So I have never temped, but I'm going to attempt it this cycle. Is the ear thermometer I use for my kids ok? Now to just remember before I get out of bed in the morning. I usually get up at the same time (7am) so that part should be ok, but I think you can't get up early, like I often get up between 5-7 just to go to the bathroom, would that mess up the temps? Those that have temped, what has your experience been? When does it go up?

Melissa, I have never temped but I have read up on it. You have to get a basal thermometer, it is much more sensitive and that is what you are going to need. You need to get at least 4 hours of straight sleep (this is were I can not do it). You can not get up, you need to not move as much as possible because that will mess with the temps. I have used fertility friend to chart everything else and it is very easy to use and can down load an app to your phone too.
