What do we have going on with the pterosaurs so far? What families can we work with and what have we planned so far? |

So far the only pterosaur concepts I recall are Dilo's jokers. Every available pterosaur group to work with is listed in the Index. |

I'd guess that Preondactylus or Peteinosaurus would give rise to Dimorphodontian or Pseudo Dimorphodontian pterosaurs which would later give rise to vulture-like pterosaurs or mostly carnivorous hornbill-like pterosaurs. Austriadactylus would give rise to fresh water small fish hunters gliding over lakes and rivers and fishing them like a king fisher some may become more terrestrial and hunt small prey. I can't find much info on Carnidactylus. Eudimorphodon could give rise to a large variety of marine pterosaurs ranging from long tailed versions of Pterodactylus to the aquatic pterosaurs Dilo mentioned. Caviramus would produce mollusk and hard shelled insect hunters maybe later in the future they could develop nut crackers and seed eaters. |

IDK much about Carnidactylus but I would assume that it may give rise to the rest the pterosaur diversity. |

You're forgetting the Marine Pterosaurs. |

Can I get away with adding fuzz to the modern geosuchids? It may allow them to dwell in cooler climates. |

What kinds of creatures can we get away with adding fuzz? |

Given feathers are more than likely to basal to most archosaurs, I'd say your safe to include them in your geosuchids. |

Perhaps not my protos but since we're working on the triassic for now, we'd do fuzzy geos later. |

Here are some ideas for the Nothos and Pistos.![]() A otter-like Nothosaur(didn't need to do much) and a Early serpentine Pistosaur(ancestor to the mosasaur-like pistos). ![]() Top, a polycotylid-like pistosaur(Only Cenozoic Plesiosaur-like pisto) Second to top, a very mosasaur-like Pistosaur(Basically the basiliosaurs and mosasaurs of this project) Early serpentine Pistosaur again Bottom, Common plesiosaur-like pistosaur(Dies out in the earliest Paleocene) So the Early Mesozoic will be filled with serpentine and Plesiosaur-like Pistosaurus, The serpentine ones develop into Mosasaur-like ones while the plesiosaur ones give rise to a Polycotylid off shoot. Then the cenozoic comes around and only the mosasaur and polycotylid pistos are left. They would be the world's Orcas, Spermwhales, and dolphins. Filter feeding I'm leaving to you guys and what ever awesome creature you make. |
