No bombshells. Only let people know who doesn't trust them. Speculation that they are in alliances and with who and that kind of stuff. |

That hasn't eventuated just now. There is speculation that Viola, Serena and Olympia are a trio. I have not head from the latter pair, but Viola has told me the next vote is for Korinna and has tried to tell me that all is OK as far as my place in this game is concerned - but there is nothing beyond the next vote. While I believe that group is in play, I also believe a Calem/Olympia pairing is there and is pretty tight. So I've lumped my lot in with Wulfric and Valerie and I'm opening up more with them - if they're screwing me over so be it, I'd rather that than die wondering. Here is what I sent to Wulfric
and Valerie
Nothing to make your pants get tight, I know, but it's hopefully putting some thoughts or ideas in peoples heads. |

Dream world was a surprise. I was seriously believing I was never going to make it there, but I'll take it  As for the vote, this will probably be a bit inaccurate as I'm not cross referencing my PMs, but here goes. There had been a lot of speculation about a grouping of Viola, Olympia and Serena. With Olympia and Calem being close. A few days back Wulfric and Valerie had mentioned to me that the three girls have been looking to stock up there numbers by including Calem/Wulfric/Valerie in whatever way. Getting that information made me know that Olympia and Serena weren't interested in my advancing far. Their lack of messages to me backed that up. That was probably the case with Viola also, but she is much more willing to talk and say what you want to hear. So I had been thinking about ways to try and chip away at that group. I played the victim among the V/O/S trio in the hope of getting more information out of them, which wasn't a success. Burgh and Korinna felt they were at the bottom of the pack. Burgh was quick to jump to conclusions and formulated that Viola is in control and she is close with the girls. Korinna apparently threw my name around (or entertained me being voted) which I understand as if she felt she was bottom, why not throw the next one under the bus. But I felt their insecurities could be exploited, so I tried to convince them we needed to stick together and hope other people were ambitious. Enter Calem and Valerie. Calem mentioned that we need to remove Viola (assuming he was close to Olympia and needed Serena up his sleeve), this gave me confidence to tell Valerie - who was angling to break up the girls trio - that I think we can make this work as Calem has said something similar and we can tell Burgh and Korinna that they are on the chopping block so they have to make this move. Valerie lobbied hard and Wulfric was on board and the vote went towards Serena - I think because people weren't sure of Burghs/Viola connection, I don't know - Calem offered resistance to it surprisingly, but the weight of numbers convinced him to change his vote. I wasn't the driver of this vote happenening, but I think I helped sprinkle enough seeds to get the outcome I wanted, well that's at least how I saw it  Viola and Olympia are miffed, as expected, and we will see what today brings. I am no way bound to this quintet, but I would assume they will look for an easy vote of Viola today. However a push to break up a Calem/Olympia pairing may eventuate, which I would not be averse to. Olympia has defended herself in something that I mentioned to Calem which only increases suspicions of that duo. |

I have an odd feeling about this vote. Today the vote started out as Viola based on her reaction to Serena leaving and as the day progressed it has morphed in to Burgh due to a number of people not trusting him. However, there has been no real discussion or commitment, it's odd. If Burgh goes it leaves Serena/Viola back in the mix and Olympia with her suspected #2 in Calem - if Korrina decides to be a move maker and Calem doesn't want to sell out the girls with advanced notice, I could very much be in the minority and given Violas dislike of me I could end up in the arena in the next round or two. |

The oddness manifests itself. Calem was being very strange this round and I now know why. Well played to the majority. I will see if I can turn things around but I don't have the energy for a hard slog at the moment. |

And with that there went my hopes of a shuffle salvation  I can't see myself getting out of this hole I find myself in. It is quiet. The glass half full side of me puts this down to timezone differences, but the glass half empty side of me is realistic in that the people who voted out Valerie do not wish to talk to me. If that stays true to form I will be entering the Arena sooner rather than later, unless there is an unexpected dash for glory from within the current majority. I'll be partly relieved to free up some time if that happens, but I'll also be annoyed that I got myself in to this mess and mostly irked at one of my major gripes in this game is that people decide not to talk to you any more once you find yourselves in different camps. One on hand you limit future options (who is to say I won't pimp myself off to whoever has a sweet tongue when I enter the Arena? ) but there is no prize or something at stake, so a little courtesy to those who took the time to play and login doesn't go astray. Just a grumpy old mans complaint.

I should add that it is people deciding not to talk to you despite appearing online a lot that is where the grievance lies

As they say in the classics be careful what you wish for. I'm in grovel mode at the moment, but Violas self righteousness and hypocrisy is simply leading me to a mission to make like hard for her once I enter the Arena and speak with Unova. |

It has been very dull since the Valerie vote and I don't expect any change tomorrow. I hope I do get sent to the Arena, just to have some interaction/stimulation when I am logged in. I know I have flaws in my communication - and I'm soooooo bland this game - but I at least try and play my part in messaging and the like. Despite that, I am genuinely surprised at peoples willingness to sever ties with people here. I believe an approach to the Arena is a kind of like the jury stage in Survivor, you still need to maintain those relationships in case those people pop up again. Clemont, despite going back to the Arena tonight, seemed to make a better go of it at Unova, Valerie is still in the mix and I doubt she'd side with Kalos in any split decision, likewise Korrina if she wins through and I am also considering a similar path when my time is due and I am fortunate enough to survive. So if Viola, Serena, Olympia and even Calem expect to win this game it is going to be hard for them with the other tribe and ex-tribe members up against them. I will be interested to see how it plays out. |

If/when you leave, what happens next over here? Is there any way you can exploit that? Who are near the bottom in your opinion? |
