Light brown hair, blue/green eyes. Furrer has scarring on one of his arms as a result of childhood burn injuries. He wears eyeglasses. Furrer has dual citizenship in the United States and Switzerland. Some agencies spell his name "Denis." Details of Disappearance Furrer was last seen departing from MWI Corporation on northwest 2nd Street in Deerfield Beach, Florida on December 22, 1995. He worked as a mechanical engineer at the pump manufacturing company. Furrer was scheduled to visit with his family members during the Christmas holidays, but he never arrived as planned and has not been heard from again. Furrer's navy 1986 Isuzu I-Mark was discovered abandoned in the Galleria Mall parking lot in Fort Lauderdale, Florida several days after his disappearance. His personal belongings and cash were left inside the vehicle. There was no sign of Furrer at the scene. Authorities suspect that foul play was involved in Furrer's case. He is described as a responsible and studious person who planned to return to college to study business administration in the future, and eventually open his own mechanical engineering firm. His family stated he was not the kind of person to become involved with anything dangerous. Furrer resided in Oakland Park, Florida in 1995. His case remains unsolved.
