A man found the remains on March 9 while walking his dog in the Skull Valley area, Yavapai County sheriff’s deputies said. Initial examinations of the remains revealed a female victim between the age of 50 and 80 at the time of death, investigators said. They said she was approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall with an arthritic condition that may have left her immobile during her elder years. The remains are between 1 and 5 years old, investigators said. Investigators also determined her mouth contained upper dentures and some dental fillings in the remaining teeth. “The hair and hair style of the victim in the sketch is complete conjecture and should not necessary be considered an original authentic feature of this person,” YCSO said. Investigators have encouraged those with information about the victim or the remains to contact the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office at 928-771-3260. |
