Thank you for agreeing to participate in the 2nd Pokémon World Tournament! This is your confessional, where you may express all your opinions about the experience and answer questions from the hosting staff. You should be able to see specific threads for Voting & Messages to Alumni & Lurkers. Unless a live duel is organised then all duels will also take place in here. Speaking of questions, here are some to get the process started ![]() What are your thoughts about the format of the tournament and how do you intend to approach it? Do you have faith in your abilities should you end up competing in the Stadium? What are your thoughts on the upcoming inclusion of secret groups? Tell us your first impressions of your fellow Sinnoh trainers. Anyone stand out in a positive or negative way? |

Thank you for inviting me to play! I’ve had a number of invitations to play in non-Stranded games over the last couple of years, but it was the stellar reputation of the 1st Pokemon World Tournament, the fact that Na Onka (a host and person I have a huge amount of respect for) invited me, and the non-live aspect of the game that finally convinced me to say yes ![]() Coming into this game I have to say I’m feeling nervous for a couple of reasons. The first is that I’ve never experienced the Arena format before and the second is that I now work full-time unlike in my three other games in which I was either studying or only casually employed. The reality of the situation is that I’m doing this for fun. I’ve gotten everything I could want out of my Stranded games – 6th place, losing finalist, and finally winner – so I’m hoping to have a great time while still doing everything I can to do well again. In terms of approaching the format of the game, I don’t plan on changing the way that I play too dramatically. I’ll still be trying to form good relationships with everybody and solid alliances with a few. I think I have a pretty strong strategic game and have proven myself to be adaptable to whatever situation I find myself in. One risk that wasn’t present in my previous games but is now is that somebody, or rather multiple people, I have a hand in voting out will likely come back into the game. In order to minimise the damage that can result from this I’m obviously not going to be nasty or personal towards those I’m voting off, and also I'll try to maintain some ambiguity over which direction I voted in when it’s possible and safe to do so. I enjoy being duplicitous, but not for its own sake. If I end up in the Stadium myself, I think I’ll have a fighting chance to make it out. I tend to do well under pressure and have been known to go on a challenge streak or two I expect the level of competition and experience in this game to be greater than any I’ve competed against before, so I’m cautious not to let myself feel too confident! After the first day I’ve managed to speak to all of my fellow Sinnoh trainers except for Fantina… who is of course the teammate I ended up in a secret group with! I’ll see how things play out over the next day, but she could very well be the first to go and I’m not going to put up much of a fight to keep her. It’s not worth it. However, I have suggested to Candice that she, Volkner, and I could bring in our Sinnoh group members to form a group of 6 and ensure that our three groups remain intact. This is assuming that Candice and Volkner don't happen to be paired together. I’m not pushing for this plan hard, it's simply a suggestion I've put out there. If they don’t go for it and want to vote off Fantina for being relatively inactive and an uncontroversial vote I won’t be bothered. Being one of the last remaining groups can be more trouble than it’s worth. If it’s not already clear, Candice and Volkner are the two players that I’m closest with at this stage. I really like them both and have enjoyed talking to them. I have good relationships with Dawn, Lucas, Roark, and Byron. Dawn is such a sweetheart and Lucas is a cool guy Crasher Wake hasn’t left much of an impression on me yet. Maylene doesn't seem to put much thought or time into her messages to me, so I'm feeling a bit indifferent about her at the moment.Due to work I doubt I’ll have time to write another confessional until after the first tribal council, but I’ll try to fill in my experience of the build up to whatever happens when I can, after the fact. |

Fabulous update You've always been great at answering anything I might ask before the need arises. Update us at your leisure. This won't be one of those games where you get more questions mere seconds after posting in your confessional

Good afternoon, Gardenia. I am Sabrina, mistress of psychic type Pokemon. I can of course already foresee the events that will take place throughout the game, but hosting responsilities require me to keep my visions secret from the competitors. I look forward to reading your next update whenever you have enough time. Best of luck! |

Hey Blue and Sabrina! Blue, I think I might need some of that luck you're offering! And Sabrina, I would love to know how things are going to turn out in the game, but then I like surprises too so that's okay ![]() I want to apologise for my lack of updates. I feel like I'm letting you guys down and not fulfilling my obligations as a player. Unfortunately I really struggled to find much time for the game during the week with work and personal commitments, such that any time I did have I had to dedicate to PMs. Playing ORGs as a student was much more manageable as I was able to log on and send messages here and there throughout the day, whereas now I have to disappear for 8 or 9 hours solid during the day. It has had a big negative impact on my game which is disappointing. I received 3 votes at the last Tribal Council and seem to be the main target for the next one, and the reasons I've been told include that I haven't been messaging people often enough. There's also the fact that I haven't had a chance to influence the previous votes or steer the game in a direction that suits me. Anyway, I'm doing everything I can to turn that around and if I survive the next vote I'll write a proper confessional covering the events up until that point on Monday as I have the day off

Don't worry about that I know what you mean about RL obligations and messages. Lately in games I have been "cheating" I guess you could say by just posting exact quotes from messages sent to others that summed everything up instead of re-wording it all

Is there any way I can view Tribal Council? I'd like to at least know the vote count. |

Also, for the challenge, what does it mean to post an item? Do I link to the image of the item I find? |

You post the image of the item in your challenge thread. You know that find the flag challenge AS likes to use? As you would have done there. |

Oh and as for this: It was 6-1-1 with you as the six and Byron & Maylene each receiving one vote. |
