Not a great opening night on Friday for Southland basketball. The only wins we got were home games against sub-DI competition. In six road games vs DI's, we went 0-6. Four were absolute blowouts. SLU was close at half against OKST, but then got drummed late. The only bright spot was Houston Baptist. They led at the half at Northwestern, before falling by seven.

Big game today in the league as Sam Houston State, one of our best, travels to play UNLV.

Sam Houston came close, but after the first four days of the season the Southland still doesn't have a DI win. At least we don't have any non-DI losses yet.
