"Alright. I like you, Wayne. You remind me of Wade... you both have that Mahogany sense of adventure and fearlessness~" She said with a smile, looking around and wondering where to head. "Mm~ I'll bet there's some Ground or Rock Type Pokemon in those caves that you talked about... If we can try to keep the Zubats away from us, I think we should be okay. "Hmm~ Let me check something really quick."

Luka checked on her Emolga, examining the Pokemon through the see-through top of the ball. It was still out cold, and wouldn't be waking up soon, it seemed. It must've knocked its head on Luka's. "Well, my Emolga's out cold... So I dunno. Plus, your Mom said she doesn't want you going into the caves, so there's that." She looked at Wayne and thought for a few moments. "Hmm~ I wonder if we could find anything up in the trees, or in the forest. Maybe some grass Pokemon."

The boy shrugged, "I got potions!" he grinned, nodding to her, "But we can try that- if you want to." Then the boy patted his stomach and put his Krabby back on his belt, hopping from the muck and bursting into a run towards the forest.

Luka runs along with the boy, splatter a bit of mud as she runs. Her boots get wiped from the grass and lichens of the woods as she follows after Wayne.

"Hehe~ Ye're an excitable lad.. definitely related to Wade." She runs after him and looks about the woods. The slight tree-cover keeping the area cool, with only occasional fat droplets of water coming down, as opposed to the more steady, if light rain on the path. Many Pokemon were in their burrows or trees during the storm... she and Wayne were going to see if they could rustle them up at all. Hopefully find a good one~ "You see any that ye like, laddie?"

The boy stopped shortly past the trees, and immediately pointed towards one of the caves, where a Geodude smashed rocks, "How about dat one?" he grinned, then to a fluffy tailed Pokemon, tan as the tree it snoozed against... AN EEVEE?

Posted Image

"Ee...eeeveee?" the little brown Pokemon blinked, stirring and then burst into a cautious run from them, stopping by a branch then moving back into the run, playful almost even, deeper into the forest, where it rained harder.

"Geodude is a rock Pokemon, right Luka?" Wayne piped in, and so it was a hard choice for the girl.

Would she chase the Eevee, or help Wayne catch the Geodude?

"Damn, that wee little beastie's fast..." She looks at the Eevee, eyeing wantingly. Eevee were rare, so to see one right in front of her in the wild was an exciting occurence. Especially if it was a female... Were it female, and she were to catch it, she could breed it one day, and sell or give away the eggs.

Then she heard Wayne pipe back up, talking about the Geodude... She turned back and saw the boy looking excitedly at the Rock Pokemon. "Y-yeah, Geodude's a Rock Type, as well as a Ground-Type." She turned back and saw the Eevee running off. As much as it pained her to let it go, she was here for the kid. "You want to catch the Geodude, huh? Go get him, I'll help if you need it."

She mutters a soft; "Fuck..." As the Eevee rushes deeper into the forest, taking a turn around a tree and she can't see it anymore. "Go ahead and call out Breas~ Good luck, laddie."

"That means he'll be really good against all the electric Pokemons! Grandpa said that Ground types were the best!" he grinned, then pulled out his Pokeball, throwing out his Krabby, Breas. He grinned to her and nodded, as the Krabby strutted around in a way that sort of mirrored its owner, clicking and bubbling, the boy piping in without hesitation "Bubble, Breas! Do it!" he grinned, and then it may have occured to the girl, from science class.

Rock eroded from water, but specifically from humidity. So if she could make the bubbles hotter, maybe she could speed up the battle and make the chance to find the Eevee? Or maybe- maybe- maybe, she could get ahold of it before it ran off too far?

Yet- the question remained, what would that do to the boy's confidence? Even as Krabby buffeted the unsuspecting- rock smashing Geodude, he grinned, it was obvious this was one of his first recent battles where Breas hadn't been beat back without hesitation by its opponents. "Go go Breas! Krabby Krabby Koko Puffs, Krabby Krabby Kokopuffs, Krabby Krabby Kokopuffs! Krabby Krabby Kokopuffs! Krabby Krabby knocks otha pokemon on their duffs! Krabby Krabby know matter what their buffs!"

"Hit it again, Wayne... I don't think it'll be able to take too many of those Bubbles before you need to get it in the Pokeball~" She cheers the young lad on. Luka turns and watches in the woods, looking for that tail, or brush of tan fur... she's gonna stick it out with the boy until he succeeds catches the Geodude... but the second he's in the Pokeball, she's gonna at least try to find that Eevee... It was too good an opportunity to not try and save the chance.

She did, however, call out Torch. The little Fire-Pokemon was a little twitchy in the wet air of the forest, but he watched the battle carefully, his flames out cheering the Krabby on.

"Come on, Breas~ You can beat this hard-head no problem~" The Cyndaquil offers words of encouragement and endorsement to the battling pair.

The krabby continued its clicking, bubbling crabwalk to and fro as the enraged Geodude attempted to tackle him, the krab taking the hit head on and waiting for Wayne's order- when the boy immediately launched out, "Bubble now, Krabby! Use one claw to block it's punches, and try to grab a hand with the other so he can't escape!"

This kid was definitely related to Wade.

Luka was getting into the battle... watching intensely to the battle. The Eevee pecked at the back of her mind at the moment... She couldn't help herself. She dropped Rapier's Pokeball, calling out the sneaky, swift Weedle. "Rapier... sneak around the forest, see if you can find out where the Eevee is.. If the beastie's close, right-quick let me know~."

"I'll do my best, Luka. I'll try not to disappoint." The Weedle hops into the tree, as best as a Weedle can hop, and starts looking for the rare Normal-Type Pokemon.

Luka keeps her gaze on the fight, her fists clench as the Geodude and Krabby are in a grappling match. She knows how physically strong a Krabby can be... Especially after nearly getting a toe clipped off by one one day while she was at the beach with Wade.

"BY! KRAAAABBBYYY!" the crab Pokemon squalled and squabbled, the Geodude letting out grunts and groans, slamming it's body into the crab Pokemon for short range tackles as it was stuck to the Crab, bubble after bubble after bubble coming forth. The Geodude's speed seemed to be slowing, so maybe it really was weakening?

"YOU CAN DO IT, BREAS! YOU CAN DO IT!" Wayne shouted out, clenching his tiny fists, the (at best) ten year old positively ecstatic! So too, the Geodude seemed to be getting a few scratches from the bubbles, clear signs that it was being hurt!

Rapier would find the trees more dense than any back in Abalach, or at least this cluster of trees, and several clusters of ruffling bushes, leaves, and grass. Whichever one held the Eevee's fleeing spot, if any of them, was left to be figured out.

Rarity Roulette!: GM: There is a chance to catch Eevee, and find it- if you're lucky! But you'll have to take your chances, and remember that Wayne needs your help here! The roulette works as follows!

Roll 1d3 to decide which Rapier chooses to investigate!

1) Tall Grass
2) Bush Cluster
3) Tree Branch Cluster

And finally, after that- a roll of a 1d4 to see where the Eevee is hiding out!

1) Tall Grass.
2) Bush Cluster
3) Tree Branch Cluster
4) It's already well passed here.

More GMing to come, and roulette wheel continuance in the next posts!

"Fantastic job, Wayne! It's gettin' weaker. After the next attack hits, try a Pokeball!" She calls out to the boy, getting rather excited. The Geodude is handling the Krabby fairly well. But the close range grappling is keeping the Rock-Type Pokemon from hurting the Water-Type too much. Not to mention that Krabby's shell is absorbing most of the blows.

Rapier crawled as quickly as she could through the woods, hearing the shuffling of land-based Pokemon hopping through the foliage. She descends from her tree with a String Shot, slowly climbing down like a cat burglar. She looks in a cluster of thick tree-branches, searching for the Eevee to try and find it for her trainer... "Eevee~ Come on out, I just wanna talk~" The Bug-Type called out to the rare Pokemon.

The boy's hands moved quickly to grab for one of his Pokeballs as Krabby and Geodude kept battling it out! In no time at all, he threw the Pokeball, and while it swallowed up the Geodude, the Pokeball didn't just land on the ground with no trouble. It kept rolling, kept rolling.

Roll a 1d5, on a result of 5, Wayne fails to catch the Geodude.

Meanwhile, the spot that Rapier chose wasn't an Eevee, but it kept on ruffling!

Choose to roll a D20.

1) Rapier gets the Eevee to come out.
2) Rapier gets another bug Pokemon to come out.
3) Rapier gets a flying type Pokemon to come out.
4) Eevee appears but jets out of there too fast.
5) Eevee appears but so do a flock (determined by a 3d10 in number) of Bird/Flying Pokemon [All the same species, 1d3 decides if it's a Spearow (1), Pidgey (2), or Taillow (3) flock].
6-16) Nothing happens, but for each 2 results higher than 6, a bonus of -1 is given to the roll of Wayne's capturing Geodude.
17) A flock (determined by a 3d10 in number) of Bird/Flying Pokemon [All the same species, 1d3 decides if it's a Spearow (1), Pidgey (2), or Taillow (3) flock].
18) Eevee runs from rapier, but right back in the direction of Luka!
19) Eevee runs from Rapier but right back in the direction of Wayne!
20) Eevee runs from Rapier but right back in the direction of Wayne's Pokeball, roll of 1d2 with a result of 1 being a a positive result (Wayne instantly catches the Geodude.) but a 2 being a highly negative result, Wayne's Pokeball explodes and Geodude stumbles out of it- but the explosive reverberations send forth a flock of zubat (3d10 in number).

Luka watched as Wayne hurled the Pokeball at the Rock-type... It wriggled heavily and it seemed as if the Geodude was going to break out... but it didn't. The ball seemed to hold and Luka wasn't sure if it would escape. However, it started shaking again... it was hard to say what would happen, as Luka has seen stuff like that go either way.

Rapier heard the Eevee start to rustle and rush out of the bushes, where she immediately started to follow after it. She climbed through the trees, climbing through the foliage as fast as her stubby little bug legs will carry her. It started running back towards the Trainers, from her view of things.

The Geodude's Pokeball exploded into light energy as it broke free, the Pokeball useless and Wayne frowning at not succeeding on his first try! Maybe if he had fought it a bit more first! But in the end the Eevee ran right into the boy, making him roll- andd so Krabby began to fire bubble after bubble at Geodude, assuming he was the cause! But what moves were good against normal types? That Geodude had used rock break after all earlier!

"Torch, go~ Get the Eevee with your Reversal!" She called out to her Fire-type Pokemon. The Fire-Mouse leaps at the Eevee, grabbing it and pulling it back away from Wayne. It wasn't too powerful right away, since it was a move that relied on being hurt badly. It was a Fighting-type move though, so it did get the Eevee off of Wayne, where Luka went to grab and pick up the boy.

"Wayne, try again! I think you can catch it this time!" She said to Wade's cousin. She watched as Breas battled the Geodude valiantly, firing off barrages of bubbles at the Rock-Type. "You're not hurt are ya? Come on, you can get him this time~"
