The finding of Fox

Last week my life took a turn for the better. You see 3 years ago my Service Dog Gypsy died and I have been needing a new friend and companion since then. I never could find the right dog or finances were tight. Now finances are still tight but I joined several programs to get me the help I need for Fox's care.

I saw puppies running lose and kept wrangling them up. I returned them to their yard and they promptly escaped again. Friday I met the owner of them and helped her try to keep the babies in the yard. The parent dogs are very aggressive but the puppies all seem sweet just very under socialized. I kept returning puppies until Friday I got tired of it and kept one puppy and called Animal Cruelty. They came out and said the puppies were getting to be in bad shape and they sent a warning to the owner. Next day the mom dog is gone and the puppies are still in the yard. I watched the yard day and night NO ONE came outside to feed the babies. Monday I called the Animal Cruelty office again and this time I had 3 of the puppies. They took two of them away and gave me advice on the one I kept. Wednesday I called Animal Cruelty again and they got the last of the pack. Fox snuck out of the house and the agent scooped her up. I was afraid he was going to take her away but all he did was sweet talk my little girl while I got the puppies for him. I showed him the receipt from the vet and he handed her back with a reminder to get her spayed. He said that the city will give me a certificate good for a free spay too so I will be doing that soon. The babies were all at Death's door before they were taken away. I am lucky I got to them when I did and animal agents are now keeping an eye on the house in case the mom and dad dog show up again.
Fox weighs 7.5 pounds and is going to be a fairly large dog around 55-60 pounds. Her breeding is German Shepherd/Blue Heeler/Boxer/? there is NO pitbull in her even though she is marked like one. I had it confirmed by 3 breeders and a vet.
Fox is 10 weeks old and can sit, stay (for a second or two), down, off, leave it, and fetch. I will be training her for her new role after she is finished housebreaking and finishes her Obedience training. I can train her myself and will be getting some amazing books to help with the Service Dog training part. I think I really lucked out with this little girl and everyone tells me she is lucky I rescued her. Truthfully I think she rescued me. I was lonely and feeling withdrawn I have no friends here and no one to talk to, she changed all of that.
