Deadspin Temple Football Article

Don't get me wrong. I'm firmly ensconced in my football bandwagon chair, but I can be a reasonable guy occasionally. The link takes you to an article on how Temple, after a bunch of conference miscues and lessons on how not to fiscally run a football program, is dropping several sports, including baseball.

I visited Philly this past summer, and can confirm a number of points the commentators make. Their campus is even more land-locked than Tulame's. There's no room for in-campus facilities, leading to expensive rentals. I'll also confirm seeing a Temple football ad on every third billboard in the metro Philly area. I would argue they didn't get much bang for their buck there.

And FYI, Deadspin has a host of bad language and edgy humor. It's also one of the funniest websites on sports out there. You've been warned. ;)
