Privateers in a stupor early in Lake Charles. Wondering where the team that beat UTEP is... 19-8 down.

Is this team regressing? Are they pressing due to pressures on the road? New conf? I don't get it. Turnovers have plagued most of Schless's teams but they've not be with this current talent always. And Mcneese is only averaging 37% shooting so if you play the usual D, you should compete.

It's early but if they go 0-2 on this short and manageable road trip, I'll start to wonder.

Dunno... team has been consistently awful since UTEP. Was hoping between Minny second half and entire UTEP game, they'd turned a corner, but it doesn't look that way at this point. Down 37-22 at half.

Today's assist:turnover ratio is 2:14 thus far. Brutal stuff. 43-30 down.

82-69 final. Never really in this one. Cory Dixon had 24 and 17 for UNO, but also seven turnovers and a technical foul. Tra McPhearson also picked up a tech. Two seniors.

As @UNOPrivatr tweeted, we're never going to win a game where Derenbecker is scoreless. He's shooting 2-for-16 in Southland play so far.

Very disappointing start to conference play. I don't consider either of these two teams anywhere near the best in the conference, and this is not a very good basketball conference.

that's the thing.............if you can't beat the bottom dwellers, what are you?

Now I will say that this is ALL new to this young guys and the coach....well, at least the players but maybe the win at UTEP swelled their head?

That said, turnovers is just like in football...unless you're the colts :) you get your arse handed to you. Mcneese and Nicholls. WOW, I'm old so I remember the good old days.

Baby steps I guess.
