Character creation rules; Guidelines for character creation

There are a couple rules when it comes to character creation.

First off, there's no particular system to scale the strength of any particular part of a character, so as such, it is up to you, the RPer, to take it upon yourself and be reasonable when creating a character. All characters will be reviewed by admins, and as such, admins are the only ones allowed to approve a character, with my word being final.

Second, the longer you are a member of this RP, the more leeway you have when it comes to making a character. For example: newbies are allowed no characters with any magical abilities. Anyone just starting out is allowed to create a single, mundane character, be it an animus with no magical abilities, a human, or a feral (ferals are allowed the ability to talk, and any talking ferals will be considered a sub-species of animus). No one except admins and veteran players are allowed to play a human or an animus who were "species-swapped" during the merge. Long story short, after you've been around for a while and understand the world and the interaction between the beings in it, you'll be given more leniency as to what kind of character you can create.

Third, if you're one of the players allowed to create a character with magical abilities, be reasonable. Don't create a 19-year-old character with the ability to create humongous tidal waves or move mountains and such. Also, no characters are allowed to use magic for free, the magic has to come from SOMEwhere, so whenever a character uses magic, some form of repercussion should be had, be it headaches, blacking out if they use too much magic, etc.

And lastly, as mentioned in the world history, yes some animus have the powers of necromancy, but these are few and far between. Since this is the case, only admins and players the admins deem responsible enough are allowed to play any kind of character capable of necromancy.
