Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance

Missing Since: December 11, 1984 from Austin, Texas
Classification: Endangered Missing
Date Of Birth: July 1, 1959
Age: 25 years old
Height and Weight: 5'6, 130 pounds
Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian female. Brown hair, brown eyes. McCully has a tattoo of a yellow and red rose on her abdomen. She wears contact lenses. Her nickname is Sarah.
Clothing/Jewelry Description: A blouse, dark blue slacks with white pinstripes and red-striped white tennis shoes.


Details of Disappearance

McCully was last seen on December 11, 1984 in Austin, Texas. She was driving east on Howard Lane towards Interstate 35 at the time of her disappearance. She was doing Christmas shopping that day and was last seen after she left a lunch date with her husband. She dropped him off at his job and drove away.
McCully's white 1965 Volkswagen, which had an orange hood, was discovered abandoned at an apartment complex in the 8600 block of Research Boulevard in Austin shortly she went missing. The apartment complex is five and a half miles away from where she was last seen. Fingerprints were found on the vehicle but there was no evidence to implicate anyone in her disappearance. A witness stated McCully was seen getting out of her car with a man, but this has not been confirmed.

McCully was employed as a nurse at the time of her disappearance and dreamed of going to medical school. Authorities believe she was taken against her will.
