Official Document of Panessos Proposal: To Establish A regional Space Agency. What this Proposal will do: To send people under the Panessos flag into space, to spread Panessian Influence, and to conduct research. Description: Asasia has proposed the establishment of a Space Agency that is under the Panessian flag. This Agency will be under the control of the Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Minister of Internal Affairs. OOC: To add much more depth to the Space Exploration, we will be using several online games to add to the realism of the Space Program. Kerbal Space Program is the one that we are mainly talking about, if you have Kerbal Space Program, TG me. Discuss below. |

This is a very good idea, and it will set us apart from other regions by a large margin. I can't wait to launch my kerbalnauts into space for the sake of Panessos. |

Aeterna Imbris fully supports this proposal. Our region contains strong research and development application, but has thus far lacked transcendence from the planet we inhabit. What lies beyond the starry blanket above is our future and it needs to be studied and explored not only for the future of humankind, but for the scientific wealth of knowledge such an endeavour will provide. OOC: I don't have Kerbal Space Program, but I DO have Lunar Lander and Take On Mars, both of which are lander simulations and involve missions of both scientific and resource interest. Check it out if you have a moment and let me know what you think, I'd love to be able to put some time into these simulations on Panessos' behalf, :). |

Those Simulators will be just as useful as KSP. KSP is the prime example because it puts together the entire Space experience into one thing. Construction, Launching, Experimenting, Mining,Colonizing, etc... the possibilities are endless. |

Oh, wow. I thought it was about creating and launching rockets successfully, I had no idea it contained mining and colonisation functionality. That's quite cool. Here's a video of a Take on Mars update: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EioCsqVZFt4#t=42 |

I like it. It looks very detailed, and we will be using that for any missions that have to go to mars. |

Cool, I'll be glad to run some Mars missions when we get around to them, :). |

I would only support the agency if there was space habitats in space itself, not just on the surface of other planets. It's still a good idea, it would give us a wartime advantage if we were ever attacked by a hostile region (IC'ly, of course). That is, is we decide to construct orbital weaponry. |

Honestly, we may be in 2018, but that isn't that far in the future. Orbital Weapons for 2018 is next to Godmodding. We will do missions that are within the borders of Kerbal Space Program to maintain realism. |

Yeah, just think, it's 2013 now, 2018 is only five years away. I'm sure we'll have many technological advances between now and then, but orbital weaponry does seem a bit far fetched if you ask me. The Space Program should really only be concerned with space technology in the area of scientific exploration. Space ought to be a neutral zone, where no one should be permitted to conduct attacks. |

A nuclear missile launcher or Satellite Defense Network would be possible. |

As this vote was won by 13-1, there instatement of a space agency is approved, and the associated topic closed. I will create a topic for nations to write expressions of interest in participating in this regional endeavour. |
