Can you dig it? Well if so get ready for a fast action and hard hitting football league unlike any other.

Quote:

150 X 65 yard Field
Dasherboards run along the side and the back of the field. Anything past or over these boards is considered out of bounds and out of play. This however does not mean that the boards themselves are out of play. If a ball or player or other item hits the dashers it is still considered in play.
4 Downs per possession.
8 players on either side of the ball. No more or less are allowed. There must be a minmum of 2 down lineman at all times prior to the snap on the offensive side of the ball. Players are not allowed to cross the Line-of-Scrimmage until play starts. There is unlimited motion allowed in the backfield prior to the snap.
A Live Field Goal Rule is in place. Any missed field goal is alive, no matter if the ball touches thr gound or not. If the ball bounces out of bounds then the other team receives the ball from that spot.
Overtime is Sudden Death style, and performed like the NCAAF.
There is a 45 Second Play Clock
There is a 3 Minute Warning at the end of the half and the end of the game.
There are 4 quarters, each lasting 20 minutes.
Every touchdown is followed by a PAT, which is then followed by a kickoff taken from the 40 yardline.
PAT's and 2 Point COnversions will be taken from the 5 yardline.
Goalposts are placed on the goalline at the front of the endzone.

Thats the basics of it all. If your interested email me (darth_maul123456789@yahoo.com) for more details. Currently 4 teams involved (2 in the West and 2 in the Eastern Conferences respectively) and looking for 8. Run similar to a game like the OIFL. ONLY JOIN IF YOU FEEL YOU CAN BALANCE BOTH THE PIFL AND THE OIFL. I do not wish to take away any members or do anything to hinder the OIFL.

My only question... how do you plan to run games? You say its like the OIFL.. how is that? Is it a sim league in an outcome maker? If so, did you make this outcome maker? Is it a strategy-based league?

Why not do an outdoor league? So many others have tried indoor leagues and have failed miserably. The OIFL is the Cream of the Crop. I love it. There aren't many/any outdoor leagues that I know of so I would suggest trying that.

I guess unless this stands for Professional Internet Football League.

This is the Professional Ironman Football League, it is outdoors. It has dashers but it is out of bounds. And I have a Sim plan for the league yes. It is effected by Strategies yes.

Some people also suggested I might find more support in a traditional American football rules league. thoughts?

8 on 8 on a Canadian football/rugby sized field (the 150 yards includes the endzones, right?) sounds crazy to most, but I can assure you this isn't completely unrealistic. Anyone who's played sevens rugby knows it works, there's just a lot more offense. I say go with it, I'll sign up for this as long as it's not another Maximum Football league.

Thank you!!! That was my premise. 7's Rugby. This can happen and I think the gimmick makes it more interesting than the football you see on Sunday's. If you want in that's great!

(Maximum Football League?)
What I meant was a league that uses Maximum Football as the simulator. I've been in a few leagues like that and it allowed for minimal roster movement or strategy.

Okay so the West is locked up after the addition of our latest team, The Monterrey Lumberjacks. 2 more Eastern Conference Teams and we can start this sucker up. Even if you're not interested and you may know someone who is. Please point 'em in my direction. I'd be much obliged
