Ciosa Reacting to people stumbling around her eggs.(Teagan, Idazon, Terminus) Ciosa was on... A lot of medication at the moment, so her reaction time was not as good as it usually was, or neither Idazon nor Teagan would have gotten so close to the eggs as they had without their due caution. As it was her eyes flickered open around when Teagan used the egg as a object to push herself back up upon, she frowned and curled her tail around the more delicate eggs as she began to reach out to move Teagan. She stopped when the egg seemed to latch onto the person, and looked rather alarmed and confused. What was going on? Had the tech removed her arm somehow, or was it fixing it? "Terminus... Why was there a candidate bleeding on our eggs..?" She sounded concerned for the candidate, but the way that she said the titans name made it very clear that she was not happy with him right now. He should not let anyone bumble near her eggs while she was in such a state, regardless of their condition. If the candidate had fallen against a fire egg she likely would have lost a lot of skin and potentially cracked it if she bled on it too much. She felt the urge to help scoop up the person and bring them to the medical area, but when she turned her head back towards them after speaking to terminus the world seemed to spin off on its own and she barely stopped herself from getting sick. It was hard to focus, but as she quelled her vision, and stomach she looked back down at them and gave a small concerned, but reassuring smile. "I think you should go quickly... It looks like she lost a lot of blood..." Her voice was soft and a little wistful, it was hard for her not to sound distant at the moment as her mind was not functioning as it should... Her mind was functioning enough for a very stern, and pointed mental conversation with the titan though. He had one thing to do while she was out of it, and that was to watch over the eggs and wake her up if any candidates approached. It didn't matter whether he calculated things were probably going to be okay, or anything like that. If he couldn't watch over the eggs he would have to leave and make room for someone that could. She rarely, if ever got angry especially at a person that was generally nice, but Terminus should have known better than to let potential harm come to her eggs when that was the sole thing she had asked of him during the touching. |

Yggdrasil to Lysander The Life Titan did not shield her eyes or look away as the great seraph egg vaporized the candidate...Perhaps she knew more about that elf than she wished she did. The events of history were etched into her immortal heart, including that of the first great betrayal. The time when it was discovered that one could bond to dragons to obtain their power, and under certain circumstances, could keep that power if something should happen to the dragon. It was thankfully a rarely done craft- especially in a time where laws were in place to prevent it...Though sometimes someone guilty slipped through the cracks. She knew the candidate had taken more than two dragons, all of whom had died in perfectly legal and explainable ways. One was showing off to a bigger dragon. Another died in an accident. One was abandoned, but didn't die. Another had died in a sparring accident. The only one that had been admitted to as a departure was the metal-Sound, and really, that was legal. If partners did not get along, one could ask to be unbonded....But usually a severance happened. Perhaps that had not taken place as it should have. The deep in thought Titan let out a soft, warm sigh and tilted her gaze to the upset man near her. "Peace, love...." She tucked her head against him as he huddled closer to her for support, letting her almost white golden scales rest warmly against him, bright blue eyes soft and understanding. "Let us reflect upon Nantuok 1:50-99,...The host will come to guide us, and in time, judge us. Be not afraid, for there is a goodness in your heart. That candidate-...She used and broke dragons, always slipping through legal loopholes. She could have bonded to any dragon here. Sometimes,...The right thing to do is the hardest." The Titan knew this was a difficult thing to witness, and she understood how it seemed. She curled her wings over, letting the light filter down over them, protective even. It troubled her to see her friend upset, and could almost feel the weight of his mind, filled with worries. "It is in times like these that we come together, to face the future not alone, but among friends. We live in uncertain times, but that is the way of the world. Try not to let these words weigh upon your soul and drag you down. If you like, perhaps we can discuss the scriptures later, in my quarters." She smiled and let her cheek-feathers fluff up near him, their indescribable softness warm and inviting, comforting to one who was struggling to make sense of the chaotic world just outside the embrace of her wings... |

Averon Tag: Araselnasaa and eggs It turned out Ahtian didn't really need anything for her eggs, or if she did it was simple enough that Averon was able to get away without being shocked, scorched, or etc... Also without any additional flowers appearing. He began to wander away as pandemonium seemed to break out all across the sands, people were getting poisoned, incinerated, amputated, and who knows what else. The beam of light from the sky was terrifying and awe inspiring, but it had put everyone on edge, even if the person seemed to have committed a rather heinous sin to receive such a judgement. He doubted many here had been that bad, but then again, he didn't know what the egg would consider bad either. He moved away from most of the commotion and ended up going to the platform with the titans, it wasn't too far from where something had happened involving that centaur he'd had the privilege of encountering earlier, but at least no one was dying at the moment. It took a minute for him to realize he was standing pretty close to one of the new titans, the crystal one to be precise, and that no one was really at the nest. It was as good as any, he guessed, and at least the titans tended to be on their best behavior during this time. The nest was giant compared to most of the ones he had walked past thus far, with exception of the other titans, though it seemed even more so as he approached it and cleared his throat. "Excuse me, Araselnasaa, may I approach and uh, interact with your eggs?" That sounded better than his last attempt, touching just seemed a little bit... Weird to him, even if it was tradition... "They're safe to touch right, since they appear a little... Crumbly." He commented as he noticed bits of crystal and rock around the base of the eggs, as if parts had fallen off in the past. It didn't look like they were actively coming apart though, or not much more so than they had already. He hoped that was normal. |

Rurik and Things (Teagan/Terminus/techegg Swoosh. Like a breath of fresh air, the door finally opened. Everything seemed to slow down, and Rurik felt like he was watching everything from far away. As if he wasn’t even there. He moved, feeling like gallons of water were pushing against him, trying to make his way to his sister, but a hatching attendant was quicker. Quickly staunching the blood flow with a makeshift tourniquet, and then talking to her. And of course, before Rurik could get to her, Ida had picked her up and was moving as fast as a centaur, though Teagan managed to Wave at him, which gave him some relief. She wasn’t unconscious, and seemed coherent, but Rurik hadn’t gotten to talk to her, or to even do anything but get pushed aside and to watch. He felt useless, but he followed behind in Ida’s wake, unable to keep up with the tired prince who still managed to keep a clip despite not being up to full speed. He had done a lot more at trying to bust through the door than Rurik after all, so all Rurik could do was follow behind, noting the path they took to the medical tent near the technology titan and his own brood. There he could see Teagan manage to stand on her own, and he could only assume that she had wanted to go on her two feet--Teagan was head-strong about that type of stuff, usually. Of course, she had always been taking care of him, putting the weight on her shoulders, that she didn’t really want anyone’s help unless necessary. So it was because of the sudden entrapment that Rurik was able to catch up without losing too much breath, but he was still jittery as he caught up to the Centaur. Rurik understood the need to get left behind--there was a dire medical emergency and now the tech egg had completely grabbed hold of his sisters stub of an arm. Panic rose up in his throat again, but he just went and waited patiently as the egg...did whatever it was. And it was, Rurik had to admit, Mesmerizing to watch what he could from where he was as the egg literally built Teagan a new arm. Red polished and Rurik was amazed. Teagan might have gone to get one herself after the whole event, but this was completely unexpected. Rurik know there were a lot of things tech dragons could do, but he didn’t know they could do those things while still in the shell...Perhaps because they were so close to hatching? And now there wasn’t a fear of Teagan bleeding out everywhere and dying, but Rurik still couldn’t help the guilty feeling that settled in his stomach, but he whisked it away hiding it behind a wall of relief. He approached Teagan carefully, his whole body still shaking. It was still a good idea to get her to the medical tent as the large titan dragon. But he had to thank them too. He approached Terminus and the egg, but he didn’t reach out to touch it, instead he bowed and proffered something for the tech egg. “T-thank you for h-helping my sister” He spoke to both egg and Terminus even though the egg had done most of the work--though he was thankful that the dragons hadn’t gotten mad or anything for the sudden barging in that was of no fault of theirs really. But he felt it necessary to offer the small tinker puzzle that looked to be a mess of wires and metal pieces that when put together created a little set of lights. He laid it near the nest, for the small egg and then turned to Idazon, thanking him as well before turning to his sister. “A-are you gonna be alright? Right?” he asked, trying to suppress whatever panic was leftover. He was shaky, uneven, but trying to stay strong. But his mind couldn’t stop replaying the spraying of blood, the arm still grasped in his own hand. He couldn’t shake the fear that had befriended the panic. But he had to squish it all down, right? He had to be strong, they had survived nondir, they could survive here with..most of their limbs intact. But he still couldn’t stop seeing red… |

A Little Better Tags: Ozium Selena remained perfectly still as her hand was bandaged. She flinched a little as the strange spit went to work to help cure her. She hadn’t expected them to be able to do anything about her hand right away but she was rather impressed when the dragon was able to patch her up. ”Thank you...it’s feeling better already.” She said and managed a smile as she stood up, on habit she flexed her hand again despite the bandages, she winced a little ”Yeah I can feel it again alright.” she chuckled some and then shook her head at the dragons inquiry. ”I think I should be fine now...I’ll just use my other hand to touch and avoid ones with spikes.” She explained “Maybe a nice peaceful fire or water egg.” She smiled a bit and rubbed the back of her head again “Thank you so much.” Selena was about to say more when the commotion happened outside and she heard people calling for a medic ”Right yeah you should probably go.” she said to Ozium; Selena took a minute to compose herself before heading outside as well, she had appreciated everything the dragon had done, including fixing up her hand hair and helping with her makeup, she never wore much but still it was appreciated. Once outside she blinked a bit at all the commotion and decided that for the time being she would stay out of the way and wait for things to quiet down some before continuing to touch eggs if that was even a thing that would continue at the moment. -- A Friend in Need Tag: Braelyn Minerva smiled at the small centaur as she leaned against her. The bigger Centaur wrapped an arm around Braelyn protectively and held her close until she was ready to get up and recover a bit. “We can go back if you like.” She motioned towards the way they had come, after all what was the point of all this if the centaur were not bonding...seemed frustrating to say the least. Still Minerva was ready to do as her friend desired. Then the egg went off and caused a fuss. Minerva snorted out some steam and moved in front of Braelyn as if to protect her. ”Going home seems like a good idea.” She said to Braelyn again as she watched people rush over to where Idazon was She kept herself between Braelyn until Terminus stepped in ”It should be okay now...I think...I am a little confused I will admit.” the big warrior centaur said with a frustrated huff, this was not a good night and this touching business seemed needlessly dangerous! |

This is it; this is the end @Terminus/Tech Egg/Idazon/Rurik Teagan knew she was in trouble the moment that she rolled up against the shell of the technology egg. Despite her weakened, one armed state she was fully aware that she had just breached a serious matter of etiquette by approaching the nest of a dragon. To make matters worse, she hadn’t just encroached upon a nest, but it was the nest of Aesulla’s very own titan; his mate notwithstanding. Haste however, was not in the cards for Teagan as standing up and moving away quickly was just not a viable prospect. Despite her desire to walk towards the medical tent under her own power, it had become clear that Teagan was not capable of the task without assistance. The knowledge found room to fester and nag at the back of her mind as reality came crashing down upon Teagan. And then the egg cracked. Teagan braced herself for a well deserved death before feeling the tug of the technology egg upon the bloody stump that used to be her left arm. True, she could still die, but this was not what she had anticipated as the egg itself opened up rather than shattered from the impact of her body against it. As she remained there, trapped and unable to slip away, Teagan did her best to stay aware of her surroundings. There was a small gasp of pain at the jab from what she could only assume was the hatching. Before long however, blissful disassociation from the pain settled in. It was there, yes, but for the moment it seemed to belong to someone else while lingering slightly to the left. Tired and dehydrated, it was only the whirring and tinkering that kept Teagan awake during the unexpected procedure. She was too sore to startle when more of the technology egg’s arms extended to measure her surviving limb. Sensation returned that was almost identical in some ways to what she had before and, within the hour, the shell opened with a guttering of steam to allow Teagan to move away. The mechanical, draconic limb that took the place of her previously fleshy appendage left Teagan in a near state of shock as she assessed the change. When attempting to flex the taloned fingers did not take overly much effort she nearly startled away from the new limb, ignoring the fact that it was quite thoroughly attached. Still, she couldn’t quite help herself as she looked towards the egg. “You have...excellent taste in colors.” She managed. “I’m not sure “thank you quite covers the gift you have bestowed upon me.” With a slight flinch, Teagan turned her attention to the Aesullan titan before giving an almost reverent nod. “Yes sir. I will do so.” She confirmed before looking towards the pink fire dragon. She wanted to say something, to apologize profusely, but Ciosa didn’t look to be much better than she herself felt. Perhaps a later time. Now would not do well to draw the dragoness’ ire. At Ida’s cautious approach, Teagan turned to look up. She did her best not to move the new arm as she carefully move to her feet. “I’m okay, but we should still head to the medical tent….that was not at all what i expected to happen.” she ran her right hand through her hair in a nervous gesture, ignoring the fact that she had swiped more blood through it. Red was red; she doubted many would notice. Seeing Rurik nearby and unharmed was a much needed balm as Teagan watched him place the small offering by the technology egg. Once he was finished, she carefully pulled her sibling into a one armed hug. “It’s a good thing I stopped when I did. If we were moving any faster I might not have a brother anymore.” Teagan didn’t mean to scare Rurik as she made the observation, but she did hug him a little tighter before working the dead fingers of her former arm out of his grasp. She didn’t want to think of how long he’d be carrying it around in his nightmares. “You did good...but I think I need to sit before I fall again.” she ruffled his hair with blood stained fingertips before continuing at a much slower pace to the medical tent. This time however, she found a proper seat. Her misadventures with the titan’s children well and finished for the time being. With her actual arm strewn across her lap, Teagan waited for assistance, wavering in and out of a drugged lapse in attention and physical exhaustion. |

Anviel Veyanir, Candidate Tag: Approaching Yggdrassil's eggs, Lysander When Anviel departed her dorm, Genzai was still asleep. She felt conflicted as she left; she did not want to leave without first informing the tragendire of where she was going, but she did not want to awaken him for an event that he would not be permitted to attend, either. He will know, she decided. Every other candidate was away at the touching, and the tragendire would not have any reason to be concerned. Anviel was undeniably grateful to have the chance to bond with a creature before she stood on the sands in hopes of bonding with a dragon. Her bond with Genzai, of course, was valuable for more than the experience that it offered, but it was invaluable to first bond with a kind, calm soul like he was. It was, as always, awe-inspiring to step onto the sands where so many generations of dragons had hatched. Anviel scanned the crowd for the face of her brother and his dragon, knowing that they would not miss this event. Mid-step, Anviel felt the strangest thing, briefly forgetting what she had been doing, feelingly as though she had been here before. She stopped, briefly, shaking her head as if to clear it, when she heard the words. "Hello, young ones..." As so many around her also did, Anviel turned to listen to the time... titan? She certainly looked the size of a Titan. She searched her thoughts for any previous mention of a time titan, perhaps something they had taught in class or that her brother had mentioned. As the Titan spoke, many around Anviel clearly wore expressions of disappointment, concern. Anviel herself did not look nearly so worried, but a gnawing feeling of anxiety rose in her gut. Once again, she shook her head, calming herself. Whatever happens, happens. Undoubtedly, she was concerned about what the time Titan said. Her own bond could be upon these sands, and what if it was one of the ones taken? Still, it was not her place to judge the actions of time dragons nor of Titans, much less both. Anviel would trust this Titan- "Your destinies await you, and greatness is not lost"- if it applied to her, she would see in time, if not, there was no reason to fret. "When the time is right and the crystal flowers bloom, you will be called upon by dragonkind." How poetic. Anviel's first order of business was to fetch a pair of heat-resistant gloves from the hatchery assistants, to carry around with her as she moved from nest to nest. The Aesullan native first visited a nest tended by a Fire mother and a Fire/Sound father, who were veteran parents and willing to let her touch their eggs with little drama. Her next stop was a nest tended by a single Forest mother, who was much more hesitant, but welcomed the nesting material that Anviel offered. She was very careful- perhaps too careful- to stick to eggs that she knew were safe, even avoiding nests with eggs that seemed questionable. She had not come so far to let herself be killed by her own stupidity, so close to acheiving the dream she had had for so long. There was a commotion with the massive seraphic egg that commanded so much attention, perched high in the hatchery, although Anviel did not notice the candidate beside the egg. Images in glass flashed across the ceiling, commanding attention and stopping Anviel in her tracks. Guilty was written below the most prominent image, of an egg being pierced with a spear. Anviel hoped, silently, that such atrocities had never happened, that no one could ever think of such a thing, but her instincts said otherwise. Still, she could not draw her eyes away, and she stood transfixed as the light came from the clouds, in a moment that seemed to last both a second and an eternity. Had that been a person there? When it was over, once again, Anviel felt the strangest feeling of déja vu, and something seemed to have changed, even if she did not understand what. Briefly, the elf wondered what would happen if she touched that egg. Would it judge her, like it judged the acts in the images? She pushed the thought away. It's best not to risk it, she told herself. Don't concern yourself with such things. Still, it lingered, the curiosity, the desire to reach out and touch the fire. Anviel scanned the grounds once again, looking for a nest that did not seem terribly busy or home to particularly dangerous eggs. Her eyes caught on a dais, upon which a glorious life dragon rested, accompanied by two beautiful eggs. They looked safe enough, and as Anviel took a few steps towards it, recognition hit. Yggdrassil... That life dragon was none other than the great Life Titan of Lomira, she had to be, judging from the massive nest and the grandeur of the dais. Can I? Anviel dared to wonder, stopping in her tracks. There was really no reason why she couldn't, was there? The Life Titan was a mother on the sands like all the others, surely other candidates had tried to approach her eggs. As Anviel approached the dais, she noticed a man standing beside the Titan, and a dog. Anviel was nervous, perhaps more nervous than she had ever been, and a flurry of thoughts ran through her mind. Am I interrupting something? Sweet Celestial, I hope... She cleared the thoughts from her mind and began to calm herself down. Anviel dropped to her knees in what was perhaps a display of excess formality. "Oh Lady Yggdrassil, and you, sir, I do hope I am not interrupting..." she said. "I was wondering, mi'lady, if you would permit me to touch your eggs, and fetch any nesting materials that you may require..." She trailed off, her voice shaking, anxious. ((I just checked my email an hour or so ago and it appears I'm a bit late to the party, so please do tell me if I missed any important details! I tried to look closely at all details relevant to what I posted, but I ended up having to skim a lot of what I missed.)) |

Candidate Aletheia Tag: Seraphic Egg Having a candidate shove in front of her in the presence of such an egg was not something that Aletheia was expecting. She kept her balance but stayed down on one knee as the offending candidate demanded to touch the egg. She understood the look the Seraph mother sent her way and was not offended when permission was given to Snyder first. Judging from what she had seen of the girl during classes denying her demand would only result in unpleasant interactions. She would be lying if she wouldn’t have been pleased to see the mother put the girl in her place but it was not her place to judge. It was apparently, the eggs place to do so. As soon as Snyders hand touched the shell of the great egg everything seemed to change. A breeze she hadn’t noticed earlier died away and the buzzing white noises of various drones and machinery died into whispers. It was as if the world was holding its breath she watched with wondering eyes as the shell began to glow, soon a wash of colors coated the world, herself included. Images shone upon the ceiling depicting vibrant stained glass images and symbols. One particular image depicted a human thrusting a spear into an egg, words blazing red beneath it read Guilty. She may not understand the true meaning of the image but she understood enough that the whispered rumors behind Snyders past bonds held a darker reason for their demise than just incompetency and an inflated ego. The thought that a person could utilize dragonkind in such a way infuriated the elf, she doubted Snyder would find herself still a candidate after this touching Aletheia thought as the girl was pushed away from the egg, its floating armor locked into place around the shell. Her guess was true, in a way, though carried out in a fashion she could not have expected. As Snyder stood there it seemed as if she was stuck there, unable to move away from the egg, her body rigid in fear. A stance Aletheia as a hunter could recognize in an instant. The next instant filled her vision with light so bright, so close to her she instantly went temporarily blind and she wondered deaf as nothing could be heard. As soon as it arrived the light was gone and with its absence her sight and hearing returned along with the breath she had not realized she had been holding. In front of her no longer stood Snyder, the candidate that had been just a few feet away was completely gone. The only thing she could see was a slightly darker patch of sand where the girl had been standing. Realization that she had been struck down with the light of heaven at the eggs behest put some things into perspective that had previously been out of reach for her to make. Oh how she had been right about the feeling she had earlier, if the egg found fault with her indeed there would be no escaping it. Realizing she was still kneeling where she had been upon requesting admission to touch the egg and it had now been given to her the elf stood looking up to the mother as if confirming it was now her turn. Unease filled her as she walked to the great egg unsure what would happen to her after witnessing what happened to the candidate before her. She did not know what the Seraph Egg would base its judgement upon but she was sure she would soon find out. Reaching the egg she bowed to it, placing the Holy Symbol she had chosen earlier at the base of the egg among the other holy objects around it. It seemed to her as if the items laying here would become more holy after exposure to such an egg than it was to help create a suitable nest for the egg. Such an egg would surely purify any place it rested upon. Drawing in a deep breath she stood with straightened back and reached out with her hand. “I hope I have the strength to accept the verdict of your judgement, and the will to change myself accordingly.” Crystal Titan Araselnasaa Treyu Tag: Averon, mention of Rhoan Her nest had been quite busy throughout the touching, much like the other Titans’ were though perhaps a bit more so. This was her first major event and as the newest Titan along with Thalron and ruler of a new country she had quite the number of people come to her nest. She enjoyed talking with them all, watching them interact with her eggs and ask her questions. One had even plucked up enough courage to ask who the absent sire of her eggs were. Though their question had gone unanswered she had gifted their bravery with a beautiful crystalline creation to take with them instead. After the events of the Seraph egg the candidates were noticeably more on edge and began to favor the smaller nests. She lounged comfortably as Synivox conversed with someone about necessary changes to building placements, Inquebrável standing rigid by her bondeds side a protective force no matter where the Empress would go. The giant Crystal looked out across the sands seeing Rhoan with the Centaurs and rumbling happily at the sight of the young girl. She sent Rui’Shiar a message to pass on to his rider that Rhoan was more than welcome to bring the centaurs to her nest. She was very fond of the young princess that meant so much to Synivox and was pleased at her help befriending the people who allowed them to build upon their land and join forces. Her vision was caught by a candidate approaching, Averon he introduced himself as, requesting to touch her egg. A light chiming laugh could be heard coming from Ara as he commented upon the crumbling shell of the eggs. ”Do not be alarmed by the appearance of the eggs Averon. They are quite safe despite their most outer shell.” |

Giant Seraphic egg Tag: Aletheia The floating armor of the egg slowed as she approached it in reverence, slowly fanning out above and partially behind her as it had with the priest who had been the first to approach. It felt calm, peaceful, and serene. the shell glowed as she touched it, and energy pulsed out as if to the rhythm of speech. It lasted longer than before, and her body seemed to glow more faintly than the others, but it too soon ended without much disturbance. No holy fire, she wasn't shoved away or stuck to it. A good number of dragons and people nearby let out a sigh of relief as no one was incinerated. To Aletheia the egg no longer seemed to be boring a hole into her head with its unseen gaze, instead it radiated an aura of power and serenity. It felt more solid than any of the other things here, a certainty of some sort that while slightly unnerving no longer seemed dangerous... At least to her. There was nothing more it had to say to her at this time, though the same could not be said for the others present. Did anyone else fear judgement? What had they done that would deserve the same fate as Snyder? It knew a few had something to hide, and many should worry, but most of those were not among the candidates. Averon Tag: Ara He was probably just about as worried for the eggs safety as his own when he asked that question, but it equated to the same thing really. He also would rather not have a titan annoyed at him if one of the eggs looked weird or something after he poked at it. He shrugged after she said it was safe, and walked closer. Carefully he touched the one that was split down the side revealing several layers of blue crystal, though he touched along the edge of the split rather than the exposed crystal. He thought that seemed a bit more appropriate for some reason. "They're very pretty, hopefully it wasn't this spiky coming out." He commented as he gestured to the one that had crystal shards protruding from it. He walked over to that one next and eyed it, carefully placing his palm along the shell near to the crystals, though he nearly jumped back when some of the stone slid free at his touch, he glanced at a few small fragments of the material in his hand and could tell even a strong breeze would have done so... Thankfully. He stepped back and glanced at Araselnasaa again, having to look pretty far straight up to really look at anything other than her feet. He was about to say something to her when a large shard of crystal fell off the egg and nearly landed on him, he stepped to the side even though it wouldn't have hit anyways, then watched as the piece rolled over and bumped into his feet. "Uhm... Is that for me..?" He asked as he furrowed his brow and looked at the egg, then back up at Ara questioningly, he didn't want to just take part of the egg or whatever this was, but it definitely had seemed thrust at him. He wasn't sure he could even carry it in his human form... Come to think of it, the last crystal egg he'd been to had put a circlet of crystal flowers on his head, did something just make him appealing to crystal dragons? |

Candidate Aletheia Tag: Braelyn, mention Minerva It took her a moment after the egg ceased to glow and resumed its normal appearance to mentally come fully back to her body. She stood there gasping her gaze lost as her mind tried to comprehend the feelings and emotions that had gone through her. To understand the voice that had spoken to her and the judgement that had been passed. Orphiel. High Judge of the Heavens, she felt he must be the holiest thing to touch this earth since Selhanzilael left it. And he had deemed her innocent, capable of being welcomed into heaven, allowed to gaze upon the Celestial TItan herself. If only she was true to herself. But what did that mean? She brought her hand away from the egg realizing she was still standing there, awkwardly stepping away as if her body forgot how to move, and bowed to the egg and its mother her eyes still looking as if they gazed at something far away. She noticed no one as she began her walk back down the great pillar the Seraph egg had crowned. She was lost in her own thoughts, her mind a raging vortex. She had always been a wanderer her whole life not really having a purpose rather than learning more about her skill with shapeshifting and spirit element. Orphiel had opened a realization within her and she wasn’t quite sure how answer it. What did it mean to remain true to herself? Perhaps she would find that answer upon these sands soon enough. She had reached the bottom of the pillar and gazed around her looking as if she wondered how she had gotten there. She might not be able to answer these questions swirling in her mind but there was something else she had been counseled to do, something she had planned to do after the touching but, well lets say having your soul judged by a seraph tended to inspire one to do things a little sooner. Looking around the sands she spotted the centaur she was looking for, right where she had seen her last. She hadn’t meant for the egg to crack, truly she had been just as surprised as everyone else, though considerably less worried knowing the true nature of the egg. The Illusion dragon Aphelion had found to create a lifelike egg seemed to be quite the prankster themselves. She remembered that she hadn’t mentioned her dragon form to any of the candidates thus far. Perhaps the centaur would think that form had been cast by the Illusion dragon as well… She approached Braelyn and her companion Minerva nodding her head in greeting. “I apologize for the situation I placed you in earlier Braelyn. It had not been my intent for the egg to crack and I realize leaving you with what seemed to be a real cracked egg was not pleasant in the slightest. I had been curious about the point of view a dragon had at a Touching though it seems the Illusion dragon I had requested to help me had a rather mischievous streak. I understand if you can not forgive me but please accept my apology.” |

Faerveren; tag Maksim, Tonare, Garboil. Fae grinned at Maksim, pleased by the compliment. She didn't need the ego boost, of course, and was well aware of her own talents, but it always felt nice to have your abilities recognized by another person of the cloth, so to speak. "Sure, that'd be great," she answered. "Maksim, right? You know, if you're up for it we should totally work on a collaboration. I bet we could put on one hell of a show." It was an honest enough offer, and one that she intended to speak with him about later. For now, Fae seemed to have attracted the attention of both the dragons currently guarding this nest. The offer to touch the egg was tempting and one that she fully intended to accept, but the other offer... that she definitely had not expected. Immediately she could hear her manager squawking in the back of her head about propriety, about what it might do for her ratings, oh jeez what if people thought she was weird or a deviant or, or... The smile on her face turned slightly feral, and she glanced from Garboil to Maksim briefly. Four way with two dragons and a famed classical singer? The cameras were waiting, and Fae wasn't one to keep her fans in suspense. "Sure, I'd be down for that." Immediately, immediately, the comm unit in her pocket started to vibrate against her thigh. Fae had a pretty good idea of who was calling her, but as far as she was concerned her manager could go fuck himself. He'd gotten her into this mess, and she was going to make the best of it. Cracking her knuckles, she then reached out to lightly strum her fingers over the strings that lined the Fire egg before placing a hand against the smooth surface of the shell. "I'm more a guitar girl myself..." ------ Marcus; tag Ostoglos, Narcida? Marcus was tired. The fake egg he could have handled. That was fine. Braelyn might be in a bit of shock for a while but at least she wasn't hurt. Now, however, the Seraph egg had apparently vaporized someone. On top of that, Teagan was sans a flesh and blood arm (though it looked like the Tech egg was taking care of that) and there was blood all over the place. Himself included; his once pristine assistant's uniform was now missing both belt and overcoat, and his pants and undershirt were garishly red with the arterial blood Tegan had spurted all over them. His hands were a mess as well, and he was just... Tired. Agrius was a worried presence in the back of his mind but the Tragendire kit thankfully stayed where he was. The last thing Marcus needed was to be worrying about where he was at. With a sigh and an aborted gesture that would have swiped a bloody hand through his hair, he rose to his feet and trudged over to the water's edge. The pool was a grand, large affair, and thankfully there was enough room between nests that he was able to approach the beach surrounding it without encroaching on any wary mother dragons. Crouching down (and with a wary eye in the vague direction of where that one monstrous water dragon had her nest), Marcus began to slowly wash the blood from his hands and arms, the water tinging pink as he did so. ------ Zemal; tag Life egg, Talh/Seraph egg. As the heat spread through him Zemal felt the tension slowly beginning to bleed from his body. It was a relief to have it gone, to feel some of his worries slip away in the wash of that oh so familiar comfort. And it had been a comfort, hadn't it? Walking through the Garden was not an event he remembered without recalling a certain amount of peace and happiness, even if his mortal body rejected the notion of having to die to get there again. Maybe he was overthinking things. There was a great deal of self-doubt within him and a sense of unworthiness for the position he'd been thrust into. None of this was within his ability to control, but the way he responded to it, the way that others perceived his actions... maybe that was the key. A sense of chagrin built within him that he'd been worried about this egg and its inhabitant-- And then there was an explosion, a concussive blast that made Zemal jerk away from the Life egg in surprise. Immediately Ramahendra was by his side, the gryphon's wings spread as a solar shield flared up around the Prince, but it was short lived once they both discovered the source of the event. "You are NOT going up there." Ramahendra's response was instantaneous as he sensed his bonded's wayward thoughts. Already much of the large crowd around the base of the tower had dispersed, fear replacing the earlier sense of awe and wonderment that most felt toward the Seraph egg. "Do you think I'm in danger of getting blown up?" Zemal asked in return, stepping around the gryphon to peer up at the titanic egg. In truth, he wasn't exactly keen on approaching it himself if it liked blowing people up; Celestial knew he had more than his fair share of baggage. But perhaps if he faced his own uncertainties he might be able to move past them, to try and find out just where and how he fit into the life he'd been so suddenly thrust into. "Of course not," Ramahendra replied, sounding exasperated. "But we have no idea how or why that thing comes by its decisions and I would really rather not risk it." "All life is a risk, Ramahendra." Zemal was already stepping forward, his pace quickening, his stride calmer and more sure than he himself felt. His heart was pounding with a sickening sense of dread, because sometimes, some things were best left undiscovered. But like it or not he was a Prince now, and there were going to be important decisions resting on his shoulders in the future. Better to know now if he was worthy to deal with them or if he was already doomed to fail. He climbed the stairs quickly, Ramahendra but a step behind him, slowing only once he was standing before the giant egg. "Lady Talherahiel," he said, offering the Seraph a bow and trying valiantly to ignore the strangely shadowed sand that was all that remained of Snyder. "I come before you and humbly request permission to touch your egg." |

Lysander to Yggdrasil The air felt warmer around him as Yggdrasil tucked her great head closer toward him. "Peace, love," She uttered, and his stomach immediately filled with nervous butterflies. He might have laughed had the situation still not felt so dire, especially with what appeared to be a grievous accident happening amongst the Candidates. His face reddened, though he made no effort to conceal it. Her presence was suitably distracting, the softness of the feathers on her face pressing against his cheek. He leaned into her, face against her feathers, warm and comforting and soft. She was glorious, wasn't she? And when she spoke, he couldn't help but feel humbled and a touch embarrassed. It wasn't like him to be hysterical, nor to forget the teachings he so readily preached to others. Part of him found it surprising that Yggdrasil herself knew the verse, but surely dragons (especially dragons) had a fine appreciation for faith. He knew the verse she quoted very well, as it was one he often used when speaking to others. 'Be not afraid, for there is a goodness in your heart.' There was goodness everywhere, even if it was buried deeply. There was a spark of it somewhere in everyone, he was sure, if only there was an opportunity to find it, build upon it, and let it spread. What this Candidate has done was beyond horrible, and even Lysander might have agreed that such acts made someone irredeemable-- In an inisital assessment, at least. But his role was to help others seek redemption even when it was difficult to do so, and especially when it was difficult to do so. Yggdrasil was right, and yet... "I am deeply sorry she made those choices," He said at last. "And I regret that she was not given the opporunity to choose differently. Perhaps she would have never come around. I suppose it's not for me to decide." There were so many signs that this egg, this giant, Seraphic egg, was so much more than anyone realized. The longer he thought on it, the more his heart began to race. The visions, the writing, the sudden appearance of so many seraphic dragons. Who was he to question the egg's judgement? He glanced away from it, disquiet and humbled, mind fluttering with questions. Yggdrasil draped her wings over them, and her warm, gentle voice spoke again. It was a welcomed intrusion to his worries, and he listened eagerly. An offered opportunity to discuss scripture made him take in his breath, and some of the tension immediately left his shoulders. Yes. That sounded like a good option. "My lady," He murmured, and boldly wrapped one arm gently around her head, hand against golden scales. "I would be honored. I apologize for my worry," He added. He shut his eyes and took a deep breath. "I must continue my duties," He added. "I would be honored if you would allow me to bless your eggs." |

Ostoglos Tag: Marcus It was impossible to miss the giant monstrosity of the sea maggot dragon, or leviathan as some called her lounging in the large pool that lead out to the bay. She practically took up a third of the giant thing, and was surrounded, albeit not too closely, by other nests that were much more nervous after her arrival. She hadn't done anything to them, or at least... Not much. A thing or two was good for character, and who didn't like a random giant fish spat at them, or having the great beast rejuvenate the water around them so helpfully(by spewing pure water on them). It was a positive blessing she had been there, and only one dragon had been forced into her jaws this season and not emerged! It was largely agreed that he deserved it, and that had more or less been the end of it. One thing that everyone knew though, was that she was ALWAYS hungry, she somehow kept a small supply of fish to pelt people with, but if any food that didn't originate from the sea came within snatching distance people tended to vanish for a minute or two before being spat back out. ...More or less intact. She had been watching the goings on with great amusement, watching the little people flail and squeak and shriek, the blinding light was oddly nice to her and she thought she heard something on the other side of it... But it was pretty far from her. Then there was the scent of blood, and she spotted a young one armed girl that looked well on her way to becoming a pirate until that tech fixed her up. The great beast could have easily healed the candidate, but no one had asked and it would have required actual /effort/ at that distance. She nearly groaned at the thought of it. Then thinking about it, she did groan and languidly 'collapse' into a pile of blubber, eyes, and weird shaped mouth parts. A little bit of water spraying from her jaws at Narcida, Valyss and Painovoima in a dramatic attempt to show them how BORED she was. It had been almost five minutes since the last explosion of activity, and she wanted to go swimming, and to do... SOMETHING! Her body reformed into whatever resembled normal for her as she righted herself, and her head turned slowly as she scented blood approaching. Marcussss... It was an assistant that seemed oh-so-helpful all the time! He amused her with his running around, and ability to not act like a chicken with its head cut off... No, instead he acted like a chicken vainly attempting to run between different foxes. He was coming over here now though! She was literally drooling as she smelled the blood and peered at him as he was obviously planning to wash it off, which in her mind, would be a monumental waste. She rarely ate humanoids anymore, and surely he would appreciate her help in ridding himself of such nasty(tasty) person-blood. She of course, did not ask for his opinion on the matter. The first sign of something being wrong was a sudden shadow that spread over him, but the next one was perhaps even more worrying when a red light seemed to vaguely glow about him. Not bright, but perhaps like what you might find on a dimly lit sea warning of rocks. Or, in this case, a horrifying beast full of hellish teeth and nightmares. For a moment her jaws looked like a flower of horrific teeth above him, with a bright glowing tongue amidst the forest of fangs, but as the many jaws passed by him on all sides, then began to pull together the teeth seemed to sink down into her flesh. The now 'toothless' jaws gripping him tightly as her head swung back up and left only a small, and temporary void of water where he had been standing. She was fast, faster than it looked like she should be for her size, but not like lightning. It hardly mattered though, the gape of her jaws was far wider than the distance he could hope to cover in the amount of time given. Several full grown dragons had emerged from her jaws for the laying, however Marcus, as many people probably put it, was going in the wrong direction. Her faceted face briefly squished smaller as she handled him in her jaws, sliding him between her tongue and a portion maw, one side strangely soft and squishy while the other one was slick with occasional roughness. A dull red light made the whole thing a bit more visceral and likely frightening for him as she sat there looking pleased with herself. The trip was not exactly... Short for him, as he could feel the rapidly widening of her inner jaws, it didn't seem like she intended to stop his descent any time soon either. Few had such a close view of her inner workings as he did, and not too far before him was the gargantuan throat of the beast. Several more tendrils of some sort, tipped with glowing lights were slowly moving just beyond the entrance of it, their colors fading between green and blue steadily. At first they seemed rather small, but he soon realized they were much longer than he was tall. They also appeared to be the only things in there that might offer some resistance or stop his descent to the very guts of the beast. When he managed to snag one though, he'd soon find it wrapped about him as well in an almost entirely reflexive action. Curling around his body in a terribly tight grip before slowly relaxing a bit. Enough that the life wasn't crushed out of him, but not enough that he could slip free either. It was strangely soft, slick, and squishy to the touch, but when it flexed gained an almost sand paper like surface and seemed harder than rock. This was definitely more sea monster than dragon that had captured him. Narcida complained a bit about Glos snatching Marcus, and told her not to chew up the assistant, about the same time that the poor man was grabbed. Of course, this illicit what appeared to be the opposite of the request to those on the outside. As the great beast spoke, "Hurhurh.. Cheh-ehw? HMMmmmMmnngh!" her speech gurgled, oddly and she had a bit of trouble forming her jaws into the right shapes for her words. "Meh-beh oh leh-tle..." she said then very obviously chewed something in her jaws. Her voice was perhaps even harder to decipher for the one stuck in her jaws, but at least the 'chewing' was well above and away from Marcus. Her teeth seemed to extend and contract in a semi rhythmic motion, causing a terrible scraping sound as a few ran across each other. As if she were chewing something within her jaws. To him though, a clearer but very strained sounding mental voice seemed to eek into his senses. It was amused, and it was... Hungry? Or perhaps bored, it was hard to pinpoint its tone as it filtered out to him -Want a... Place to... Reeeeest? HEh-ehHEh-eh. Lo-ook tire...Red.- it didn't sound malevolent, but that was really the only slightly reassuring thing about it. |

Yggdrasil to Lysander & Anviel The Life Titan slowly lifted her head after he had finished speaking, being as careful as she could be not to knock the fragile man down with her giant facial-feathers. She nodded to him, dipping her head to signify that he could now approach the eggs, and bless them- since Zemal had finished with his almost ritual task of greeting the eggs here. With a heavenly serene grace, her head arched like a swan, body laying like a resting but powerful lion, she observed the girl that had just been brave enough to step forward and seek council with the Titan and her eggs. Yggdrasil dipped her head to the newcomer and crooned a soft note, "You interrupt nothing, my dear Anviel Veyanir. You may approach, and commune with my eggs, as soon as the Honored Lysander has finished his blessing of the eggs." She considered a moment, then purred. "If you wish to bring them nesting materials, tokens will do. The hatching assistants have lain out many objects and tokens that candidates may choose from. These eggs might enjoy offerings of gold and silver, objects etched or engraved with the holy regalia, bearing visage of Enochiel and Selhanzilael, for instance." She explained, the patience of a mother upon her face. Once this objective had been set for the candidate, she turned her attention to the eggs once more, not wishing to miss Lysander's blessing over them, an audible feline purr issuing from her. Resting in the crook of her arm still was the silent Empress Alistiana, whom had, in recent years, grown more distant from the world around her. ==================== Tahl to Zemal The First Mortal Seraphic had had very little traffic in the way of visitors, even before the great egg had found a candidate guilty of a heinous crime. She was about to answer the Prince, whom had found his way up to her lofty perch, when a small distraction made itself known. An entirely black illusion dragon had hopped down from her branching horns with a small sweep and bin, and was literally sweeping the ashes and soot and burnt sand away from the place where Snyder had once stood. The great egg sat in a large pit filled with sand, mostly to keep it from tipping or rolling off the cliff. Luckily it also made sweeping up the unfortunate failures easy, too. When he was done with this task, he darted back over to Tahl and vanished again. The Seraph cleared her throat and started again, "Greetings, Prince Zemal. You are quite welcome to visit my egg. May your mind be clear, and your heart open." She dipped her head, offering her simple blessing to the man. Ahmduar to those near him, booking it for the Seraph Egg, ignoring the elevator too. The overexcited little Centaur had been so preocupied with touching various eggs that the prior explosion of light had startled him quite bad. So much so, in fact, that while he struggled to catch his breath and watch the horrors unfold at a completely different nest, he missed what had actually caused the light and what had happened there. Instead, he seemed quite intent on heading directly towards the Seraph egg. "Come on, Rhoan! Let's go see that giant egg up on the cliff!" he said with vast enthusiasm, taking off in that direction with the speed of youth- much to the dismay of literally every other centaur there. He hoofed it up the stairs- Likely about when Rhoan caught up with him, since he had to be careful on such hoof-traps as stairs. By the time he got to the top, he and Rhoan were side by side, waiting patiently for the Seraph to finish speaking to Zemal. When she was, and turned her attention to them, Ahmduer bravely spoke up, his fluffy young coat puffed up. "Allo, Ma'am, er- Lady Tahl...! My name is Ahmduer and I'd be honored iffin' you'd let us touch your pretty egg together,..." he asked, shuffling his hooves a little as he stumbled over words from sudden shyness half way through. The Seraph looked rather amused and understanding, sensing much about the young Centaur Prince. For one, being a great healer as well as warrior, she could feel the sickness and weakness deep within the otherwise cheery-faced creature. She didn't even mind that he'd brought a non candidate friend, this too, she understood. Support of a friend in such times was always good, after all. "Of course you both may visit my child. Just wait there a moment, and you can touch it as soon as Zemal has finished." |

Crystal Titan Araselnasaa Treyu Tag: Averon His comment about the egg caused the Titan to laugh again, "No but it did give Synivox a heart attack when it was laid. At first it was just as stony as you see now without the pillars of crystal upon it." She was not perturbed when more of the outer shell crumbled away at his touch, indeed much more of the inner shell had been exposed throughout the day at the touching of so many candidates. It would not harm the eggs for they were like Geodes though she knew the true beauty was yet to be seen. One of the crystals falling off was a first landing not far away from the candidate and rolling to a stop before his feet. She had not expected that but could tell the egg was no worse for wear without one of the smaller crystals it had grown. "Perhaps it was meant as a gift, perhaps enough of the outer shell has crumbled away to the point it had not enough support anymore. You may keep it if you like." It had not occurred to her that the crystal might be a bit large for the candidate to carry around for the rest of the touching. He was sure to figure out something. Azarahl Nlaruxan Tag: The Centaur Posse, Seraph Talherahiel, Giant Seraph Egg She flicked her tail in greeting against Basajuan’s flanks as he walked abreast of her as they joined Ahmduer. Despite being tall and lean the hefty centaur was a good foot taller than her at the shoulder, dwarfing the rest of their group. She could sense the change in him since the opening ceremonies, indeed all of them had become more warey since the atrocities against Ahmduer happened. She herself became less outgoing and gave up entirely on making friends and acquaintances that she might have previously created. All her attentions were put towards protecting her brother though she could never fix what she had already broken so long ago. They went from nest to nest touching eggs and getting glimpses of the little souls the resided within. She was beginning to feel relaxed seeing how happy her brother was and the wonder that filled him. It was probably the happiest she had seen him since the opening ceremony and that alone was enough to lighten her spirits and begin to enjoy herself at this event. Her calm was shattered when disaster seemed to strike everywhere at once. Out of the corner of her eye she witnessed one candidates arm get chopped off near where Idazon was but soon her attention was completely focused on what was happening with the Seraph egg, and the candidate that had just touched it. From this distance she couldn’t see who the candidate was but she could most definitely see what happened to them. The Guilty that shone from the sky and the beam of light that proceeded to vaporize the candidate was enough for her to want to grab Ahmduer and end their appearance at this event. They had touched enough eggs, it was time to go. But as she turned around to talk to Ahmduer he was already off heading straight for the enormous pillar all the commotion had just come from. He moved fast but she could run faster immediately catching up to him. “Ahmduer I’m not sure we should go up to that egg, let’s go take a break yeah?” She already knew she wouldn’t be able to convince him to turn away and truthfully she wasn’t worried for his safety upon touching the egg. Ahmduer was the most innocent person she had ever known, he would not get a beam of light to smite him to nothingness. No it was herself she was worried about for her guilt was great. But follow him she did for she had vowed to protect him and had failed so many times in her life. She stood a slight ways away from the Seraph egg as her brother and Rhoan asked to touch it, bowing to the mother Seraph respectfully and stood nervously. |

Livna and Shadow/Floral Heifeiver to Clarra and Mantella The reason no one has approached my eggs,, Heifeiver continued on for the tenth time that day, Is because they're intimidated by me. They know that I could easily tear them apart as soon as look at them, and they're afraid. I'm weeding them out. Only the bravest will approach. It was true that very few people had approached the nest Heifeiver shared with his mate. Privately, Livna was surprised her dragon had managed to snag any sort of mate at all. As charming as Hei believed he was around other dragons, a torrential downpour of snot and sneezing fits were universally disgusting. His nest hardly boasted the largest, most beautiful, or even the most interesting of eggs, and his foul behavior kept anyone who wasn't turned off by his snot face at bay. But, sure. This was done on purpose. All according to the master plan. Whatever. Livna heaved a deep sigh. She'd seen this coming, of course. Heifeiver was her dragon, but even she could admit she would have probably chosen some of the other eggs to visit today. Titan eggs, eggs which played music and eggs which apparently could burn people to a cinder. She herself itched to go inspect some of the other nests. Was it possible for someone to bond to two dragons at once, she found herself wondering? Maybe she could trade. Her dragon appeared to sense her thoughts, joking though they were. He twisted his head in her direction with all the precision of a snake, if a snake was ever covered in downy-looking poof. "What are you thinking?" He demanded. "I know that look." "I was just thinking what a shame it was that Mantella is so close," Livna hummed, sweetening her voice. She knew which oof Heifeiver's buttons to push, and watching him react was far more interesting than sitting around and doing-- Well, more sitting. He'd spent the entire morning heckling her, and this felt like suitable paypack. "I think he might be stealing some of your business," She whispered, as if sharing some important secret. "I mean--" "You don't--!" Heiever began, voice shrill. He stopped mid-sentence to sneeze, black snot covering his front. Livna curled her lip, careful to move out of any sort of splash range. She knew firsthand how quickly it could burn. "Need to tell me. He's a snake!" Heifeiver continued as if there'd been no interruption at all. "He did this on purpose, mark me. Should have known it from the start. " He drew himself up as best as he was able and flexed his narrow wings. The dragon crouched like a cat ready to strike, and instead, launched himself into the air without a further word, leaving his rider coughing on his dust and following as best as she was able. Bastard. He landed in a flurry near the nest Mantella shared with his crystal mate, snapping at the heels of a likely-looking Candidate. No one was going to approach this nest for so long as no one approached his. He stretched his wings and hissed, a sight which might have been menacing if not for the snot still dripping from his nose. "Mantella," The small dragon snarled with every ounce of menace he could muster. "You will pay dearly for this transgression." "Sorry," Livna panted as she reached others, a touch pink-faced from the run. She glanced to Clarra and offered a subtle, graceful shrug of helplessness. She might have incited this, but no one needed to know that. Heifeiver would have likely done it himself sooner or later, at any rate. She simply gave him a little push. "I tried to stop him. He won't have it." "Fight me." Heifeiver declared, oblivious to Livna's conversation. When that didn't receive an immediate response he tilted his head back and screeched. "FIGHT MEEE!" |

Rhoan Tag: Ahm, Azarahl, Talherahiel, Seraphic Egg (mention of Araselnasaa) So much happened on the sands. Beauty of bonding, and the dismay of breaks. Thankfully it was merely a prank when the sandy egg had cracked. The dragon had simply... disappeared after the crack had surfaced, and eventually the illusion had been shattered. Rhoan felt the worst for the little Centaur who'd touched it last... the photographer hadn't had any issues but perhaps his camera would've noticed the illusions? She wasn't necessarily sure, and didn't feel like tracking the blonde down. Besides, something else was about to happen that Rhoan wouldn't have been able to fathom or expect. Guilty. In a bright flash of light, the Candidate that had been standing in front of the Seraphic Egg had been obliterated. Gone. Nothing. Rhoan gulped and stared up at the aftermath. Nothing was left where the person had stood, and yet... life continued on. There was a little bit of commotion around the glass domes Idazon and Teagan had been inside, and the smell of blood soon hit her nose as Teagan was rushed to try and get medical care. Seeing Teagan with a missing arm made her nub hurt. Rhoan absentmindedly placed a hand on the mechanical seam that joined her leg to the prosthetic. The little girl was truly one of the only people that understood what Teagan was about to go through. The hours she was going to have to spend struggling with a start-up prosthetic like she did... Rhoan really felt bad for the girl. Watching Ida put her down did put things into perspective though. At least she'd be able to walk. Still. As Teagan leaned against the egg, Rhoan felt her heart reach out to her. Rhoan's heart wasn't the only thing that reached out to Teagan though. The egg seemed to engulf her wound and technology whirred and stirred. It took Rhoan a second to realize what was going on, but when she put two and two together, her jaw dropped slightly. Her thoughts were confirmed true as soon as Teagan separated herself from the egg with a new arm. Looking down at her leg with slight jealously, it was easy to forget just how different Nondir and Aesulla were. Rhoan would have her surgery soon though, as soon as Ahm was fine without her. Quelling the jealousy, Rhoan replaced it with the happiness that Teagan wouldn't have to suffer like she did. Besides, Teagan was older and knew how to take care of herself. A presence touched her mind, and Rhoan closed her eyes and smiled as the presence of Rui tapped into her thoughts. Looking off to the side, Rhoan saw Rui slip in and sit in some of the high bleachers to stay away from nervous mother dragons. Rui! I miss you! Sorry you can't come down here. What's up? Just observing. My dear sister Araselnasaa welcomes you to her eggs with the centaurs eventually. She reached out to me. Are you having fun? Lots! Ahm is touching eggs and stuff. I missed him, it's been like a month! The communication was short, but Rhoan was pulled back to the group when Ahm suggested to go touch the gigantic Seraphic egg that had just obliterated a candidate. While Rhoan had been open to touching the egg now, she wasn't necessarily sure that this was the best idea now. However, Ahm wasn't about to take any answers as he began to gallop towards the steps to get up to the egg. Couldn't he have at least taken the elevators? Running after him with a wobbly gait, Rhoan tried her best to catch up. Azarahl was probably trying to talk sense into him at this point, but Ahm didn't falter as he started to tackle the steps. Thankfully that took him much longer to do, so Rhoan would be able to catch up. "Sorry, Azarahl... I'll keep an eye on him, *pant pant*" Rhoan wheezed, beginning to run up the stairs. When she reached the peak with Ahm, practically making it up there at the same time, the giant egg loomed over her. One bad step and she'd fall backwards. One rickety switch and she'd fall backwards. It was unnerving, but as they approached the egg, she wasn't worried about the fall but the egg this time. Another candidate, Zemal, was here. Rhoan dipped her head to Talherahiel and the egg while Ahm spoke. She'd sit back and make sure that nothing happened to him while he touche- WE?! Ahm was going to make her touch it too? She wasn't necessarily scared, as she wasn't guilty of being a bad person, but why? She was already bonded. The shock flitted across her face and Rhoan looked up to Talherahiel. "Oh! I didn't know, would it be okay if I touched it? I am already bonded to Rui, but I want Ahm to be comfortable, would your egg mind? I just want to be here for my friend." Rhoan placed a hand on Ahm's side, smoothing down some of his fur. Talherahiel was understanding, so she dipped her head in respect and waited. |

Lysander to Yggdrasil AND the Empress. Also, the Fate and Life eggs. "Thank you," Lysander murmured respectfully as he stepped up to the first egg. Fate eggs were powerful, but nothing could compare to the power felt from the Seraphic egg. That was a relief in its own way, however. He was able to focus on the task at hand, and he spoke the blessing smoothly and confidently. He lightly touched his shawl to the egg's shell and froze immediately after as his mind was assaulted with various visions. That was not unusual for a fate egg, he knew, but it was still startling to witness it firsthand. Nothing made perfect sense, and they were over quickly, leaving him with gentle silence and a throbbing temple. His exhaustion was acute, so much so that he nearly didn't approach the second egg. He did, of course. He refused to disappoint Yggdrasil. Once he was finished here, he'd have time to rest, and time spent with Yggdrasil would offer a perfect opportunity to discuss what the Fate egg revealed. For now, however, he was focused on the Life egg. He stated the blessing, and this time when he touched the egg, something wonderful happened: He felt better. Not just in an emotional sense, although that was true as well. He felt warmer for having touched it, more confident, more stable. What was more amazing as that he felt renewed. The ache in his chest and back were gone, and standing a bit straighter was suddenly easier than before. He could breathe easily, and the lights didn't do as much to hurt his eyes. The priest laughed in delight as he withdrew his hands, stared at them with no small measure of incredulity. "Your egg, it's--!" He began, and quickly moved aside when he realized there was another youngster waiting for their turn. He apologized and moved closer to Yggdrasil, only to make another realization; They weren't alone. He stuttered an apology and bowed low, a feat he wouldn't have been able to accomplish moments before. "Empress!" He gasped. "I'm so, so sorry. I've been terribly rude, no greeting, no nothing. How do you do?" Fate and Life Egg for Lysander Typed by sen Unlike what Prince Zemal had seen when touching the Fate Egg, as Lysander touched it, he was instead shown flashes of images of a time that was not specified, but felt long ago. Flashes of space, a massive ship, visions of the sea, images of temples both known to him and unknown, spanning the world, from deep Below to High above. Time spiraled outward again, and to him, and hinted at great armies amassed, flashes of battle, horrific but justified. Flashes similar to Zemal's visions carried out, an expanse of peace...The shadow of the unknown, perhaps a great danger, but light in the darkness heralded by song echoed outward in ripples. The hope for salvation lay within this light. There was clarity there that perhaps the Prince had not felt, under his anxieties. * * * Once Lysander moved on to the Life Egg, a curious thing happened. It reached outward physically with the flowers and vines along it and curled delicately flowered vines about his hands and arms, that ever present scent of the sacred garden beyond life flowing over him. There was a sense that, if it had wanted to, it could have healed every ounce of disease within him, but did not. There was purpose in heaven's design, but it did not mean that he had to suffer. Instead, the flowers glowed, and let their energy radiate through the man, giving him energy, making him feel better, at least for now. The egg did not speak to him directly, but he did feel that, so long as the flowers lasted after he left, he would feel more energized and able to move about. Perhaps a few days, until the flowers wilted. But even then, they could be kept or even ground into tea, allowing for a little more time, to help relieve some of the pain over time. It was no cure-all, but a kindness granted to him for his blessing of it. |

Anviel Veyanir Tag: Yggdrasil, Fate Egg, Life Egg, Lysander The great Titan still seemed to have her attention on the man, and Anviel waited patiently for any response that she may be given. In all honesty, she would be more than happy as long as Yggdrasil allowed her to live, although the elf did not actually expect that the Life Titan would want to kill anyone. Then, the Titan turned her head to look at Anviel, and distinctly, the young candidate was keenly aware of how tiny she was. How insignificant she was, compared to this beautiful, majestic, most amazing creature that was sprawled out before her. Distinctly, she realized, she was as a lamb among lions, a mere mortal among so many creatures that had existed for aeons upon aeons, far more than Anviel could even fathom. Titans, seraphs, so many more, all here, all now. She was but a blink of an eye in ages upon ages of existence, in the same room as immortals, in the same room as those who had lain eyes upon the Celestial Herself. Yet still, for just a moment, the great Life Titan turned her eyes to Anviel. How many other candidates had kneeled here, before Yggdrasil, just like Anviel was now? How many were just as scared, just as uncertain as she was? Then, the Titan began to speak, her voice calm and beautiful and so kind. "You interrupt nothing..." She was gentler, kinder than either the Fire parents or the Forest mother that Anviel had already approached, and the elf's heart skipped a beat when the dragon said her name, her full name. The great Titan was even so kind as to give specific instructions as to what her eggs would want for nesting material. Anviel stood up again, no longer kneeling, and looked at the man more closely. A priest, she recognized, dressed in his formal attire. In fact, he looked to be the same priest who had blessed the candidates earlier in the Touching ceremony. Yggdrasil had said that Anviel could touch- or rather, "commune" with her eggs after Lysander had finished blessing them. Obviously the man had to be Lysander, but Anviel wasn't sure how he would take to her watching. While Anviel had great respect for the Celestial and her Consort, of course, she had never paid much attention to the organized part of religion, to priests and the Selhanzian Order and the like. The elf was certainly not planning on inadvertently disrupting the blessing of a Titan's eggs. Instead, she nodded slowly and respectfully to the priest and the Titan, and quietly excused herself to fetch the materials that Yggdrasil had spoken of. On the walk down, the great seraphic egg caught Anviel's eye again, and she took a moment to stare at it. It looked like more people were going over to it now, presumably to touch it. A thousand possibilities ran through Anviel's mind, and she was desperately curious. What would happen? The egg had such a presence, and it scared Anviel far more than the prospect of addressing a Titan. At the same time, it did not seem to be malevolent. She knew her curiosity was foolish, that it was dangerous. It's that danger that's fueling it, Anviel thought. I want to touch it and see what happens. Stupid, so stupid. She knew, however, the stupid risks were what brought her here. It was a stupid risk to sign up to become a candidate after what happened in Nondir. It was a stupid risk to go help the centaur prince during the opening ceremonies. Perhaps it was a stupid risk to ask Yggdrasil if she could touch her eggs. What was one more stupid risk on top of it all? Anviel had arrived at the nearest array of nesting materials, only a short walk away, and she kneeled down to search for items that matched what Yggdrasil had mentioned. Gold and silver. Anviel took a coin in her hand and flipped it over, searching for any holy engravings. It took a few minutes before she found a group of coins that fit that description, three with images of Selhanzilael and two of her consort. Some more searching in the same area produced scraps of fabric with holy designs and a decorative bronze plate engraved with the image of several seraphs, a scene that Anviel did not recognize. While the fabric was not gold or silver, it was certainly holy, and hopefully would work for Yggdrasil's eggs. The elf used the plate to carry the rest of the items, weighing down the fabric with the coins. On the walk back, Anviel wondered if perhaps Yggdrasil's eggs might be Seraphic. They both appeared to possess halos, and holy tokens as nesting materials only emphasized that possibility. The word "commune" was interesting, too- Anviel supposed that that was what she would be doing by touching an egg, and perhaps it was reading too much into it, but it was not the word she would've expected. One of them looked like a Fate egg, but that element hadn't been covered extensively in class, seeing how rare it was. There was, of course, the possibility that they could be dual-elemental eggs, too. Anviel returned right after the blessing had finished, as the priest was bowing before the now-visible Empress of Lomira. Anviel bowed as well, close to the eggs and a little way away from Lysander, but the plate was heavy and she had already obtained permission to touch the eggs. She hesitated for a moment, unsure of where to place the offerings. A few tokens were already scattered around both eggs, and Anviel went to work dividing up what she had collected. Three coins and most of the fabric was placed around the Fate egg, while the plate and everything else were placed closer to the Life egg. That part of her duty done, Anviel rose and, for a moment, looked up at both of the eggs. Indeed, the eggs were massive, far taller than she was, not even accounting for the size of their halos. It was with great reverence that Anviel approached and touched first the Life egg, and then the Fate egg. She was not sure what to expect from either of the eggs- candidates had been told to expect potential surprises upon touching the eggs, and she knew that Fate eggs were known for granting visions, but that did little to inform her of what might actually happen. |

Giant Seraphic Egg Tag: Zemal, Talh, Rhoan, Ahmduer The egg seemed to have calmed down considerably after its condemnation of Snyder, few were truly guilty to the standards that it held, as it was not here to judge them upon the same rules that mortals might. Despite what people thought, it was much more difficult to get sent to hell than it was often preached. Eternity was a long time, and few sins required a punishment so dire. Had more come that were not the relatively young candidates though, there was a good chance that more displays would be warranted. Still, Zemal it seemed was not one destined to leave the mortal plane this day, at least not by the will of this entity. As he touched the egg it glowed softly, and the floating pieces of armor shifted about, though unlike the others it did seem like they more directly blocked those around him from being able to approach until he moved away. Energy pulsed through the air as it glowed for him, the glow around his body bright and dangerous looking for a moment before it faded and he seemed to lose contact with the egg as the others had. The armor moved away and fully revealed him again, circling the shell slowly and harmlessl. It had not the desire to answer questions in such a form it was, but it would declare its judgement upon any who touched its shell. A slight pulse of energy came from it after Ahmduer asked if it would be alright if they both touched at once, it felt... Reassuring, perhaps. Talherahiel could tell that it had approved the request, it would allow any to approach it. It however, might not allow all to leave, at least not the same way they came. They would be held to its judgement, whether they were candidate, rider, dragon, or other. Averon Tag: Ara, Narcida A grin spread across his face when she laughed, it was somewhat amusing to see such a giant creature amused so easily. Titans were usually thought of as serene and nearly immutable beings of beauty and grace... Though recent history had shown they were not nearly as immortal as people thought, and was starting to show that perhaps the way they were viewed was also not as entirely as elegant. At least for some of them. "I think I would have had one too, or been desperately been looking for some tape." He commented as he thought about it. He wondered if any eggs actually had problems with their shells when laid? He knew some were delicate, but hadn't actually heard much about what could go wrong even before the egg emerged. When she commented that the crystal shard may have fallen due to the outer shell crumbling away he could easily tell that was not the case. It was not connected to the outer portion at all really, the anchor was within the more crystalline core of the thing and the seams ran in different directions-- Not that he was a crystal expert. Of course not. Okay, maybe a little bit. He didn't argue with her perception though. "Thanks for letting me touch your eggs, and the crystal." He said to Ara, and the egg, he was going to thank the empress too, but decided not to risk saying it to the wrong person. Instead he attempted to lift the crystal. It took... More effort than he would of liked, but he managed to get it up against one shoulder in a way where he could walk at least far enough that some of the assistants decided to help by taking it back to his room for him. He wondered why they offered so readily, it was like they really wanted to not be in the hatching ground for a few minutes. Maybe it was just his imagination. He looked around the hatchery as he left, wondering where to head next. It seemed like a number of people had gone up to the giant egg that was watching over the place, and decided that he'd like to be further away from it. He hadn't seen the monstrous maggot-like dragon eat the hatchery assistant earlier, and noticed that there were... Not many people over there, at all, for some reason, so figured it might as well be his next stop. As he got closer he noticed the giant monster also had a smaller nest inside its nest with a very golden dragon sitting in it. There were a few dragons in it actually, a white earth and some sort of crystal water? They all seemed to be hanging out and he vaguely wondered which was paired with which, or if they were some sort of joint flight... The white giant seemed to be busy eating, and being scolded by the golden one, who seemed to give up a bit before he actually got there. He figured it'd be best to talk to the one that was more at his level at the moment, and approached Narcida. "Hey," he paused and looked around for a moment. "It's ah, nice to meet you. Would it be alright if I touched your very pretty eggs? I wouldn't want to... Interrupt your friend." he gestured towards the massive wall of white flesh near to them, that was part of Glos' half turned side. He figured he'd have to touch her eggs as well, but would wait until she could answer him. It wasn't like he had to touch /her/ after all, and the eggs themselves didn't look that offensive. |
