The psychic Pokemon both seemed to hesitate- or at least the younger one of them, the Kadabra did; but they didn't stop just yet. The strikes at them were enough, when consorted, to distract them for a few moments, and while the Kadabra looked between them and the Alakazam, the Alakazam simply raised his spoons to prepare a shot of 'psychic'.
"Don't do it! Maybe we shouldn't let him take it just because he wants to get a legendary. What fairness is there for us if he does and he trains it to strength? He isn't who he used to be." It was vocal, not telepathic- which showed how irrate the Kadabra was at the matter.

"That's it! Don't let your trainer's greed and lust for power and notoriety compromise your dignity! Let the Zapdos go, and just stop this! You have the power, you don't have to live with this on your conscience." Torch continued to plead with the two Psychic Pokemon. Rapier and Emolga turned their assaults to the psychic-fueled prison for the young Legendary, trying to break through it, but not very successful.
Luka gritted her teeth, wishing she was stronger or had more Pokemon... Likely, the other man had more Pokemon should his two psychics fail... Though, at that point, the barriers would have faded away leaving the two Legendary Birds time to escape. She had to take out the Trainer.. at least get him disoriented enough that he couldn't command his Pokemon, while her Pokemon further tried to dissuade them from their actions.
"Zapdos!" She yelled at the Father of the Birds. She rushed to his side and said in whispered voice. "Send your strongest attack at the Alakazam, we'll take out the Trainer."
She turned and clenched her fist, looking at her Pokemon, and the Emolga that she had met today. "Emolga, use Thundershock! Rapier, use Shadow Sneak! Torch, grab on to Rapier, then when you appear, use your Reversal! Now, on the trainer!"
The three Pokemon sprang into action the Emolga sending out a wave of electrical energy at the Trainer, while Torch and Rapier faded out through the power of the ghost type move, and appeared behind him, Rapier and Torch both trying to get their attacks to connect and take down this poacher.
Suddenly, the man decided to cut to the chase, reaching for numerous more Pokeballs- the full nine allowed by the Prydein league as a legal limit of Pokemon prepared to battle! He did this, yes- and moved to throw them incase his Pokemon betrayed them.
Suddenly, the barrier cracked, a thunder from Zapdos smashing into it and flying with impossible bright intensity at the girl. It would fry her- no doubt electrocute her profoundly.
She would wake up.
It had been a dream, Emolga had hit her in the head and knocked her unconscious. But in the distance, rain could be heard pattering, the peal of thunder. And the momentary glimpse of a pair of bright yellow birds- Zapdos; amongst this.

Luka looked down at the Emolga that had struck her from behind... she rubbed the back of her head, grumbling a few choice expletives, and looking at the little Flying Squirrel Pokemon... she watched the pair of Zapdos fly off... The dream had felt so real, so visceral. But it was still a dream, it seemed... Or was it?
"Oi, that hurt... Watch where you're flying, wee little one~" She scolds the Emolga, making sure it's okay as well. It's raining at the moment, so she and her Pokemon take shelter under an overhang where a big tree had been uprooted what looks like a couple of weeks ago, leaving a big dip in the ground, with the root structure acting as a roof. "You alright there, Torch?"
"Yeah, I'll be alright. Just a little wet..." The Fire-type didn't seem too happy about that, but he was there to help guard and protect his trainer. "How about you? You hit your head pretty hard. Gonna be alright?"
"Aye, I'll be fine.." She muttered, still not used to being able to partially understand her Pokemon.. She turns her gaze to the Emolga, holding the little Electric-Flying-Type. "You're alright, eh lass? Didn't hurt your wee little self, did ye?"
She had an empty Pokeball with her on hand... it was sitting on her backpack at the moment, as she had moved. She could see if she could catch the Emolga. "Looks like you're stuck here too, huh?"
The Emolga was still out cold, letting out cute little breathing noises- but no response beyond that. It's cheeks seemed to flush as she held it, as if the heat of her hand brought a reaction, but really- a Pokemon like this surely needed to be taken care of at a Pokemon center, what if Luka's harder than a Steelix (the words of Wade himself) head had hurt the Emolga?
In the end, it would be the choice of Luka's conscious and no one else if she attempted to catch the Emolga or not.

"Oh fuckin' shit..." Luka swore lightly, looking at the knocked out Pokemon... She grabbed the Pokeball, and tapped it gently on the unconscious Electric-Type... there was hardly any shaking of the sphere before it locked, keeping the Pokemon inside as hers now. She kept Emolga close by, putting her ball on her bandolier or Pokeballs, marking 3 in number.
She checked the weather at the moment... it wasn't quite as heavy rain as she thought it was. She dug through her haversack, pulling out a waterproof poncho that she'd brought, knowing how bad the rains can get in the archipelago. She donned it and smiled, it even providing a little warmth to her slightly cold body. She decided to call back Torch for the moment, and head up the path as quickly as she can... the girl was glad she was wearing her boots today, though the breeze up her kilt was a little chilly.
The path was a bit messy in the rain, gravel and dirt making a proper muck of everything as ahead her, a little boy hopped back and forth in the mud, giggling, and letting out a call of "Krabby Krabby Kokopuffs, Krabby Krabby knocks otha pokemon on their duffs! Krabby Krabby know matter what their buffs!"
And then he noticed her, and grinned, "That's a weird dress, lady!"

"It's not a dress, lad. And what're ye doing out here in the rain? You're like to get sick muckin' about without a raincoat." She says to the boy who says hello to her, smiling at the young rascal who reminds her of her little brother, or a small version of Wade. "I'm Luka. You a Pokemon trainer, kiddo?"
Luka stretches a bit, shivering lightly and looking at the child before her.
"Oy, how much father is it to Ashmere... you know a place where we can duck out of the storm?" Luka asks the boy, her boots caked with mud as the water slides down her poncho harmlessly.
"Looks like a dress to me!" he grins, flopping about in the muck and laughing, skipping here and there and being throughly drenched from the splashing and the rain itself. "There's some caves and forests and cabins if you look, my momma lets me come out here so long as I bring snacks to my uncle's cabin for him. He always lets me have crabcakes! And vegetable crackers for Krabby Krabby Kokopuff! The boy grins, before spinning around and showing her a Pokeball clenched in his hand, clearly a Krabby, given that the Pokemon is visible through the semi-transparent lid.
"But Krabby hass hard times defending me and him from the electrics Pokemons! So we're gonna get stronger!" he grins, "But he needs a teammate! I'm gonna find one! That's why I'm singing!" he grins, thoroughly sure his thought process makes sense.

"Well, aren't you sweet?" She smiles at the boy and watches him. "But how's your singing gonna attract new Pokemon for you to have?" She asks, curious at the boy's logic, but finding it lightly amusing. "My name's Luka, I've got a couple of Pokemon friends too, see?"
She takes out the pokeballs of Torch and Rapier, smiling at the kid and putting them back on her bandolier. She nods as the boy rambles on, hearing about the boy's uncle living nearby.
"Mmm, crabcakes are tasty... And those caves and forests sound like a lot of places you can find neat Pokemon." She says to the little boy, sitting on a nearby rock and looking up at him. "Rain's not so bad as I thought... So, can I meet your Krabby? What's your name, by the way?"
"Wayne!" the boy proudly proclaimed, and tilted his head at her. "Yeah, but momma says me and Krabby can't go into those caves no more after the zubats bit me lots! And Caterpies and Weedles and all sorts of creepy crawlies in the forest! But my momma says 'No Wayne, no Bug Pokemon!' when I ask if I can catch some!"
He nods, grinning and then showing a handful of Pokeballs. "I got these from Professor Mahogany one time! He gave me them for helping him catch a really mean Gyrados that was bullying the Pokemon down by the Gully!" He nods, yes, Professor Mahogany- Wade's grandfather.
"So I can catch whatevers I want, if I can find them! Wanna help?" he grins, totally unaware that there's not many fire, ground, or rock types around here- or that the Caves are where he'd be most likely to find a rock type of Pokemon. "Will you help Wayne, Luka?"

"Sure thing, I'd be glad to help you out, Wayne." Luka agrees to help the boy look for Pokemon... Maybe she'd even find another one that she found useful for herself. Though, getting the Emolga was a decent find... Which reminded her that she had to take it to the Pokemon Center. "You know Professor Mahogany? He's nice old man, isn't he? I've met him a few times. I'm friends with his grandson~" She says slightly proudly.
She smiles at the boy's exuberance, looking around and wondering where the hell they could find some Pokemon for the boy to catch. "Hmm~ Well, what Type of Pokemon are ye lookin' for?"
"Of course! You're friends with me, Luka!" he grinned, and gave a smile that was the spitting image of his older cousin, Wade. Indeed, the dark haired, blue eyed boy looked like Wade, and soon nodded. "I don't care what kind though, they're all good! But what kind is strong against electric types?"

The girl thinks for a minute, and then the name finally clicks. "Oh! You're Wayne! I'm best friends with your Cousin Wade. We lived across the street from each other." She says as the boy says that he's also Mahogany's grandson.
She chuckles a bit and smiles at the little kid, thinking for a minute and then remembering. "Well, Electric types only real weakness is ground type... but stuff like Grass Types aren't hurt very much by Electric types very much."
She smiles at the kid, chuckling at how much he looks like Wade. "So, can I see your Krabby later? I'll bet he's strong. I can show you my Pokemon too, if ya like~"
"His name is Breas!" he grinned, it was a Mahogany clan tradition, really. It was named for a mythological being, his Krabby was. "And we'll lets go try to find one!" he nodded, unhesitant when he did. "Where should we go, Luka?"
