As mentioned on the Privateer Island Podcast earlier in the week, Houston Baptist provides a free stream for all of their home games. Tune in live tonight at the link below.

Yep, just liberal substitution by Sless. Bucs looking okay so far, up 14-12. This should be a close one.

Wow, the freshman guards are doing work from beyond the arc and the Privateers are crashing the offensive glass nicely. Up 25-17 at the under 8.

So far (with 7 mins left in the 1st half) these particular refs are letting them play a bit. Nothing like the last few games.

Getting good offensive rebounds but missing tooooooo many 2 footers. Still, the outside shots have fallen from 3. When HBU goes to zone, it slows em down but for some reason, they keep going back to man to man and we hurt em.

Wow. That place is smaller than my high school gym.

It's even smaller than my middle school gym.

Yea, certainly not a D1 gym I'd say.

Looks like we've started puking with 2 mins left in the half JUST LIKE sat night. Can't seem to handle success too well. Ive lost count of how many 1 ftrs were missed and a dunk.

UNO somehow losing 36-35 at half now. Absolutely BLITZED at the end of the half. Stopped defending entirely. Gill, who was otherwise excellent, tops off the blitzing by shooting with 8 seconds left in the half for some reason, leaving the door open for more terrible Privateer transition defense and a completely unguarded HBU layup at the buzzer.

The HBU announcer on the live video feed sees uncalled travels everywhere he looks.

Yea pretty unbelievable how it turned in 5 mins.....and how can they leave HBU's tallest played open under the basket 4 times for uncontested shots and we get one and he can't put it in?

Seems like it's been at least a half hour since our last defensive stop. That might actually be true. 43-41 HBU.

Bucs reestablish themselves, back up 57-51 now. Nice stretch by Isaac Mack in there, his best stretch in Southland play thus far. Really think this one's going down to the wire like all of HBU's games of late.

HBU rarely missing when they actually shoot, but the Privateers are dominating the glass.

Privateers up 10 and 3:24 away from pulling off a road win. Hopefully we don't see a repeat of the end of the first half.

Christavious Gill continues to come along REALLY nicely. This kid looks like he's developing into the player we thought he might back in the preseason.

Another McPhearson three plus an HBU coach tech, and UNO widens the lead to 14. Nice!

Their coach is trying to be a Jim Harbaugh clone and their announcer sure likes to use the words "TRAVELLING". Sure, maybe one or two were but not 10.

If they lose this game now with 2:44 left and a 14 pt lead, I'm meeting them at their bus!

The announcer is absolutely obsessed with travelling. It's comical.

UNO going to win this one comfortably. Wow! Outside of one four-minute stretch, the Privateers were dominant tonight. Love to see that anytime, but especially on the road.

Cory Dixon continues to be a total knucklehead sometimes, picking up a taunting technical with UNO up 18. It's his third technical in Southland play. Frankly I'd think about sitting him down for a game. I'm tired of it.

Doesn't mar a great effort from the Privateers though. 79-66 final.

Agreed. He and the team haven't done anything to gloat about. He's a SR and should act like one, not a Sherman wanna be.

And yes, this was a good win. Don't like how they totally shut down with 5 to go in the 1st half but I DO like that they didn't get too lost over it. And my pet peeve the FT............at one point were at 80%. That'll win you close games and when you throw in the rebounds, you can compete. It wasn't against a good team but after the way they last on Sat, this one was needed.

...yet they played a 7-game football season this year and will play a full season and full Southland slate in 2014. :(
