The article quoting Morrel fails to address what delayed the construction. And it failed to address if the advertised ticket prices include tickets to wherever the games are played.

The official Twitter just posted this: "BSB: To clarify, all STH will have reserved seats at Zephyr & Barrow Fields as part of the season-ticket package. No Extra Tickets Needed."

As for what delayed the construction, since they're attempting to spin this as a sort of a deliberate choice made by the department versus a construction delay, you may not hear anything official on that front.

They've just tweeted that season ticket holders don't need extra tickets to the affected games. They will be included in the season ticket package.

I guess that means the insane, astronomical prices aren't coming down then. Oh well.

So a $125 season ticket will cover the entire season, regardless of where it will be played. I was going to buy two $300 tickets, but now will have to decide if I even want season tickets. But if I do, the $125 general admission may be a better deal, especially since the Zephyr games are general admission, except for LSU. Crap, maybe I'll just go to a few games and buy single game tickets. My head hurts, and I'm not getting much work done.

"Tickets for the New Orleans vs. LSU game at Zephyr Field are on sale now."

Nothing like announcing it to your fans after you put tickets on sale. :(

I understand spinning things. However, do they all think we are stupid? They sold the game as LSU helping UNO open up the renovated stadium. Now they are acting like this is a win, win. It is not, it is a big fail, it may not be their fault but it is a big disappointment. To act differently is insulting!

I just told my Dad about this and he brought up a good point. 7 games at Zephyr field means an EXTRA 35 dollars to park on top of the incredibly ridiculously silly ticket prices.

Although, based on the ticket prices, it wouldn't surprise me if they had also been planning to charge for parking at Maestri Field this year.

That brings up another question. If you join The VIP Home Plate Krewe, parking is included. Does that include Zephyr and Barrow parking?

Oh well. I'm not surprised, but I thought maybe UNO would surprise me and get something done on time. It's a baseball field, not the Taj Mahal, and they've known that it was supposed to be ready by opening day for well over a year. SOS.
