Foul play is suspected in her case, and DPS needs your help to find her and anyone responsible for her disappearance. “Even the smallest bit of information regarding Teresa Barnett’s disappearance could help investigators solve this case,” said DPS Director Col. Thomas Davis Jr. Teresa was last seen in Marshall, Texas, on Aug. 7, 1987. She went missing at about 10:30 a.m. in the Eckerd’s parking lot off of Highway 59. Her vehicle was later found unlocked and abandoned in the same parking lot. Her purse was subsequently found beside a roadway approximately three miles away. Teresa’s birthday is Oct. 28, 1956, and she would be 49 this year. She is described as a 5-foot-2-inch white woman, weighing 100 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, a small scar above the right side of her lip, and pierced ears. She also wears glasses. At the time of her disappearance, she was 30-years old. DPS encourages anyone with information about this case to call the nearest DPS Special Crimes office or the Missing Persons Clearinghouse at 1-800-346-3243. Individuals could earn up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of person(s) criminally involved in the disappearance of Teresa Barnett.
