Since they love to post video of the timeout game, here's some UNO video goodies for the occasion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lwIfKpR9EQ |

Saw on Twitter that they will be busing close to 50 students uptown for the game. Could be a fun atmosphere! |

I am planning to attend the game. I hope we have some UNO magic. I remember meeting Bo and his Mom at Tulane the game. Patrick Harrington (RIP) was pumped as was Monte to have him sign with us. Needless to say beating Tulane and ULL are on my Christmas wish list this season as well as a Southland title and going to the NCAA tournament as an 11 seed. (But I would just take going to the tournament.....) |

Great stuff....I remember this game VERY well. That team is one of my favorite UNO teams of my lifetime.......great coach, great times.......hard to believe that was almost 20 years ago....DAMN! |

Refs still blowing lots of whistles. Tulane is a bad shooting and rebounding team but UNO AGAIN misses layup after layup after tip up after layup. 3 in a row. Then has two telegraphed passes stolen. UNO looks like the more athletic team to me (via video) but UNO seems too lackadaisical and can't buy a layup or FT most of the time. Come on guys, beat these Greenies!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I'll quote Jude......"THIS IS UGLY! not a time capsule game" We are pathetically awful so far in the first half. Can't make 2 ft shots, even uncontested, missed a wide open dunk, clanking ft's, fouling like it's the last game in basketball history. But we're rebounding well. Look, Tulane is awful. Really bad.......so I don't want to think what this makes us. Here's to a better second half with less whistles, more made shots, at least half of our fts and a win on the road against a bad team.

Halftime stats.......AWFUL! http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball...ameId=400820363 24% shooting.....I'd estimate that besides the 0-7 3pt attempts, EVERYTHING else missed was within 3 ft of the basket.....and ugly. |

Whew... watching this team shoot just flat-out hurts. Reed is the only genuinely good shooter on the team and when he's missing his few opportunities... these are the numbers you're gonna get. |

And I thought I was being nice with my comments. Seriously, I don't want to be so negative but what I've seen is NO progression this year. Better talent, but no results. And for the life of me, and believe me, I am TIRED OF TYPING THE SAME ThING EVERY GAME......this team can't shoot ft's. I don't care if someone spouts that they practice them...if so, then they're doing THAT wrong too. It's worse than HS basketball. BELIEVE ME And while I REALLY like their hustle...this kids don't quit......there ain't a live body on that team that can consistently make a simple, basic, biddy ball layup. It's really frustrating. Can you tell it bothers me? Sorry guys, I'm just calling it like I see it. I can't lie and be a politician and say what some want to here...its here in ugly color. Now I hope the second half makes me shut the hell up

If you can't shoot, you won't shoot FTs well either. Get better shooters and guys will make FTs. Reed looks great at the foul line. Still, look around college basketball, good shooters are in very short supply. Easier said than done to recruit a few to a second division Southland school, but that's the task at hand. |

A little life.....seems the ZONE defense has gotten Tulane to get jittery.....some bad passes and rushed shots.......cut the lead to 5 at one point. Still giving up some second chance points but if the defense can keep this up and IF we can hit some ft's..........???????????? |

Jude seems to be getting a tad pissed at some no calls and a total wide open miss on a steal by Broyles. Can't explain it myself. But.....but.....UNO's defense is making this a game. |

Reed left the bench to go to the locker room with what looked like a knee issue. Not 2 mins later, kevin Hill goes down in pain with what seemed to be an ankle issue. |

It did not appear that anything grotesque happened to Hill's leg on the way down. I couldn't see exactly where he hurt it. Hopefully not as bad as it looked since he needed to be helped off, but it did make me wonder about a medical redshirt. It's game six, is that too deep into the year? |

Hill's back in so fortunately that's not a concern. |
