Unidentified White Male Located on March 17, 1986 in Goliad County, Texas. The victim died of injuries after being struck by an airplane propeller the same day he was located. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vital Statistics Estimated age: 24 - 30 years old Approximate Height and Weight: 5'9 - 5'10; 185 - 190 lbs. Distinguishing Characteristics: Black hair; brown eyes. He had a moustache. Clothing: He was wearing Wrangler jeans; a blue t-shirt; and white tennis shoes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Case History The victim died after being struck by an airplane propeller, as the plane landed in a secluded pasture in Goliad County, Texas on March 17, 1986. The unidentified man was hit and fatally injured by a stolen Cessna when the pilot apparently failed to properly recover from a bounced landing and broke a landing gear wheel. Local authorities believe the man's body was then transported about four miles and thrown into the river and the aircraft deliberately burned. The docket is stored on NTSB microfiche number 30454. 14 CFR Part 91: General Aviation Accident occurred Monday, March 17, 1986 in GOLIAD, TX Aircraft: CESSNA TU206F, registration: N6633T Injuries: 1 Fatal, 1 Uninjured. THE PILOT APPARENTLY FAILED TO PROPERLY RECOVER FROM A BOUNCED LANDING AND BROKE A LANDING GEAR WHEEL. THE AIRCRAFT HIT AND FATALLY INJURED A PERSON ON THE GROUND. LOCAL AUTHORITIES BELIEVE THE PERSONS BODY WAS THEN TRANSPORTED ABOUT FOUR MILES AND THROWN INTO THE RIVER AND THE AIRCRAFT DELIBERATELY BURNED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS REPORTED BY ITS OWNER AS HAVING BEEN STOLEN ON 1/29/86.
