No Image Available Unidentified Hispanic Female The victim was discovered on June 4, 2003 in Sasabe, Pima County, Arizona. Estimated Date of Death: 2002-2003. State of Remains: Not recognizable - Near complete or complete skeleton. One or both hands not recovered. Cause and Manner of Death: Unknown. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vital Statistics Estimated Age: 20-29 years old. Approximate Height and Weight: 5'3" to 5'7" and unknown weight. Distinguishing Characteristics: Red, auburn or reddish-brown hair and unknown eye color. Clothing: "Provision Co. Cape Fear" brand black T-shirt, "Beefy T" brand blue T-shirt (size XL 46-48), "San Francisco" brand, "Tultex" blue sweatshirt (size L), cut brown sweatshirt, "Solo" brand green plaid shirt (size XXL), "Freestyle For Living" brand blue fleece jacket (size XL), and "FTL" brand white briefs (size 34-36). The clothing was comingled with the remains and clothing of another female. Dentals: X-rays are available. Antemortem loss of the three 1st premolars may suggest that the individual had been under orthodontic care to minimize anterior crowding of dental arcades, no active caries. DNA: mtDNA and nucDNA is available at UNT (ref 10-1990). Fingerprints: Not available due to skeletonization and missing elements. Other: "Jansport" brand green backpack, "Street Bag" brand gray backpack, syringe tubing and Spanish language presumed antivenom, toothpaste, toothbrushes, religious cards, paper with names and telephone numbers including "Jorge Mendoza Orantes" "0017099375335." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Case History The victim's skeletal remains were found comingled with Hot Case 2275 by a U.S. Customs helicopter searching a well-traveled migrant route.
