After the rust update on the 06.02.14, the server have been getting mayor ram leaks. This is from the program itself. Facepunch is working on this now. This causes the server to restart every 20 min! Stay tuned for a fix!!

(Server provider) Hi folks,

We've noticed that some Rust servers are restarting really, really often (every 20 minutes).

Unfortunately this is caused by a MASSIVE memory leak in the game code which causes it to eat 1GB of RAM every 15-20 minutes on some servers - this is causing them to very quickly fill their allocations and get restarted.

The image below shows the slow memory leak before yesterdays update and then the massive one after.

Clanforge does shutdown servers softly and force a save first though so these restarts shouldn't cause any data to be lost.

Unfortunately as this is a problem with Rust itself, there's nothing we can do from our side to prevent this. Technically, allowing a server to use more RAM before we restart it would delay the restarts, but the leak is so big that it's just not worth trying - any increases we make to our limits wouldn't even dent it.

We've already contacted the Rust developers Facepunch about the problem so they are aware and hence hope to see an update released to fix this issue soon, so keep an eye on this news post for further info.

(Another memo on this people. After the last update of rust and the oxide update the no decay script got bugged hard! So decay is now on going! Lot's of houses have decayed because of this. And we are sorry for this! But understand this, we can't do anything about this. The game is in alpha. And stuff like this will happend inn the future! There just ain't anything we can do about this.)
