I believe it is time to retire Bo's Jersey Number 1 and rehang Irving Johnson and Sandra Hodge's Jersey's in the arena. For some reason Johnson and Hodge's Jerseys were not replaced after Katrina. No reason was ever given. Lets get that done this season!

I would hang jerseys of UNO athletes only if they have graduated from UNO. I am not sure if Bo has completed his degree but Ervin did and that was part of the philosophy back when Tim came back to play UNO after Ervin got his degree and had his jersey hung.

I know it is petty to some but that degree is earned and many of us without the athletic talent worked very hard for that piece of paper. (and yes I am jealous of the athletic talent of Bo and others.......but I would like him to be like those of us who have a degree even if I can't be nearly as good as he is on the court.....)

I think that should be the policy for hanging anyone's jersey at UNO. But then again that is just my opinion.

GO PRIVATEERS!!

I understand the importance of a degree and I respect that opinion. However, as a public university UNO is challenged to prepare people to go out in the world and better themselves. UNO did just that with Bo and he is a perfect example of UNO helping a local student make it. Even if the degree is a requirement to retire or hang a jersey why hasn't Irving's and Sandra's Jersey returned to the rafters of Lakefront Arena?
