I saw several banners at the game last night with ESPN 100.3 on them. Apparently, local FM radio station KLEB is going to a sports format. There is a link on their website to UNO Athletics, but there's no indication which I can see that they'll be broadcasting our games. |

It appears that UNO will not have a Radio Staion which is ridiculous. I understand I can isten on the computer or the phone. However, when in my car or in my home I perfer the radio. I remember many of my favorite moments in UNO sports from big road wins. Even the wine we "stole" from Tim last year. They could have found a station and sold the advertisements. Other schools do it even for the women's games. |

Yea......while I understand WHY it's not being done, it just shows that UNO continues to fall lower and lower into the abyss. You have schools that 15 years ago you never heard about on the sports and now, they have football and are playing in bowl games. And yet we continue to have and do less and less. It's embarrassing.....and it hurts. |

It hurts for sure. What chance do you have of picking up new fans if the only people who can hear your games are the ones who care so much that they are going to make an effort to find them online. There is space in New Orleans radio for UNO games, there is just no one who wants to put together the package and go and sell it to advertisers. Look how many high school football games are on radio each weekend. Someone is making money on those broadcasts. |

So is it confirmed that none of the UNO basketball games are going to be broadcast? Agree with NSPRIVATEER here. Has to be a way to get these games on the radio somewhere. I know I kinda sound like a broken record and a complainer. And not to bring up the football debate again. But everything points to what we CAN'T do. What can we do? What are we doing? Is there a plan to improve things? Is Privateer15...the super secret separate fundraising campaign...our best effort to change things? |
