My Top 10 Moments of 2013 (I encourage you to do your own list, as I want to know about your life moments too!)

10. Roller Land - It may seem silly to put a roller skating rink on the list, but there's been some history here, not just a place where I learned how to skate but where I spent several weekends with a large group of friends. I may not have been as good as her, but I came here with Cammy a lot and of course, Pat, Kolt, and Keith. It provided a relaxing and fun breakaway from near-adult life, and also watching the movie Roller Town gave us plenty of inside jokes.

9. Strike Zone Bowling Alley - It may seem even sillier to put a bowling alley on the list, but I spent more time at the bowling alley than Roller Land. The main moment is when I got a Turkey, something that's probably par for any actual bowlers, but none of my friends could say they did the same. Plus, my crush was watching and it was great bowling together with her.

8. Parties - All the parties my senior year, omg. A few stick out the most, the first time at Connor's house, Thanksgiving and another time at Patrick's house. Getting wasted at Connor's and playing beer pong is easy, but it was Patrick's defining antics that left a lasting effect as he broke cabinets, kissed dudes, and ruined his chances with the girl of his dreams. The subsequent party at his house where he drank himself to vomiting on the floor and I was unable to get out of the bathroom was hilarious to reflect back on, but maybe it was Thanksgiving where this guy who was wearing peach-colored pants got near-massacred by my stepsister that was the greatest impact on me.

7. Sailing - The previous moments on the list were kind of spread out, but I only sailed once this year and it was a true spectacle. It was hectic, relaxing, calm, and sometimes a bit scary but several inside jokes stemmed from it and it's always good to try something new, especially sailing the high seas.

6. GTA5 Launch - A game as one of the greatest moments of the year? More like the events surrounding the game, such as the midnight launch at GameStop, hanging out with friends. And then setting up three TVs in Kolten's living room to play it all night and the next day. That kind of immersion and being able to play side by side with friends is a lost art.

5. Filming 'You Only Live Once' - YOLO was the movie I was supposed to film for my grad project. I ended up cutting back a lot and making just a small fraction of the intense zombie film that I was going for, and eventually it turned into a joke when I named it You Only Live Once instead of RX or Last Walk. The experience was filming it though, which taught me a lot and was also fairly enjoyable.

4. Foods Class - Picking a whole class as a moment may seem like cheating, but there's just so much yet so little. Anytime we cook is a blast, whether I'm doing something with bananas(I'm always doing something with bananas) or Gabby's setting the bacon on fire. Even when we're not cooking, we're messing with Mrs. Bauzon, photoshopping her head onto an elf's body or pulling out her silly dancing dog or convincing her that we all have kids and that Katie's a stripper. The most defining moment of the class and probably my entirety of high school is ordering a pizza to school under her name. The hilarity of it was legion, and it spoke to how careless I am aswell.

3. Grad Project - This was incredibly stressful up until the very end when I finished it minutes before I presented. But the presentation was a blast, and with the right amount of confidence I was able to blow the judge's away and I walked out with a nice 100, pretty much clocking in that there is nothing that can stop me from graduating. Bye bye high school.

2. NCSBA Contest - This seemed like a really simple thing, make a short video about why public schools are super and then submit it to the contest. We brainstormed ideas and put it together, and it was really swell, but I was surprised when I had to dress up all fancy to go to the ceremony and be given the award. The whole ride there with Kaylee, Kolten, Mangum, and Dr. Murphy was filled with odd moments, but getting the recognition for the video, a trophy, $2000 and some serious college cred is the real cherry. I've been invited to a banquet type thing by the board now, but that's in January.

1. Myrtle Beach - I went to Myrtle Beach three times this year. The Sick Puppies concert was great, but I wouldn't put it at the top of the list. Seeing Chevelle and Deftones back to back was amazing, especially the high octane energy of the Deftones concert, but still not a list-topper. When I went to Myrtle Beach with Keith, Kolten, and Patrick to see Flux Pavilion was the real top moment of the year for me. From staying at a high-class resort, riding some of the huge boardwalk rides, eating at fancy restaurants, mini-golfing, sight-seeing, and the intense concert itself, it was a weekend filled with moments and inside jokes that I will never forget.

I just wish I didn't spend so much damn money there.

Will's Ultimate Best Video Games List

To list my best video games I will first do a Top 10 of every video game console/handheld ever....well, just the important ones and the PSP (see what I did there?) I'll update this periodically starting with the NES and finishing with the 7th Gen, though I might include the Xbox One and its games in the mix.

Top Ten NES Games

10. Ninja Gaiden - This game may be hella difficult but it's still hella fun and you can't really go wrong with ninjas.

9. Bionic Commando - I like this better than most platformers cause of the usage of a bionic arm rather than just jumping, there was more puzzle solving and exploration involved with it. The remake sucked though.

8. Battletoads - This game is probably even more difficult than Ninja Gaiden, but had more level variety and on the NES that counts.

7. The Legend of Zelda - The game that started it all, with the huge world and tons of exploration this game...was not as good as many subsequent Zelda games, but still better than most NES games.

6. Super Mario Bros - Insanely simplistic and addictive, this game can still be fun to this day if you have an insane amount of patience.

5. Super Mario Bros 3 - Easily better than the first and second SMB games simply by being more expansive and including new powerups, why play the first one when you can play this one?

4. Contra - Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right A B Select Start, this is the best multiplayer game on the NES and the best shooter.

3. Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse - This game did LoZ better than LoZ did, with its mass exploration and items and power-ups to pick up and use, plus it's RPG elements, you really can't go wrong.

2. Mega Man 2 - From the iconic intro of Mega Man on the building to the memorable boss fights and the concept of stealing defeated bosses powers, this is the best Mega Man game in the series.

1. Metroid - Metroid is the best game on the NES by far, this is the game that popularized exploration and Metroid's the game to play for the best exploration and power-up mechanics.

Not that you'd want to play any of these games anyways, they're all like 30 years old now.

Top Ten SNES Games

10. Super Mario World - As many may know, I'm not a huge fan of Mario platformers, but this is a solid platformer with fun visuals and addictive gameplay, and who doesn't love Yoshi?

9. Mortal Kombat - Even though I suck at fighting games I still love tearing the heads off of my enemies and brutally ripping them apart. Isn't that the only reason Mortal Kombat is popular? Doesn't make it any less awesome.

8. Chrono Trigger - One of the early games to have a great story, this is one of the most underrated yet amazing JRPGs ever made. It's DBZ-style animation and fun battle system along with a DS remake ensure it will live on in cult audiences.

7. Wolfenstein 3D - You fight nazis, werewolves, and a Robo-Hitler.

6. Star Fox - 3D flight simulator that was surprisingly fun and well-done, paving the way for 3D graphics and an even better 64-bit sequel.

5. Doom - The iconic FPS where you shoot demons and monsters. This game made the FPS genre a thing and was unforgiving in its difficulty but fun as hell. The movie sucked though.

4. Donkey Kong Country - Better than most Mario platformers and probably the best DK title to date, it's fun and tricky, even if the visuals look a little odd. Rare ftw doe.

3. Super Mario Kart - The kart racer that started it all, I loved choosing different mario characters, memorizing all the racetracks, and all the whacky power-ups that made this a party game staple.

2. Super Metroid - Take everything good about Metroid and make it BETTER. Then take everything bad about Metroid(like backtracking and the inability to shoot upwards) and change it. You've got Super Metroid. More boss battles, more power-ups, more to explore, this is the best Metroid game before the days of Prime.

1. The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past - Was there any doubt? LTTP is the pinacle of LoZ, an amazing open world with crafty dungeons, enticing boss fights and so much to unlock, explore, and discover, this game is filled with tons of secrets and hours of playtime with a really good remake on 3DS called ALBW aswell.

Travis' Top Twenty Games Of All Time

20. Tony Hawk Underground
A game that made me actually wanna go outside and play on a skate board, which is quite the feet. It also had a kickass soundtrack that is still pretty awesome today.

19. Super Mario Bros. 3
Arguably the best platformer game ever. And by arguably, I mean the best.

18. Bulletstorm
One of the funniest, crudest, and actually smartest games I've ever played. It would be higher if it's boss battle wasn't terrible. It's a horrible shame that it won't get a sequel, but hopefully Fortnite will be able to carry on this game's amazing legacy, and not have a horrible final boss.

17. Left 4 Dead 2
Archaic, rampant, brutal, quick paced, shotgunning, zombie killing, chainsaw revving, burning fleshing fun. Wonderful fun when you're in a team of people that actually know what to do. Not so much when you can't walk without getting hit by a molotov, or a gas can.

16. Civilization 5
A game where you can play as a world conquering, mass murdering, nuke using Ghandi? Yes, just all of my yes.

15. Spiderman Ultimate
I have always been a huge fan of Spiderman, it started when I watched the old 90s tv show that was on fox, and this game, let me be the Spiderman I wanted to be, and the Venom I wanted to be too, and anytime I can play as a giant vampiric alien creature, I just have to rate it highly.

14. Saint's Row The Third
Alright, know how I said all that stuff about Bulletstorm? Well, take that, get rid of the bad boss, and add in giant dildo bats, and other ridiculous things, and you've got a hilarious game.

13. Super Mario 64
This was the game, the game that started this downward spiral, the one that turned everything blue in the world, it was my first game I ever played, and beat, and even then, I don't think I ever got all the stars, but jesus, that was a master piece. It essentially started the 3D gaming scene, and it just revolutionized everything.

12. Fallout New Vegas
An amazing journey through a nuclear wasteland version of Las Vegas and the surrounding area, it had it all. Creepy zombies, nazi romans, robots, robo-dogs, giant monsters, stealth, humour, Chandler Bing, it was just a blast to go through, and is still fun to go through again and again.

11. Pokemon Sapphire
TRUMPETS! WATER! ENVIRONMENTALIST BAD GUYS! TRUMPETS! Joking aside from the cliched things people say about Gen 3, I always had, and will have, a special place in my heart for it. It was my first pokemon game, and I can remember the enjoyment of trekking through the lands with my Torchic, named Blaze, and just having so much fun, that my 6 year old mind could barely contain it. It played a hand in the anime taking Digimon's place as being my favourite show, and while I've grown out of that, I could never grow out of Sapphire, a breathtaking adventure.

10. Assassin's Creed II
My personal favourite from 2009, a story of youth, coming of age, settling down into a job that you don't really like but have to do... oh and ninjas basically. Italian Ninjas that know Leonardo Da Vinci, and kick the pope's ass. 10/10

9. Portal 2
Valve's greatest achievement outside of Steam Summer Sales, a hilarious, near cliche-less story. Stephen Merchant really makes the part of Wheatley come to life, and without him, it'd definitely be lower in ratings.

8. Skyrim
A truly infinite game. You could do whatever you wanted in the game. Wanna be Batman? Okay, here ya go, go bash some heads in. Wanna be a person who just steals cabbages? Go get you some kraut. A game this good, just deserves to be played, and it just looks amazing.

7. The Walking Dead
Tears, so many tears... This game, is just a pure emotional adventure. Everything that goes wrong, which is everything, is in someway engineered by you, because of something you did. And do you wanna know the worst part about it? Clementine will remember this...

6. Grand Theft Auto V
Normally, GTA4 would have this spot, but, I cannot in a good mind, not put this masterpiece on this list. It does everything 4 wanted to do, but does it all so much better. The snarky, sarcastic, cynical look at American culture, Gaming Culture, and just popular culture is an amazing, hilarious, rendition in something that will always stay with me. Be it in just chuckling when I see something that reminds me of the game, or telling someone how I escaped the police on a moped, or just remembering Trevor's anti-Canadian-ness, that was just perfection. A pure diamond in the gaming world.

5. Fire Emblem Awakening
Stop, think of a game of chess, now replace the pieces with characters that have their own personalities, that have interactions with each other, that feel to have their own lives. Now, one of them dies, and then another, and then before you know it, it's all over, and you're to blame, because you made a mistake. This is Fire Emblem Awakening. When it's not kicking you for making a mistake, FEA is an amazing tactical RPG, a game that you can play at almost any time, for any amount of time, and just have a blast.

4. Batman: Arkham City
A game where you're Batman, patrolling, an almost, city. You can do anything you could want to as Batman in this place, beating thugs into a inch of their lives, solving crimes and mysteries, encountering amazingly well acted villains, and rouges. And when it's all over, and you're just sitting there, breathless, you go back to the menu, and hit New Game Plus, ready to take on the harder enemies again and again, and each time, finding more secrets, more hints to future games, and more amazing work that went into every detail. The voice actors do everything in their power to portray the emotion of the characters, and if any one of those actors weren't in this game, I can guarantee you, that it would be no where as good.

3. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
The original Grand Theft Auto "Five", an engaging, funny, almost operatic journey through early 90s California as a mad black man. Isn't that just the dream of everyone? It was also the first GTA game I 100 percented, just to get those amazing jets and tanks, and well, just to fully enjoy the wonderful world.

2. The Last Of Us
Take the amount of detail from Batman: Arkham City, the story from The Walking Dead, the innovation of Super Mario 64, and then finally throw in it's own brand of darkness, of anxiousness. Every encounter has many ways of doing them, but there is only one out come, and that out come is that it drastically affects the way Ellie, the girl you are tasked with protecting, and even Joel's, view of the world. It has one of the best stories in any medium ever, and just proved to be a technical amazement, pushing out near next gen graphics from the PS3, and the pure enjoyment you get from every moment you play, you don't even need to do any of the violent battles, you can just stand there, and take in the views, and the amazing voice actors, and feel an amazing feeling of astonishment.

1. Red Dead Redemption
This is it, the best, there is no other alternative, I won't have any other. It's just the pinnacle of gaming. It's story was superb, and the ending heartbreaking, manly tear inducing, a trait only The Walking Dead game came close to nearly doing. The sheer amount of stuff you can do is mind boggling, lassoing people to put on train tracks, playing poker, killing mass amounts of people, or even just being the nice cowboy, the guy who goes around, saving people, bring back their horses. It's just too much. People can say "Oh, it's a bit dead in places" but that's what the early 1900s were like, what would you expect, a jet? No, you can't expect anything other than what Red Dead Redemption masterfully delivers. You stand upon the precipice of everything you could want in a game; humour, story, a long game, zombies, music, and when you look down, it's all there, and Red Dead Redemption welcomes you with an open hand to come and embrace it. And, you should, for godssakes you should.

Top Ten Worst Superhero Movies of All Time

10. Superman Returns - Despite Kevin Spacey, this movie is brought down by poor performances and another bland Superman movie that does nothing to try and elevate its subject matter beyond the typical formula.

9. Daredevil - Despite Michael Clarke Duncan, this movie is poorly written, poorly acted, and poorly designed(Seriously, those costumes suck). Just an ordinary superhero movie trying to be gritty and realistic but failing like Ben Affleck in just about any movie in the 00s.

8. Fantastic Four - Completely uninspired and altogether boring, this movie brings nothing new to the table nor does it bring an interesting movie in its place.

7. Punisher: War Zone - Almost so bad it's good, this movie is completely ridiculous and ultra violent to a fault. A sonic assault of guns doesn't make good viewing.

6. Hulk - Poor special effects, completely ridiculous storytelling, and it takes itself too seriously. This is another example of a Hulk movie showing the beast and not the man inside. No but seriously, Hulk looks ugly and the ending is just plain nonsensical.

5. Batman Forever - A complete tonal change from the previous two Batman outings, going from dark to goofy with the inclusion of Jim Carrey as a whacky Riddler, Tommy Lee Jones playing a ridiculous Two-Face, and Who Cares as Robin, also replacing the incredible Michael Keaton with Val Kilmer. Nothing about this movie works, as it tries to hard to be funny and fails.

4. X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Filled with plot holes, poor writing and storytelling, and special effects that are worse than even the original X-Men (and Ryan Reynolds) this movie is the worst in the X-Men canon and so bad that it was basically erased from the canon.

3. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer - The only good scene in this movie is when Jessica Alba was naked. Everything else about it is ridiculous, with cringe-worthy jokes, yawn-worthy action, and facepalm-worthy plot twists. Chris Evans went on to do better things and hopefully the new Fantastic Four movie will do good to its source material.

2. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance - Apparently Nic Cage wasn't crazy enough in the first one. In this one he pisses fire! Tries too hard to be gritty by erasing its color palette and replacing it with murky effects, shaky cam, and acid trippy scenes. Oh, and did I mention Nic Cage? If you want to get your Nic Cage thrills, pick a different movie.

1. Batman and Robin - Fuck this movie.

Top Ten Best Superhero Movies of All Time

10. Batman Returns - Darker, grittier, and altogether more entertaining than the original, this Batman outing features more character dynamics and lovably hammy performances from Christopher Walken and Danny De Vito. (Also, if I haven't mentioned this before, Michael Keaton is the best Batman)

9. X2: X-Men United - This is all the Wolverine backstory we needed. With an interesting storyline, more entertaining characters than the first one, like fucking Nightcrawler, more character development, and some badass action, this is the best X-Men movie from the original trilogy.

8. Kick-Ass - Hilarious and ultra-violent but also with a lot of heart, everything about this movie works with the awesome performances from Chloe Moretz, Nic Cage, and Mark Strong, to the sharp, satirical writing and beautifully shot action scenes, this is one superhero movie that shouldn't be overlooked.

7. Watchmen - Not many superhero movies go as dark and gritty as this, but with Zack Snyder at the helm, it's a directorial masterpiece with rich characters, moral ambiguity, and dark overtones. You don't have to be a fan of the source material to enjoy this.

6. Iron Man - The movie that made RDJ a star again, and why shouldn't it. Back when the Tony Stark character wasn't a cartoon, with a lovably snarky yet human performance, Jeff Bridges as the villain, and some intense action, this is not only the only good Iron Man movie, but the only GREAT Iron Man movie.

5. The Avengers - Bringing the whole team together for one awesome action movie, that's really all there is to say. The character dynamics are great, the action is phenomenal, and everything fits together perfectly. Only complaint being I wish there was a more enticing villain(If you've noticed a pattern is, I tend to point out the villain as strong points)

4. The Dark Knight Rises - Dark, brooding, symbolic, and character-driven. A suitably epic finale to the Dark Knight trilogy that might not be able to reach the heights of its impressive predecessor but still able to deliver a thrilling 2 and a half hour experience filled with memorable scenes.

3. X-Men: First Class - In my opinion, the most character-driven X-Men movie with the dynamic between Professor X and Magneto driving the story forward. That alone puts it in the top ten, but Kevin Bacon's enticing villain, the Cold War narrative, and morality questions elevate above and beyond.

2. Chronicle - A huge surprise for me, this movie left me speechless after I first saw it. Despite its found footage format and its cast of unknowns, this movie delivered a well-acted, dramatic, tragic, and emotionally moving story about three teenagers getting superpowers that shifted tones fluidly from comedic to dramatic to exciting to tragic. Not only one of my favorite superhero movies but one of my favorite movies of all time.

1. The Dark Knight - Duh. Not only regarded as the greatest superhero movie of all time but one of the greatest movies of the 21st century and even all time, this movie transcended above and beyond all other superhero movies and delivered a gripping crime saga with edge-of-your-seat moments at every corner. Impeccably written, impeccably acted, and impeccably directed, there is no doubt that this is the greatest superhero movie of all time creating a Batman movie like no other.

Oh and did I mention Heath Ledger as The Joker? He was good too.

Top Ten Nintendo 64 Games

10. Star Fox 64 - Built on everything the original started, making a more satisfying and thrilling flight simulator with a decent story.

9. Mario Party 2 - Nothing to think about, no worthwhile story, but still a very fun game to play with or without friends.

8. Mario Kart 64 - It was a hard choice between this and the more advanced Diddy Kong Racing, but with better multiplayer and tracks, Mario Kart 64 takes the cake as the best kart racer on N64.

7. The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask - A much darker and more difficult Zelda adventure, Majora's Mask showed a different and enticing version of the classic formula while still retaining all the best of LoZ's previous iterations.

6. Perfect Dark - Not the best shooter on N64, but damn close. Spiritually similar to Goldeneye, but with better level design and a fantastic Xbox remake.

5. Paper Mario - Surprisingly switched up the Mario formula to great success, and despite the cartoonish look, delivered refreshing gameplay and a dedicated story mode with a turn-based RPG twist on combat.

4. Super Mario 64 - Mario's first foray into 3D was spectacular, with memorable levels, solid controls, and tons of fun.

3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - A fantastic adventure game with hours of memorable gameplay, no other Nintendo franchise had a better jump into 3D than LoZ.

2. Goldeneye 007 - Revolutionary to the shooter/FPS genre which took the standard set by Wolfenstein, Doom, and Duke Nukem and raised it up with amazing multiplayer and impressive level design, this is the best movie game ever made.

1. Conker’s Bad Fur Day - One of the funniest games ever made, rivaled only by Saints Row The Third, and one of the most raunchiest with it's ripe parodies of 90s gaming tropes, Conker had it all. From a wide variety of levels that made sure the story mode wasn't repetitive to a fun and silly multiplayer mode, Conker's Bad Fur Day is not only my favorite N64 game, but one of my favorite games of all time.
