Six weeks ago, a Woodford County woman disappeared, today, her son is upping the reward for information on her whereabouts, even as hope for her safe return dims.

Patricia Last is, or was, 65 years old.

Six weeks ago today she vanished after cutting short a phone call to a friend.

"She heard a noise and ruckus outside, and she told her girlfriend, 'i gotta go, i'm gonna let the dogs out, there's something going on outside, and i'll be, i'll give you a call right back. and that was the last conversation she had we know of."

Trey Medlin says he's boosting the reward for information directly leading to his mother's whereabouts, from $10,000 to $25,000.

He's also listing farm equipment that disappeared about the time his mother did, hoping someone who's seen or even bought the stuff will step forward:

A 15-20 foot black trailer.

A large orange Compressor.

A yellow Hustle Z Lawnmower, with serial numbers 0-6-0-3-0-2-8-3.

Medlin says his mother loved the many horses she kept on her 75-acre farm and still wants to believe in a scenario in which she's safe somewhere, perhaps after an injury that gave her amnesia.

Anyone with information about Patricia Last's whereabouts should call the Versailles Police Department, or Trey Medlin at, area code 505-577-8087.

A | A | A Police are once again searching for a missing central Kentucky woman.

Patricia Last hasn't been seen since Friday night.

Friends of Patricia Last say she was at her home in Woodford County Friday night around midnight, and they haven't heard from her since then.

Friend Donna Nabors says she went to Last's home on Saturday evening when another friend said they hadn't heard from her. She found her door unlocked, and her keys, cell phone, and credit cards inside.

She says it isn't like Patricia Last to leave without telling anyone and friends are worried something has happened to her.

They say she was recently served with divorce papers and planned to move, but wouldn't have left without telling them, or leaving behind her 75 horses and other animals on her 80 acre farm.

Versailles Police searched the area on foot and from the air but they haven't found any sign of the 65-year old.

Police were back up in the air on Tuesday, using a helicopter to try to locate Last.

If you know her whereabouts, you're asked to call Versailles Police at 859-873-3126.

Police search for missing woman
Central Kentucky Bureau
VERSAILLES — Police seek information about a Woodford County woman who has been missing since Friday.

Patricia Last, 65, who owns Longshadow horse farm in southern Woodford, was last heard from late Friday night when she was speaking to a friend by phone, said Versailles Police Lt. Daniel Clark.

But Last hasn't been seen or heard from since, and that has friends and neighbors concerned. Clark said arrangements have been made for the care of the horses on the farm.

Police searched for Last on Sunday with the assistance of a Lexington police helicopter.

Last is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs 158 pounds, has hazel eyes and brown hair.

If anyone has seen or spoken to Patricia Last, they are asked to call Versailles police at (859) 873-3126.

Horse Farm Owner Vanishes

http://www.wlky.com/news/17705772/detail.html

Vehicles, Animals Still On Farm, Owner Is Not

POSTED: 5:08 pm EDT October 13, 2008
UPDATED: 6:13 pm EDT October 13, 2008

VERSAILLES, Ky. -- Versailles police are searching for a Woodford County horse farm owner.

Friends of 65-year-old Patricia Last said they heard from her late Friday night, but nothing since then.

Police say it's one of the strangest disappearance cases they've ever worked.

Police combed the 80-acre farm and the surrounding area looking for Last. They said Last has more than 70 horses on the farm and several other animals. They say her cars are on the property, but she is not.

"We were contacted again by the friends and at that point in time, completed a missing person's report and started a missing person's investigation due to the fact that no one... It had been confirmed that no one had seen her or spoken to her since late Friday night," said Lt. Daniel Clark of Versailles police.

Search dogs, four-wheelers and helicopters aided police in their search of the property, and at least three officers are working the case full time.

"It's pretty open, except for tree lines, and that kind of thing," said Clark. "The helicopter helped us a great deal of being able to search the open fields, of being able to search the tree lines. We searched all day yesterday with no sign."

Police said the most puzzling part of this case is not that last left, but what she left behind -- dozens of horses and a farm to take care of.

"It's obvious that they are all well taken care of. The horses are well taken care of," Clark said. "Everything is well taken care of, animal-wise."

Police said they have some leads and are in the process of getting cell phone and bank records.

They said there was no sign of obvious struggle.

If you've seen or heard from Pat Last this past weekend, please call Versailles police at 859-873-3126.

For the second time police took to the sky to look for 65-year-old Patricia Last, who has been missing for several days.

Patricia Last was last reported to be at her Woodford County home Friday evening around midnight.

On Saturday friends went to check on her when she didn't answer her cell phone, and found she was missing.

They say her home was unlocked and her keys, cell phone, and credit cards were still inside.

On Sunday police flew over Last's 80-acre land looking for her, and searched the Kentucky River on Monday.

Today they continued their search, using 27 SKYFIRST and our thermal imaging technology to scan the area.

Police tell us they have several leads in this case that they are looking into, but right now the case is wide open. Although they consider it a missing persons case, they haven't ruled foul play out.

A | A | A We have some new information in the search for a missing central Kentucky woman.

Police now believe Patricia Last, the Versailles woman they've been looking for for more than a week, left on her own.

Her keys, cell phone, all her cars and her 75 horse were left at her Woodford County farm, but Last hasn't been seen or heard from in more than a week.

New evidence and interviews with friends and family have led police to believe the 55-year-old left on her own, but what happened to her after that they just don't know.

Police tell 27 NEWSFIRST they haven't ruled out foul play or that Last doesn't want to be found.

Investigators have interviewed her husband who lives in another state. They have been separated for about 7 years and at this point, police say he doesn't appear to be involved.

Investigators continue to try and track activity on Last's bank account, but so far they say there hasn't been any.

Updated: Oct 23, 2008 10:43 AM EDT

The family of a Woodford County woman missing for two weeks is offering a big reward to help find her.

Police have searched land, water and from the air for 65-year-old Patricia Last, but they say what they have found makes it look like she left on her own. Her son says he is convinced someone forced her to go because a new riding lawn mower, a compressor and a 15-20 foot trailer are also missing.

"Eleven days have passed now since my mother has disappeared and at this point, we don't really think that she just wandered off as has been suspected by the police," said Patricia's son Trey Medlin.

The family is offering a $10,000 reward for any information that leads to her. If you know anything, please call Versailles police at (859) 873-3126.

Police Search Again For Missing Woman

Posted: Nov 1, 2008 07:51 PM CDT

Police in Woodford County have wrapped up one more lengthy search for Patricia Last, who hasn't been seen in a month.

The 65-year old Woodford County woman went missing from her home in October. Police already did one search and found that her purse, cars and cell phone had not been touched, along with her 75 horses.

Her family became suspicious when they noticed a new lawn mower and trailer missing. Which is why, at the family's request, police are searching again.

The family is offering a $10,000 reward for information. If you know anything about the whereabouts of Patricia Last, call Versailles Police.

Police say there are no current suspects in the case.

Last's family has increased a reward for her whereabouts from $10,000 to $25,000.

Body Found In Ravine; Police Probe If It Is Missing Woman
Posted: March 26, 2009 05:28 PM EDT
Updated: March 26, 2009 05:42 PM EDT

Police are investigating whether a body found wrapped in a tarp at the bottom of a Woodford County ravine Thursday is that of a Versailles woman missing since October.

The body was found around 3 p.m. off of Lillard's Ferry Road. So far, police have not said much about the discovery, including revealing the gender of the body.

Police have been searching for Patricia Last, who disappeared October 10. Police believe Richard Kincaid, 40, a former employee of Last, was the last person to see her before she disappeared. Kincaid was later arrested and charged with receiving stolen property after a lawn mower, trailer and air compressor taken from Last's farm were recovered in Mercer County.

Police have not said if Kincaid is a suspect in Last's disappearance.

Last's family has offered a reward of $25,000 for information on her whereabouts.

Body identified as missing Woodford woman's

A body found in rural Woodford County was identified Friday as that of Patricia Last, who has been missing since fall.

The remains, wrapped in a tarp, were found about 3:30 p.m. Thursday near Lillard Ferry Road, about 6 miles south of Versailles, police said.

An autopsy was scheduled Friday morning at the state medical examiner's office in Frankfort. Dental records were used to confirm the identity, authorities said.

The last contact anyone had with the 65-year-old Last, who ran a horse farm in southern Woodford County, was Oct. 10.

A former employee, Richard Kincaid, 42, of Salvisa, was indicted in February. He was charged with possessing some of Last's stolen property. Police have questioned Kincaid about Last's disappearance.

Police recovered a trailer, lawn mower, string weed cutter and an air compressor that had belonged to Last.
