her passengers unloaded, and her anger still slowly bubbling away she let herself sink further back into the water again. Her body was too large to fully submerge where she currently lay, but it didn't matter. She had come here for a reason just like all the other females, her body coiled up somewhat, with a gap in the middle where she would lay her eggs. The water within that space parted, and flowed over her body till it was more or less dry, and would be suitable incase she had a non-water dragon egg.

While many of the females upon the sands had great difficulty with their eggs, this was not the case for Glos. Her eggs were tiny bubbles within her, all things considered, physically she had appeared utterly unchanged while gravid... As she lay them as well, other than the somewhat visible contractions the first egg left her body with almost no effort. It was a good thing she had removed the water from her laying area as well, since the first egg was definitely not suited for the water.

At nearly ten feet tall and nearly as wide at its oddly bulging base, this black Earth egg is quite large. Despite its outward appearance of being scaled, it is actually smooth. In the right light it is iridescent purple, blue and green. It is quite pretty, if simple on the surface. Its shine is impressive, as is its weight.
Posted Image

"Vohehmuh, mehk dohr-ehk roh-ehk neh-ehst fohr eht... Pleh-ehs..." As if appearing from nowhere (though she had really just been curled tightly to Glos's lantern stalk) the lithe water dragon knwon as Nahla that she had snatched as a translator quickly did her job. "Voima, please make a nest with dark rocks for this egg..." She smiled at him lightly before ducking back down a bit... There were an awful lot of angry dragons around them, it seemed...

The next egg that she was laying she could feel the difference in, and sense its element as it began to emerge. Quickly a small pool of water flowed into the area for it, surrounding and cushioning the soft egg as she released it into the world. It floated happily in its own little amorphous blob of water, which she maneuvered so her, and Voima could look at it more closely..

This large water egg is bulgingly large. At eight feet tall and nine around, it seems to shift within. Lucky the egg is soft and squishy, but also fragile. However, the egg is sticky with a toxic mucus that stings the hands of those who touch it. It can be touched if the person is brave and washes their hands fast. The egg itself is a white-blue that gradiades to a soft brilliant yellow, as well as a darker blue. The color seems to come from the hatchling inside, which seems to have a streaked pattern. The growing wyrmling inside is in no danger from surface touch, but care should be taken. It requires both being submerged in water as well as toxins in the water.
Posted Image

She was silent for only a few moments before looking at one of the attendants, and speaking to him shortly. "Brehng meh poh-sohn ehg soh-plays." As usual, the translator kicked in immediately after. "She wants you to bring her the supplies for poison eggs, please." Glos grunted when that 'please' was added, as that was definitely not the tone she had taken... But she didn't feel the need to verbally correct this. "Voima could you make a bowl or something of the sort to house this one?" came her cheerful voice, apparently she could read Glos's mind... Or more likely, just thought a little further ahead in this case.

Glass/Metal Izanami Miristiale

The scream startled her awake, causing Izanami's head to shoot up, frantically looking around her wings half open as if ready to fight or flee. There had been many nights where she had woken as such, panic filling her eyes as her dreams bled into reality. She had been dreaming but the scream was not a part of it, there were never any screams in her dreams. She felt the soft brush of Carpathians muzzle against her side having woken instantly to her movements. He was always there to guide her back from the dream world, comforting her that all was calm and she was safe, that he would watch over her for the rest of the night while she tried to fall back asleep, and he always was awake when she woke up, keeping well on his promise to watch over her even if he lacked sleep on his own. But this morning was different, she felt different. She did not realize what had woken her as of yet and Carpathians nuzzle did not relax her body like it normally would. She shuffled around uncomfortably trying to get back into whatever position she had woken up in, but nothing felt right. Stretching out she suddenly trumpeted in pain as her body tightened and contractions rippled through her body. She suddenly understood what the call was, it had been a different voice than Yggdrasil who had begun the laying the previous year but to her body it made no difference, now was the time and her egg needed to be laid.

"I must go. I need to lay, now." She breathed to Carpathian, her voice strained as another contraction rippled through her body.

Her four wings unfurled again and this time she took to the air, her gravid body hung low in the sky as she tried to glide most of the way to the hatchery. Her attention was caught by the enormous egg crowning the hatchery like a regal all knowing jewel and would have been caught in it's gaze had her own egg not demanded to be free of her body so vigorously. She glided down to the area created for sound dragons, various instruments and music players scattered the area for parents to pick through for their eggs. She did not know what she wanted yet, just that this was where she needed to be.

The egg wasted no time after she landed forcing her to lay it where she was at. It was easier to lay than Brazier had been the Fire/Metal had been so hot that this one seemed much easier in that regard. But it's shape was another mater, harsh and uncomfortable as it was completely round, no gentle tapering to make it easier on her but it was not spherical like a marble but rather it was flat. It felt like it was cutting into her even though the edges were not sharp, their shape made it almost seem so. But soon enough it was laid and sat on the ground while it's mother lay panting for a moment before turning to see it. She chirped rather surprised at it's tech like look but it's size deemed it was not. Aesulla had the affect of influencing eggs that grew while their mothers spent time in the Technological city.

This Sonic egg is about eleven feet wide across. The egg is disklike and flat in appearance, though it is a few feet thick. For being a Sonic egg it is oddly technology-like, which likely is because its crucial development time was spent in Aesulla. One side of the disk, split in the middle, is blue-white in glow, against black-blue, while the other is orange-gold against a black-bronze. It is covered in circuitry, and often has some pretty sweet music coming from it in techno tunes. Sometimes the colors change at random and it is perfectly safe to touch. It enjoys gifts of music, such as music players and technological bits of offerings as well.
Posted Image

She turned and rummaged around in the pile of music players and tech bits, pulling out ones she liked and seemed fitting, turning them on and placing them around the egg making a nest of music. She turned to Carpathian and crooned, her expression seemed, happy. For the first time since the battle at Nondir the Glass/Metal seemed able to smile. She nosed her Metal/Sound mate looking please, "It seems our little one is taking after your element, it not perhaps your sense of music" She actually smiled, turning back to look at the egg, a slight tech song seemed to be starting to drift from it.

Her body was tired after laying such an awkward egg and having a restless night before hand so after making sure the nest was to her and the eggs liking she curled her body around it protectively, folding a wing over it and dozing off lightly. Sleep would not come with all the bustle of mothers laying eggs and finding where they wanted their nests to be and one screeching about something, but she did not want full sleep, her eyes only half closed remaining aware of her immediate surroundings. She lifted her head when she noticed Carpathian suddenly leaving her side, looking to see where he went seeing he had shoved a mother away from her egg, what was he doing? She watched confused as the mother screamed about her egg being wrong and Selhanzilael have mercy before storming off, leaving the egg behind. Izanami crawled back into a sitting position to watch what Carpathian would do now that he was in possession of the egg. Who would take care of it now? What were the hatching assistants even talking about? Disposed of?

Hearing such a phrase be directed towards an egg made her get to her feet with startling quickness. With a few bounds she was next to Carpatian, leaving her Sonic egg encased in a protective case of dragonglass while she left it's side. She glanced down at the abandoned egg and locked eyes with it's enormous cerulean ones. It's little feelers wiggles at her and she couldn't help herself, she picked the egg up and turning towards the attendants puffed her feather like scales at them threateningly, a low hissing sound emitting from her jaws before turning and walking back to her nest. She curled up next to the encased sound egg before beginning to make a nest for her newest egg, fashioning a dragonglass bowl to place it in. She wasn't sure exactly what it needed but the outside of the egg seemed to be excreting a substance so a bowl would catch whatever flowed off. She crooned at it softly gently brushing a claw against the little feelers sticking out of the egg and watched as they tried to munch on her claw. She chuckled lightly and looked up at Carpathian.

"I think it's hungry, do you want to find something for it to eat?"

Time Chrono

She couldn't have chosen a poorer time to arrive, and there was some sort of irony in that, she had to admit. She'd known this would happen in a vague, nagging sort of way. Time dragons are sworn to secrecy, and it's easier to keep a secret when you don't know the secret in the first place. Most niggling whispers of things to come are ignored, felt like the dull murmur of conversation in a filled room. Perhaps she should have been more attentive, but there was nothing to do about it now.

The time dragon watched as the golden Narcida made her way across the sands, and it seemed improper to interrupt her. She averted her eyes, whiskers twitching as she gathered her feet beneath her, tail curled around her hindquarters. It felt disrespectful to choose a spot to lay before Narcida, but the eggs within her wouldn't wait. The time dragon was absolutely gravid, bordering on discomfort, and there was no time to lose. As quietly as she could, the time dragon slipped down into the hatching complex, footsteps light, body moving with an almost feline grace despite her size.

She took her time in selecting a spot, pausing here and there to nose some materials or to peer at another egg. She gave the Seraphic egg a wide berth; Something about it didn't feel quite right, and though she didn't fear that presence spilling over, she didn't want it near her eggs, either. In the end, she settled for a frigid nest, slick with ice and cold enough to make her breath mist. The time dragon hunched, and gave a startled cry as the egg slipped out of her. It was cold, freezing cold, biting cold as it passed out of her. Her hindquarters danced back beneath her, and she gave the egg an inquisitive look.

The Ice Egg is an opal-like, it is deep blue-purple and silver, whirling with lighter blues and sometimes pinks, depending on the light. It is about seven feet tall, its base is quite wide and while it is not round like many ice eggs, it is also about seven feet wide as well. It has a silvery shine and is exceedingly cold at all times, and the shell seems stormy. The colors seem to move about the surface from time to time, and once in a while it can be seen to almost be snowing.
Posted Image

With the egg lain, she nosed it carefully to the center of her nest. She didn't have much time to fawn over it, however: She could already feel the second egg coming into position for laying, and she had a nest to prepare. It was heat she sought this time, a nest so hot that she had to keep it away from the first egg for fear of melting the other nest. Whatever sort of chill she'd felt before as she had laid the ice egg was soon eased away, and with a vengeance: She hunched again, and her body shivered from head to toe in strain before the second egg was dropped, and then rolled, neatly into its nest.

This massive egg stands at eleven feet tall, five and a half feet wide, this Lava egg is a fine example of the larger end of the breeds standard. The egg itself is blacker than black, though it splits as if with cracks across the surface, glowing like the core of the planet. Intense heat issues from the egg, which sometimes see,s to leak lava, though the Egg itself is not harmed in the least. It crackles and has the sound of molten rock moving through the earth. The glow in the cracks sometimes lessens to total black, and sometimes the brightness overtakes the black. Normally it is in a midway state in between the two.
Posted Image

The Time dragon, spent but pleased by her efforts, settled herself between her two nests. From this space, she could keep an eye on the rest of the hatching grounds and tend to both eggs as needed. She spread her wings wide, and lightly, protectively, held them aloft over both of the nests. This space was hers, and she'd make that much quietly and politely clear to anyone who came close.

Space/Dark Event Horizon Galgrane

He could tell instantly when something changed within Distress due to the flow of her blood across her body. He was grateful for this because if she was ever moody and didn't want to bring it up with him he knew the right things to say to bring her out of it. But it was also helpful for more important distressful happenings, like the laying. As soon as the rivulets of blood across her body changed he was immediately attentive to her, nodding to her as she said it was time and following close behind as she took off to the sands. He did what he could to take some of her weight off of her wings, lifting her slightly with his mind and making the flight less stressful on her body as a whole.

His concentration almost wavered as they arrived and the power of the Seraphs egg washed over him, glancing at its looming presence over everything and everyone. Even mothers who tried to hide their egg away from its gaze he felt could not truly hide from it's judgmental aura. He quipped a little surprised note at Distress as she headed right for it. His eyes left the egg long enough to notice the mother, laying in agony at the passing of such an egg and instantly knew Distress's purpose.

"I know I can't stop you but please try not to tax yourself to greatly. There are others here who can help that are not in labor." He softly asked of her, hoping the egg would wait long enough for her to help at least a little bit.

He did what he could to hold her body up while she stanched some of the blood flow, a Seraphic/Time arriving soon after to almost freeze time completely until more talented and not gravid females arrived. He glanced at the flowing pools of glowing blood as the slowed and almost stopped as time for Talheraiel froze to a sluggish pace, her breathing hardly discernible. He could not stare long though as Distress did not have the luxury of slower time with their egg.

He followed her as she landed on a pillar nearby the Seraphic egg, this one almost as high, the highest one taken by Talherahiel his heart fluttering nervously as she laid the egg pacing around wanting to help but knowing that it was up to Distress at this point. He fluctuated on giving her space and being at her side until, finally, the egg was laid and he crooned happily at seeing it, rubbing his body happily against hers.

"Indeed it is, my Universe" He crooned the last bit at Distress and nuzzled her.

He watched as she gently pressed her muzzle against the egg lovingly, chuckling as a bright blue wisp suddenly appeared and her nose was apparently in its predestined trajectory. "We have a little feisty one don't we?" He said happily, sticking a claw out and messing with the wisp, getting in it's way until it swirled around his claw angrily. He pulled it back before Distress smacked him to hard and let it return to its orbit peacefully around the egg.

The golden dragon that had arrived before laid upon her sandy nest, not changing too much of her surroundings, but enough to make a gorgeous shine to reflect from. It was hard to tell if she was in any pain in the first place, a strange, peaceful sense about her seemed to flow over her scales as she focused, trying to listen inside to her instincts. She was lucky indeed, for it felt as if she would not have to leave the site Glos had chosen, and in doing so, did not have to leave her side either. She turned and spoke to Valyss, asking him to make a clear crystal raised bowl, as clear as possible without too much magnification to the transparency. She did seem to love details, and as soon as the crystal-water had done as she asked, she got up, and drew up the now solid gold sand around her in a sort of shield or curtain, blocking her from site all around. In the relative darkness of her private space, the dragon lingered over her laying. The eggs were large and though she was no small dragon, it was not entirely easy as she made things look and wished for none to see her struggle.

She was lucky in that the eggs inside herself were both extremely smooth, which made things a little easier. The first she felt was orb-like, spherical in nature and quite wide. With some effort, and yet hardly a note of sound from herself, the golden goddess heaved a final push and with that, the egg gently landed upon the soft golden sand. It was a water egg, but its shell was hard and as smooth as blown glass, yet stronger still. Within, it looked like the sea, open ocean at mid-day, complete with sunlight streaming down into tropical waters, making water webs in what looked like sand below. The egg had a strange depth to it that made it appear to be deeper in the sea than it really was in size, and she wondered how that could be. What shocked her more was that it was not so simply markings upon the shell but actual moving waves over the surface gently rolled, and the light cascaded on the sand. A deep, dark shape seemed visible as if swimming within but was not visible in any level of clarity.

Metal Narcida: 1 Water Egg, 1 Metal Egg

This water egg is seven feet in all directions, and filled with what looks like water or the illusion of it, complete with surface waves that move. It seems to have light cascading down through the deep waters, sparkling endlessly in an almost crystal-like fashion. Shadows move here and there beneath the surface and it is quite impressive to behold. Its shell is hard and smooth, and cool to the touch.

Using gentle tendrils of gold, she lifted the egg and parted the wall of her shield without herself being seen, the tendrils gently setting the egg inside the now finished crystal clear bowl. Almost instantly, the water egg seemed to glisten even more, as waves of salt water began to pour out from...well, no where visible. The bottom of the bowl had even filled with sand the likes that were inside the egg- or at least, were visible. Like the Space egg, it seemed to project things upon its surface which were not really there at all. The water only stopped when it reached the absolute brim of the bowl, not a drip falling out. Light was shining down from somewhere unseen. It was beautiful and breathtaking as its parents.

This done, Narcida closed the shield again and let the tendril 'melt' back into sand particles once more and resumed the task of laying. This egg was bigger than the other was, but it was tapered, and once free with a bit more effort and a quiet cry that likely as not, only Valyss and Glos had heard, the egg was finally free, resting upright upon golden sand. She marveled at it, and used her own metallic heat to dry it and washed it off where the other egg had not needed it- being a water egg of some sort, the prior egg had actually not had any particles stuck to the shell. This one was soon enough clean and shining, a nest of intricate gold wove about its base to keep it secure while also framing it in beauty to go with its unearthly shine. Only when she was good and ready did she bring down her shield and move the nest with her considerably honed, ancient metal elemental skill to sit it near the other eggs nest.

It at first appeared to be silver, but was not quite so. The metal was closer to platinum, but shimmered like chrome, but was neither of these metals either, it was strong and might have been something entirely different indeed. In fact, the egg itself was quite warm to the touch, hot even, but it did not hurt even bare hands that touched it, and instead seemed to soothe.

The golden dragon looked quite pleased with herself and laid down near the egg and Valyss, her back resting against Glos though her tail was curled lightly about the crystal-like water dragon. Even if she was a bit vain, at least it wasn't like she used to be. She didn't appear outwardly to be as exausted as she was, but decided that a little rest would do her well enough, so she rested, even if not entirely asleep and mostly aware of what was going on around her.

This Metal egg is very impressive and beautiful, despite its singular color. It is a shining silver, though it is unlikely to be that metal exactly. The metal itself seems more valuable than simple silver, and it shines with intense reflectivity, almost chromelike platinum, but more heavenly and stronger than the simple jewelry-metal. Shadows and light make its appearance shimmer and dance with dark grays and bright whites. It is about eight feet tall and five feet wide at its base. It can be hot to the touch but does not seem to harm those who touch it bare handed. candidates can touch it without gloves. It is metallic and unearthly smooth with no imperfections at all, almost like an unearthly metal.

Earth Painovoima Vatnaoli

The white earth dragon had lived an interesting past few months after winning Ostoglos' swim. He had decided to stay with her though he would occasionally take a day or two off to return to the surface, sunbathing wasn't quite the same down in the depths you just didn't quite get that warm feeling like you did on a nice basking rock. But he would always return and usually with a little treat or gift for her. He would also bring something for Nahla hoping she would become more comfortable around him as he disliked making anyone feel nervous just by his sheer presence. And over time it seemed to work and they had even become quite good friends talking about all the cool things they'd seen though those conversations usually ended with her talking and him listening as she had seen so many more things than he had in his three years.

He enjoyed listening to even seemingly simple things like the fish, coral and sea critters that inhabited different zones in the ocean defined by the depth one went to as the further you swam the less sunlight could reach through all the water and so the animals inhabiting that zone needed to change accordingly to survive. He hadn't known till she told him that coral, the living rock plants of the ocean actually required a very specific temperature in order to survive and that if the water reached a temperature to hot or to cold they would suffer and die quickly, entire coral beds would be decimated and everything else that survived off of them would would be massively affected as well. Something like this had happened once and a specialist Water/Floral dragon had to be called in to reset the balance to avoid the destruction a dead reef would have caused. She even took him to see some of the coral she told him about and he managed to startle an enormous Goliath Grouper fish that made a booming noise, scaring the shit out of him and causing endless laughter for Nahla.

He could even understand Ostoglos without Nahla needed to translate everything quite as much now though sometimes she still did out of habit, or clarifying something he couldn't quite pick up the nuances of. And now that they were arriving at the sands he was kind of sad to see the water world go, being with Ostoglos allowed him to breath underwater without issue which allowed him to go to places he otherwise would not be able to. He didn't like to think about when the next time he would be able to adventure like that again in the future. He had also been allowed inside Ostoglos' inner pouch that she had in her mouth, it was completely dry and though it was spacious he had to switch to his humanoid form to enter. Upon such he had been introduced to one of, nay the most beautiful dragoness he had ever laid eyes upon. He had done his best to be a complete gentleman and not stare agape at her but even the honorable Painovoima found his gaze drawn to her more easily during conversations.

As they arrive he was the first to exit from Ostoglos' enormous jaws, whatever wet sheen that coated his body parted from it and left him completely dry. As he left he chose to hover in the air next to Ostoglos while Narcida and Valyss exited next. After they went to make their own nest Ostoglos turned to attend to her own eggs. First parent though Voima was Ostoglos certainly was not and laid the eggs with just as much ease as one would expect. Voima could only hover and see if his help was needed once the eggs had been lain and his element was required to make a nest. As it turned out two eggs were lain and one was indeed Earth. He waited until Ostoglos told him what the egg required as it may have a certain taste and it seemed it did. He dipped his head to both ladies before landing carefully next to the newly laid egg and couldn't help but beam at it happily. He made himself focus on the nest, he could smile at his eggs after their needs were taken care of, not before. Once the nest was carefully crafted full of dark rocks as had been specified he allowed himself to look at their second egg, a water egg vibrant with color and seeming to take after its mother if not in her color, but her more toxic abilities as she asked for poison based supplies. Once asked he created a strong but slightly elegant bowl for the water egg to sit in so it could soak appropriately.

Now that they were appropriately taken care of he allowed himself to sit and stare at the two eggs happily. What souls resided within the little eggs? What would they look like and would they choose to bond to someone or become unbonded like himself? "They're so colorful" He said happily as if he somehow expected them to be white like Ostoglos and himself.

There were few dragons who could say that they had truly witnessed the presence of a Celestial- Those that had seen Selhanzilael in Nondir aside, and those who actually knew the element of Yggdrasils helper, in its true form. And this particular Celestial had been in this world for quite some time, and had been thought to have died in the plague war. The true story there was actually intricate and fascinating, but not one known to anyone but the very closest to her. And there were very, very few of those to go around. At some point in time, the Celestial had gained the nickname Celestial Mother, despite not having claimed such a title, but she had chosen to accept the name, and many people who were not close to her simply called her Mother. However it had come to be, she had formed a strange bond with those of the viral's kin, Mantella. She had not chosen to have a flight in quite some time, but like Yggdrasil, sometimes chose to take a consort for the duration of their life.

She had been in the hatching complex for a few weeks already, though she was using the element of illusion to hide her presence. True, the Titans could sense her there, but as she was not doing anything of a malicious nature, and for the moment, was actually nesting, they had left her be. She had chosen a site to the far left of the crystal zone, close enough for its essence to work upon one of her fo...three nests. Not that she needed the grounds to help her as she was made up of every element, but it was nice to catch a break some times. Feeling that now was as good a time as any to let her illusion fade and reveal her massive form- Though still much smaller than the likes of the titan near her, she began to feel the twinges of pain signalling that her own eggs were not willing to wait any longer.

shortly before her own need to lay had hit, she had watched the first Seraphic as she had laid her own impossibly huge egg. Such an egg might have even given the celestial trouble, but she could just as easily use her spirit element to phase her own body into mist, leaving her eggs in their respective prepared nests. Which, as she waited for the illusion to completely fade, she chose that moment to do. Her body, its deep purples and golds with streaks of blues and pinks and glowing marks began to turn into a visible dark purple and gold mist, which soon enough wove and positioned itself about her nests. One at a time, each egg painlessly and gently found its way into each nest before she reformed, laying like a sphinx and her head held high, this six limbed Celestial practically grinning. Several females actually shot her glares, as if her complete ease of laying was a personal insult. Even Ara, and Ygg, and even Glos too had actually laid their eggs, even if it was painless. Perhaps they were jealous or just cranky mothers.

If any had actually seen the fourth nest before it became hidden from sight, they might have wondered about it, as it had seemed to lack an egg at all. Maybe she had expected more than she had? Or perhaps laid one earlier that had not gone so well over, which happened sometimes. Mothers usually did try to hide it when they had a failed egg, so it was entirely possible the fourth egg had not formed right. In any case, before the great Celestial Mother there laid three impressive eggs. One was a monster, it stood at least twelve or thirteen feet tall and glowed like hells wrath inside, its outer form pulsing with sharp scales. Quite suddenly, the molten lava egg shuddered, its shell coating over with a glistening clear liquid that was apparently from within as hundreds of sharp, needles and spines shot up through the eggs shell, heat glows like molten fire deep inside visible like staring into the sun. The sharp needles were also coated in the slick, thin glossy substance. One look told Maha everything she needed to know about this egg, and so, she kept it hot and provided it with every toxin she could give it. Whenever Mantella himself showed up, she would warn him against even the slightest touch of it, for while the dragon was immune to toxins, whatever coated the egg also caused true agony. She also warned him to warn his rider that she should be of even more caution than her dragon, as the pain it could inflict might even kill her before the toxic nature of the egg could.

This Lava egg is twelve feet tall from base to top, and is eight feet wide not counting the innumerable sharp spines and needles sticking out the top and all across the scaled shell. Fortunately for the mother, this egg was not laid so spiked. They erupted from the shell within the hour after it was laid, and are coated in what looks to be a shiny wet substance which never evaporates in the intense heat of the shell, so hot that it glows like the planets core clear through the shell. Where the needles and spines erupted from, it can be seen that the glow is much more intense inside. An insane heat churns within this egg, even protection may not help, as some substance often melts gloves.

To touch this egg with an open hand even for a moment brings unearthly agonizing pain which does not in any way originate from the heat or burns, which also hurt but not so much as the sharp spines do. The pain from even the slightest touch of the needles is enough to drive a human mad from the agony. Rumors say it could even cause a person to wish death rather than live a day with the pain inflicted. Candidates be warned, this egg is deadly, for not only does it cause pain, it seems to be toxic as well.

The second egg was more than half again shorter than the massive lava-toxic egg, but seemed to hold its own mysteries. The egg itself would have been clear as glass or crystal and just the same material, if not for the constant flowing and ever thick dark blue and even purple mist within. It was such a haze of darkness that no light pierced it. As if sensing it was being looked over by its mother, hundreds of stylized eyes appeared and narrowed as if grinning, a single more clear looking eye peering out as well. They coated the entire inside of the egg, blinking in and out of existence, and seemed capable of moving independently about the shell to look at everything around it. How curious it was, and yet, it seemed to have its own odd aura. It was perhaps a Mental egg, given how the egg looked, but it also made those who were quite close to it and unprotected sleepy or even forgetful.

This Mental egg seems to be about five or so feet tall and four wide at its base. Its shell is glossy and clear as glass, but the inside is a constant storm of hazy dark blue, and sometimes dark purple. There are often constantly hundreds of what looks to be eyes that appear and disappear, most looking like they are markings, but may not be. Sometimes a clearer looking eye blinks in from the chaotic mists within, the eye following movement well enough to be assumed that it is indeed the wyrmling. The egg is ever watchful and there is little it misses. People who touch it may have an interesting time.
Posted Image

The last egg was the smallest, despite being what looked to be a Fire egg- It was far smaller than such an egg should have been, but perhaps it was more than it seemed, like many eggs. Its many dark blue and black spots and dapples were such a shade as to be very disorienting next to that specific shade of red, and it was not advised to stare at it too long.

This dark red and speckled Fire Egg is unusually small for its type, being only about six feet tall from its base to its top, and just over three feet wide. It is dwarfed by its sibling egg, but is quite vibrant to make up for it. Dashes of black split the dark blue and black speckling, these dashes being adorned with an almost eye jarring shade of blue. It is disorienting at best to behold, confusing even and can even cause a person to feel oddly nauseated if they stare at it for too long. It is quite feverishly hot, gloves are required to touch it.

Celestial Mahasarmasael: 1 Mental egg, 1 Fire Egg, 1 Lava Egg, ...

The Celestial crooned softly at her eggs, her long soft fur gently seeming to move as if from a breeze as she looked them each over, her front two smallest arm like forelimbs tucking something against her chest, which was hidden under her fur and out of sight. She glanced across the grounds and spotted the Glass dragon that had saved a curious egg and thrummed to herself, wondering how that was going to work out. She leaned her long neck down and whispered something to Mantella once he'd shown up. Whatever she'd said was unheard by any whos ears she had not meant it for- any trying to hear would have heard a distorted odd static echo...

Shockingly Shocking

Cauldron
damaging streets, approaching Talh and addressing Irasotiel and Zeliniel

It was awhile before one of the next... Notable entrances was made to the hatchery, he was awfully late considering how quickly the other males had gotten here, but he had a decent excuse. With his armor, and size, he was unable to fly like many dragons could, at least not without some serious energy expenditure. Instead of that though, which would have potentially detrimental effects to young dragons and eggs, he just walked. His armored feet occasionally left dents in the concrete streets or such that he passed over, all the way up till he entered through some of the large doors of the hatchery.

He paused only for a moment, his fiery gaze flowing from the massive maggot like form of Ostoglos, whom he was surprised to see here already. He didn't linger on Narcida for long, except for a moment when he mistook the gold for a bit of Talh... He quickly spotted the massive egg though, and the bloody dragoness near to it. His eyes narrowed as he watched the egg, it was large enough that it could have been a titans almost, but... A seraphic titan? HE wouldn't have come here would he? Probably not, though it was definitely some sort of force to be reckoned with, he could only hope it was on their side. The battles of men, dragons, and angels, were rarely as simple as people thought.

...Of course she had chosen the highest place possible in the hatchery, to display herself, as well as be separate from the others. It was likely his fault she had chosen some place unlikely to have many neighbors, his presence had already inflamed, and terrified many of the female dragons present. He paid them no mind as he began his long trek up the stairs towards his mate, some of the steps would crack, or cut under his claws as he went. He didn't seek out, nor avoid stepping in any of the spilled blood.

"Thank you for taking care of my mate, Irasotiel, Zeliniel." he grinned a bit to Ira, she looked much different full grown than she had when they were wandering the streets of Nondir at the start of the destruction. He was glad she had grown up strong, or well, managed to grow up at all with how dangerous things had been in recent history. Zeliniel he knew much less about though, and dipped his head slightly. "If she is stable I can take care of her, please tend to your eggs Irasotiel. She wouldn't want to be responsible for anything happening to them." He rumbled out to Ira, it's probably what Talh would have said herself, or so he imagined.

Truth be told, there was a second healer present that had gone completely unnoticed thus far, though not as enigmatically powerful in her healing as a Seraph, as time returned to Talh the tiny floral crept out from underneath a portion of her armor and instantly hid behind the horns of the seraph. It seemed terrified of Irasotiel, and Zeliniel, but in some twist of fate not of the massive death dragon that was looming along with them... Though if the Seraphs surrounding it pried enough into its mental state, they might find that it was mostly afraid of strangers. It was also likely, one of the smallest floral's around... Assuming it wasn't really a very large dwarf dragon.

"Zeliniel, if you are not laying this season, do you think you could ensure the egg is handled... Properly? I don't know if it needs any special tending..." his voice reverberated within his armor somewhat, but the volume felt very... Restrained. He had enough things flung at him, elemental, or object-wise at many previous laying that had taught him to be extra considerate during these things.

Seraphic Zeliniel Chroniachresht
Tag: Lysander

She had stayed completely immobile while waiting for Irasotiel to lay her eggs almost as if she had been frozen in time as well. Her entire focus was on the wounded Seraph not wanting to become distracted and allow some part of the Seraph to resume normal time. The effort was not great, she had spent more doing this same assistance onto Yggdrasil during the battle and her wounds had covered a much larger area for the Titan to slow time in. Once Irasotiel arrived though she used her Time in a different manner, allowing the healing to take a hold and then accelerating it greatly, sealing up wounds and causing much less blood loss than if she had allowed the healing to continue at a normal pace. Talh would still be greatly weakened by the amount of blood she lost but she would survive. She had sensed anothers presence arrive during their administrations to Talherahiel but had ignored it until now, turning and was slightly startled to see Cauldron standing there and due to the lack of reaction from Talh was apparently the father to the great egg. She did not turn aggresivly defensive as Irasotiel had told her of the time in Nondir that the great dragon had allowed her to help the people in great need there. He had also been in the battle after the graduation ceremony, calling upon enormous power and assisting them in their escape. She could sense no malice toward the egg or Talh from him and so did not engage him.

She dipped her head in acknowledgment and respect for the power he commanded and indeed her suspicion was confirmed when he thanked them for helping his mate. He turned to her and asked that she saw to the eggs needs while Talh recovered enough to do so herself. She dipped her head feeling humbled at such an honor. It was rare that an egg was tended to other than it's parents so soon after hatching and for to tend to such an egg as this one she felt privileged to do so. Remembering the man the Seraph's had happened upon a few days previous she summoned a hatching assistant to her.

"Would you please seek out Brother Lysander and ask for his presence at the hatchery. Tell him there is a Seraph egg and his prayers and blessings would be greatly appreciated as well as any religious artifacts he deems fit to offer to the egg." If there was a devout soul among men he was leader among them.

She felt Talh would approve of her choice as the other Seraph had met him the other day as well. Turning back to the egg she looked to the materials that hatching assistants had brought since it's laying now knowing it was a Seraph and bringing appropriate laying materials. She nosed through picking only the best that was offered, gently laying them in the nest near to the egg but not touching it's gleaming shell. The aura of the egg was thick in the air and she felt as if it's entire judgmental atmosphere was focused on her. It made her nervous though she could not pinpoint why, what great being was in this egg?

She noticed that a holy relic that she had placed earlier had fallen and was now touching the egg. She had been careful to place things around the egg in a ring so that nothing would touch it but it seemed that something had shifted causing it to tip over. She glanced at it cautiously thinking how best to move it and reached out to grab it. She was careful but the relic was awkward in her talons and to keep it from falling a single talon ever so gently brushed against the shell of the egg.

Brother Lysander
Tag: THE SERAPHS and DAT EGG

Daisy's barking woke Lysander from his nap. The dog was frantic at the door, fluffy tail wagging as she dug her paws at the crack between the door and the floor. The Cleric sat up somewhat stiffly, mind still swimming with sleep as his dog remained on the alert. A male voice was calling for him behind the wood, but Lysander couldn't understand him. The Cleric stiffly swung his legs over the side of his bed, splashed some water on his face, and hobbled to the door. His surprise registered immediately on his face with both raised eyebrows and a sightly gaping mouth as he saw a hatching grounds attendant standing in his doorway. Why had he taken so long to answer the door?

"I'm so sorry--" He began, self-consciously doing up the buttons on his shirt, although nothing was really visible. "I was--"

"I'm sorry to interrupt you, Brother," The attendant blurted out, his face red with exertion. Had he run here? Lysander's embarrassment turned quickly to concern, and his hands dropped slowly to his sides. Was something wrong? "But your presence has been requested on the Hatching grounds. Zeliniel requested you personally," He added, as if that would have made any difference.

Lysander moved at once to his trunk. He bent to sort carefully through his clothes. It didn't take him long to find his ceremonial robes, folded neatly and sealed in plastic. He removed them, and returned his anxious eyes to the attendant. "Can you tell me what's happened?"

"It'll be easier for you to see for yourself," The attendant admitted after some hesitation. There really no words to describe exactly had happened, or was currently going on, in the complex. Everyone felt that there was something strange at work, and not being able to put a finger on the cause was frustrating for everyone, man and dragon both. With any luck, a cleric might be able to shine some light onto the situation. "Please come as quickly as you're able." He left without another word.

Lysander wasted no time changing into his robes, light and dyed a rich, deep, silvery blue. He cinched his wide sash, navy and patterned with the silver symbol of the Celestial's horns. He thrust his book of prayers beneath his sash. His prayer shawl, traditionally used in egg blessing ceremonies, was draped across his shoulders. His fingers trembled as he picked through his trunk, selecting small, holy amulets to slip within the small, sewn-in shawl pockets. He chose seven, one for each pocket and headed out the door, grateful that today was one of his better days and he could therefore afford to leave Daisy behind.

Such was his focus when he entered the hatching grounds themselves that he did not notice the Seraphic blood until he had stepped in it. A quick glance down at his feet resulted in a startled cry of dismay, and the Cleric nearly fell backwards in his rush to avoid the glowing stream of blue which had spilled out across the sands. His heart leapt into his throat, and he cast his gaze wildly around, seeking the cause: Talherahiel, one of the seraphs he had encountered only days before. There was no way for him to escape it, and the more he stepped, the more he panicked as the blood reached his ankles. At last, he gave out a panicked cry, frozen to the spot.

"What's happened?" He begged of anyone who could hear. "Is she alright? Who's harmed her!?"

Crystal Titan Araselnassaa and Empress Synivox

As soon as she saw the eggs inner shell Synivox's stress level dropped tremendously realizing the cracks were a part of the eggs development. If they hadn't cracked now the hatchling would have had an impossible time getting out later on when it hardened considerably more without a breaking point to work with. She heard someone call out to her and turned to see a hatching assistant asking about the eggs, also holding her tea mug.

"Oh they're fine, I guess they are supposed to do that, see?" She offered to let him see the beautiful eggs feeling more than a little proud. She could sense Ara did not mind him looking either, she wanted the world to see her wondrous eggs just as much. Synivox then noticed that he was seeming kind of, wet, and putting two and two together realized she had probably klonked him on the head when she tossed her tea mug (which she hadn't even realized she'd done till she saw it in his hands). "Oh, did I hit you with that?" She asked looking apologetic. "Sorry about that, it's her first laying and I was a little nervous." She said looking like she was still recovering from her nerves.

A little? Ara's amused voice could be heard, probably by Reid as well.

Shooting a glance at her dragon her eyes snapped over to where someone had called out in distress rather close by. Seeing a holy man frozen in a puddle of Talherahiel's blood looking very distressed and asking anyone who could hear him what had happened Synivox figured he had been summoned by those up on the ledge but did not seemed to know why exactly he was there.

"Father!" She called out to alert him to her presence. He seemed distressed and she didn't want to startle him any more than he already was. "I assume you have been summoned by the Seraphs?"

Araselnasaa lowered her head near Lysander and spoke gently to him. "I will lift you to the ledge so you do not have to walk all the steps that have been coated in Talherahiels blood. I saw Irasotiel finish healing her so I assume her life is no longer in danger and you may have been summoned for other reasons. Perhaps to bless the egg for it is a Seraph, and one of great power."The Crystal Titan was enormous and even relaxing she could lift her head to see the top of the giant pillar which Talherahiel had laid the egg upon and so she had likely heard what Zeliniel had told the hatching assistant and also knew the status of the Seraph mother.

Gently holding her front hand flat she helped Lysander onto it and carefully lifted him up to the top of the platform, being as steady as she could be so he would not fall over. She made sure he was safely standing on the other side of the raised ledge that kept people from falling off to their certain deaths before lowering her limb back to the ground.

"Feel free to let me know when you want back down. I wouldn't want you to have to climb all those stairs while they are still coated in blood and slippery." She offered to him before lowering her head back to her nest where Reid and Synivox were still standing.
