So that we're not making Geos of this and Dracos of that. Lets make it clear here what will take what niche here are mine: Ichthyosaurs: Fast pelagic/coastal predators like dolphins and orcas. Nothosaurs: Otter and seal niche Plesiosaurs: Sperm whale-like slender creatures, attacking shoals of squid, belamites, and ammonites. Fictodilophids: Medium sized scavangers and fish eaters like flightless herons and jackals. Geosuchids: Mustlid analogs Just letting you know these guys live to the present but may be more or less diverse. I will make some groups that do go extinct(Protogeosuchids for example.) So what other niches will be filled and what new ones will be made? |

Meh why not for emphasis. Also Aquatic Dicynodonts: Tropical herbivores that can't come back to land, tusked animals that live in cooler areas where Doswelliids can't live, and Desmostylian analogs that eat shellfish and possibly other things like plants. Earth prime analogs to these^^^: manatee, walrus, hippo Edited by the dark phoenix, Jan 13 2014, 04:55 PM.

DK1000, You had ideas for dicynodonts before. Care to elaborate on groups, niches, and adaptions of them? You showed a platybelodont analog before too BTW. |
