No high expectations, but I'm excited at the opportunity to watch the Privateers face the Aggies on national television today.

Preview? Predictions?

A win would be nice. My cousins from Texas are raiding my mother's pantry as we speak. It would be a "talking point" for, oh, the next decade or so at the holidays. ;)

Given that they took out Northwestern State by 41, yeah, no great expectations for this one. Just want to hang in there and give a representative performance that makes us think we can do well in the Southland. Early on, looks like it might be Billy Kennedy's best A&M team.

Hung in for most of the first half. Is it too late to say that I'm thankful that Brown transferred to UNO? Hoping we can keep up the energy in the second half.

Sort of similar to the TCU game in that we only had about five really bad minutes. A&M is better than TCU and they outmanned us outside of those five minutes (whereas we played TCU about even), but a respectable performance from UNO.

Really transition defense looks like the area that needs a lot of work. Even Pensacola Christian exploited that a little bit, and skilled high-level D1 teams can really pummel us that way as A&M did for a portion of the second half when the game really got away from us.

Weisbrod really finds ways to get layups, even against an SEC front court. I like him.

Saw a lot to be hopeful about.

But A&M is clearly a cut above.

It was good to see UNO on TV again and can't wait for the Indiana and San Diego games.

Next up is Sunday at Denvery so I guess about 2pm I'll want to turn off the saints game? Not much to hope for this weekend.

Yesterday was a rough day for my teams.

Privateers, Crusaders and Pelicans were all on TV...and all lost.

<_<

I think maybe too many of us sold our athletic souls for the superbowl..........and it's hard to face the piper now :)

I watched a recording of the game last night. Pretty solid first half. Foul trouble hurt us -- we're a pretty small team, so we need to get more than 9 minutes out of Syon. 20+ minutes against a pretty good opponent for two of the freshmen won't hurt in the long haul.

Overall, some positives. Hopefully it won't be long before we're winning a good percentage of these types of games again.
