http://www.kltv.com/global/story.asp?s=6607862 6/4/07-Winnsboro East Texas Senior Missing, Police Need Your Help An East Texas senior woman has been missing for more than three days. Eighty-nine year old Jamie Milner of Winnsboro was last seen around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon. Winnsboro police said she may be in a white, 1999 Grand Marquis with a Texas handicapped license: 2XTXV. Police said Milner may have driven to the Walmart in Sulphur Springs. Please, contact the Winnsboro police if you've seen her, or her car. (But they didn't include the contact phone number!) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.kltv.com/global/story.asp?s=6610302 6/4/07-Winnsboro Missing Woman's Family Asking For Help Locating Her It's been five days since an elderly Winnsboro woman was last seen. Her family is desperate for answers. Jamie Milner, 89, has been missing since Thursday morning after leaving the WalMart in Sulphur Springs. Her family says Milner has heart problems and is a diabetic so it's urgent to find her. Today her family spent put up flyers, in hopes that someone will tell them where she is. "She's elderly. She needs her medications and she's wonderful. She's a wonderful lady," said Jamie's niece Jeannie Howle. Howle say Milner, a life-long Winnsboro resident, would only leave her house either to go to the grocery store or to get her hair done. But she'd always come right back home. So, she and her family are extremely worried that Milner has not been seen or heard from in five days. "We've checked the roads between here and the WalMart store. We've checked the country roads. There's no indication of any car off on any skid marks. The car can't be found," said Howle. Surveillance video obtained by the Winnsboro Police Department from the Sulphur Springs WalMart shows Milner at the store. She's seen buying a few items. Milner then walks to her car, puts her bag in the back seat, then drives off. The footage shows her leaving the parking lot towards Highway 11. Milner's nephew says family members and others in the community have searched the stretch of Highway11 from Sulphur Springs all the way to Overton. Duane Darby says his aunt did not show any signs of Alzheimer's, but she does have heart problems and diabetes. He says the fact that she needs her medication, makes it urgent to find her. Milner was last seen driving her white, 1999 Grand Marquis with Texas handicapped license plate 2XTXV. Police say Milner did not have a cell phone or credit cards so that makes it hard to trace her. Contact the Winnsboro Police Department if you've seen her. Oralia Ortega, Reporting. ortega@kltv.com |

Hirsch said it appears Milner ran off the road and, by the level of decomposition, that she had been dead for many days, probably since the day she went missing. He said an autopsy will be performed to rule out foul play and identify the cause of death, which officials presume could have been related to her diabetes or heart problems. Family members said Milner rarely left the house for any reason other than groceries or the hair salon, and were quickly alerted by her disappearance May 31. She was a longtime resident of Winnsboro. |
