This one is a red flag. 81-57 loss, never in the game at any point. Blowout from the first few minutes. Team looked unprepared, little effort, inability to make any shots (which were numerous) inside 10 feet. As Jude said, contenders don't get embarrassed like this at home, especially by a decent but not great UCA team. Bears certainly made their layups. UNO surrendered a ton of them and seemed content to just watch. UCA shot 4-for-18 from three, didn't even do well at their thing. The only way you can lose to this team when they're shooting like that from outside is if you're not trying. Travin gave it his usual go, but that was about it. Will be interested if they show up on Saturday for a bad Incarnate Word team. They have looked awful on this home stand. Gotta give a shout-out to the ladies though, huge and shocking win at formerly 6-0 UCA tonight, 52-48. Great job!! I did not see that one coming. |

You said it steve, they didn't even seem to care. Coach just sat there for most of the game except when he complained to a ref (while wasting the time left of a needed time out). I'm not sure the last time I was embarrassed to be at a game. Prolly a saints game in the early 80s. This was a shit show from the start. Up 2-0, it went downhill fast. Closest it got was 11 and on our way to maybe cut it down, we literally (not overused here) GAVE the ball to the other team. I stopped counting at 13 passes straight to the other team (not counting the ones we keep trying over the top when a defender knows its coming and is standing in front of our player just waiting for it) That was probably 5 more, but by that point I didn't care to even count them. What I read earlier from UALR's comments is TOTALLY wrong. UCA plays a very good defense, crowded the boards, were fast at covering, adjusted our shots, blocked them, rebounded them. Our defense tonite was the worst this year by far (including the money games). Make no mistake, UCA is MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better than UNO.....by exponential numbers....at least tonite (the only time it counts). Fortunately, we don't play them again. Hopefully not in the tournament either. If they could play that well every game, they'd only lose 2 the whole year. We got their best tonite. The style of offense the play suits their players. AMAZED at their 2 FR 15 and 55. Sure their star is great. He hits from everywhere, is fast and knows how to handle the ball. but their constant movement, SHARP PASSES, consistent back door cuts, and actually making layups while getting fouled is the TOTAL opposite of what we did tonite. We had some looks underneath, just missed them all. But the constant FU_)#&*$ING passing is killing this team. I'm sorry to say that I really, honestly believe that the 4-0 start and some road wins got to their heads. They haven't shown up for 2 home games. You just can't lose at home and make it in this league. Now we have 4 straight games against 2 of the same teams.....both of whom we should win. We'll need these 4 to even attempt at cleaning the taste of ass out of our mouths.....the team and fans. At least 50-60 students tonite and they play like what I flushed down this morning. Just pisses me off to see these guys not show up. I'm ok with getting beaten by better talent and coaching (and BOTH were obvious tonite) but to continue making the SAME.MISTAKES.EVERY.SINGLE.GAME. is on coach. They didn't quit tonite because they were never in it. PS. sorry for any mispelled words but my hands are full of crap from wiping it off of my jacket from sitting to close to the crapfest. |

Tonite is not all on TT. He did have 2 stupid passes but at least he was able to drive to the basket and make a shot https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=dLeHW844yIE |

I noticed that UCA got WALLOPED at home by ACU. Just makes our home loss that much crappier. |

And how did we beat ACU back in December? Maybe Diontae Champion is a bigger player than I had thought. |

Seems like ACU must be improving and we may be taking a step back. The next 3-4 games should tell the tale. |
