I had to miss most of the first half but it was a 5 pt game when I stopped and almost 20 at half. Guys made a little run in the 2nd but were just up against a better team. Sure sounded like they did MUCH better at the line, in the 70's. Compared to tues night and last year, that's AWESOME. Had a 50+% shooting night for a while. and only a moderate amount of turnovers.

But from what I heard, they weren't awful, just don't have the talent of TCU. Hopefully a good learning experience.

Jude said it was a 27 pt game at one time but they cut it to 13 a few times.

Defeat not surprising in this game, though TCU is a lesser Big 12 program, but I was pleased to see UNO come out and play a very strong second half after getting drilled 54-33 in the first half. Everybody knows by now that UNO under Sless has had a tendency to really hang their heads when they get down double digits and some games have really gotten completely out of control. At least nice to see the Privateers hang in there and actually win the second half. Really just one really lousy stretch for a few minutes at the end of the first half, otherwise UNO was right there.

Lot needs to be cleaned up defensively though. TCU shot 57% from the field and only had 8 turnovers.

It is unusual in a game like this for the road Southland team to shoot and make more FTs than the home Big 12 team. Definitely some positives from this one.
