D'd Body Found In Sharon Identified As Mass. Man Police Say Man Died Of Gunshot Wounds POSTED: 4:38 pm EDT September 23, 2009 SHARON, N.H. -- A body found in the woods of Sharon over the weekend has been identified. Investigators said fingerprint analysis confirmed that the man found was Eric Fitting, 33, of Fall River, Mass. "We were able to identify Eric through fingerprint analysis from the fingerprints we took on him," said Assistant Attorney General Benjamin Agati. "We were able to track him down through both New Hampshire system and Massachusetts. After that, a comparison was made by two sets of analysts, and we confirmed that it is him." The body was discovered by a hunter in woods of Route 123 on Saturday. Police released images of distinctive tattoos on the body in the hope that the public could help identify him. Fitting died of gunshot wounds, and the death has been ruled a homicide. "Right now, we are trying to speak to everyone in Eric's family, friends co-workers -- everybody who was a part of his life -- to try to find out where he was, what he was doing, the people he was spending time with, what his activities were in the preceding weeks before his death," Agati said. Investigators said anyone with information on the death or anyone who had contact with Fitting prior to his death should call state police at 603-271-3636 or 603-271-2663. http://www.wmur.com/news/21089186/detail.html |
