We wondered on this week's podcast whether something may be up with Derenbecker medically. What it is is not specified. We know he's had foot issues that can be pretty debilitating, although citing the need for privacy makes you think it's something else. But he's leaving the team, the article says, and "will not return this season." So I guess the possibility is left that he could come back next season, but who knows. Big loss for this team, though. Ouch. Hopefully Coach Sless will have some good talent coming in for next season, but you've got to think that a healthy Derenbecker would still be solid contributor next year. Best of luck to him in his recovery. |
