Any word on whether the game will be played tonight in Hammond? I know I-55 is still closed and SLU is closed today.

SLU sent a tweet yesterday saying that, though school was closed, the basketball games would be played. Haven't heard anything contrary to that since.

Sorry, I just checked the uno site and it is available thru a paid subscription at slu. I think it's about $7.

Guys seem to be playing well but a few rushed shots, careless turnovers and the seemingly late first half collapse seem to show up in the last 4 mins of almost every game. (had an 8 pt lead mid first half) Seems when 2 starters went out with 2 fouls, things went south.........

Hopefully schless can do what he did the last 2 games and have them adjust at half and pull away. Don't want to give this one away to 'self inflicted wounds' as Jude stated. (and maybe 2 questionable calls?)

Sounds like as many privateer fans as lion fans....but maybe the radio is close to the bench?

Refs are a piece of work tonight as usual. UNOPrivatr to ref: "Why don't you dye your hair a little darker?"

I heard them talking coming onto the floor, they didn't exactly sound like Rhodes scholars. Anyway...

39-39 half.

How's the crowd? That's not a bad place to watch basketball.

WHEW! Had to sweat that one out but it would've been a crime to have lost that one (had 2 others we likely should've won like this) ....but MAN, 3 in a row on the road? Come on, REALLY?

And the freshman gill? This kid can only get better, right?

Still unbeaten against the Lions! Who saw this three game road streak coming?

From where we've come from, this little conference win streak, on the road no less, is awesome.

Another recruiting class and Coach Sless might just have something special going here.

More than anything else this season has made me comfortable with Sless' eye for talent. When you remove Link Nelson and Lovell Cook, two fairly solid players, from a team that went 8-18, and can be noticeably better, then obviously quality reinforcements have been brought in in large numbers. EVERY freshman on this team is contributing. Kevin Hill as a sophomore has developed nicely. The team seems to have jelled after the Derenbecker departure/Incarnate Word mess.

Dixon will be missed especially but also Mack and McPhearson -- but Sless knows how to find the 6'4"-6'6" overlooked wing guys that can contribute and a new wave of those are coming next year, plus a new 6'7" or 6'8" guy that seems pretty highly touted. Just want to see a PG or perhaps Frye develop into the main guy there.

I was just wondering last night after the game.....what will they do to replace Dixon and the SR leadership? But I do like the way the younger guys are playing and I too feel a little better about the leftover guys that Schless is able to get, the sort of, diamonds that need some polish.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, tho I've only talked to coach once or twice for only 5 mins, ALL the stuff I've read about him, heard from some of you and just by watching his actions,./.......this guy is as sincere and decent as any coach we've ever had. I really want them to do good for him.
