Ventriculumedentus rex
V. rex is large (by bacteria standards) with three basic segments. As it's name implies, it appears to eat an animals stomach, but in reality it actually eats the stomach lining, allowing the hydrochloric acid to dissolves the victim's insides. It is coated in a similar substance to the stomach lining, so it doesn't get digested. It lived throughout the Triassic and Jurassic before going extinct.
The image image no.1 is of it's close relative, V. africanus.

Hello new person.

How does one get infected by this bacteria?
It goes into a "sleep mode" when there is no food, and it is usually eaten by carnivores, or sometimes it can contaminate water, and that is how herbivores are infected.

Mind if i ask how we would know of it from Fossils, or does it have a modern ancestor that can be referred to?

Yes, any micro-fossils or descendents?

I saw your question on MN, and it has both fossils and modern relatives, including Ventriculumedentus africanus.
