Voting opened.

Post a reason who you chose and why.

The hockey player has held the name since 1970. Feel personally that he owns it, and has earned it.

PS:

Fins, you were not an option intentionally. We already know you are the PP Creator, and as such, are more along the lines of "The Magnificient One".
Volunteers? No Thanks!

I have to give my vote to the original, Wayne Gretzsky. He earned it.

Just for the record, Nads is already The Great Number Two.(It comes right after you get done doing Number One)

Not Gretzky - he's a limp wristed wet lettuce. A Real Man would play a Real Sport with a Real World Cup like football. Failing that he would play a something manly involving no body armour, like rugby (which also has a reasonably representative World Cup).

Ice Hockey is for girls.

RT13, you spelled prohta wrong, dingy.

DeSade, you magnificent beast... of course those are sports. What's NOT a sport? I would venture to say that by its definition, everything is a sport.

And nascar falls under which #?
Not excercise (or1,2), perhaps 3, 6, 7 or 8?

Probably #1. But definitely #8.

1. competitive physical activity: an individual or group competitive activity involving physical exertion or skill, governed by rules, and sometimes engaged in professionally

competitive = he who crosses finish line first, gets milk and bikini babes
individual (or group) = 1 driver/car (pit crew counts I guess as a team...)
involving skill = try not to crash in traffic at 170+mph turning left - it's hard. harder with a mustache. even harder with bikini babes waiting.
governed by rules = presumably. probably written on a Pabst-soaked napkin.
and sometimes engaged in professionally = those mooks get paid for driving at that speed, I do not. (In fact quite the opposite, quite the opposite indeed.)

does that explain it?

That explains alot, but I got lost when the letters "M," "O," "O," and "K" were used to look like a word. Thats where I gave up.

from merriam-webster:

mook
Pronunciation: \ˈmük\
Function: noun
Etymology: perhaps alteration of moke
Date: 1930
slang : a foolish, insignificant, or contemptible person

um... aren't you the king of dictionaries?
