TV has been a bit slack lately with the writers strike, probably the only show I've been watching recently was Prison Break (which is now on a break until next year) Journeyman - I like this but I never remember when it's on, if I want to keep up I'll have to download these. Does anyone else watch? Chasing Daisies - The strangest program I've ever seen. A freind of mine game me a few episodes to watch, so when I run out I'll have to decide if it's worth downloading the rest. It's about a Piemaker who has the ability to either bring someone back from the dead forever (but someone else has to die and If he touches them again they die) Or bring them back for 1 min and then kill them again (by touching them) so he can ask how they died. I know its...odd. Heroes - I watched a few of these and didn't really like it that much. Is it worth making the effort to try and get into it? CSI - <3 This is on about 5 times a day so I watch it when there's nothing else. This is the list of stuff I watch every time a new series is on.
Any recommendations? |

I still need to watch Heroes. D': Hell, there are a LOT of shows I want to watch, but never got to. All I'm really watching on TV at the moment is (shush you guys, I <3 this show lol), yeah... The Golden Girls. My ex got me into watching it and all, and as much as I'm ashamed to say it... I quite like it. That, and some crap on Food Network to lol at how bad the chefs are. Also watching Mr. Bean on Youtube if that would count. (djsakljd that show makes me lol all over myself.) (... And if *cough* anime would count, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, thanks to CK. YES, SA LIKES AN ANIMU FOR ONCE, GOOD GAD. : P) |

Stuff that's on or going to be the air: -Battlestar Galactica -Friday Night Lights -Have I Got News For You -King of the Hill -Lost (although you already have this ;)) -Prison Break (" "" "" "" "") -Qi -Scrubs -The Office: An American Workplace -24 ("" "" "" "" "") Stuff that's finished or cancells but MUST be watched via legal or illegal means: -Arrested Development -Black Books -Dilbert -Firefly -Garth Marenghi's Darkplace -Spaced -The Office I bolded the infallible ones :smug:, but for some of them certain criteria is required for the ULTIMATE viewing experience: *It's highly recommended that the Battlestar mini-series be watched prior to jumping straight into Season 1. I bought the Se.1 DVDs and was all "Huh?" when it said "Previously on Battlestar Galactica..." *Arrested Development HAS TO BE WATCHED IN ORDER FROM THE VERY FIRST EPISODE. Otherwise it'll be rather difficult to udnerstand what's going on (that's true of any TV series really..but doubly so in this case). It's so good, really. In fact it's kinda ruined TV a bit for me since there's very few shows that can rival it. *Firefly should be immediately followed by it's film "Serenity" *Darkplace's first episode can be found here (not illegal, as the first episode is available on the webstie too :smug:). Edit: And Heroes really is not that good, the audience is cheated out of action so much on that show. |

I'm not really into many series on TV at the moment. I rarely watch TV to follow a series these days. Unfortunately, nothing's on at the moment that I'm very interested in. However, I do have a suggestion that's pretty accessible to a lot of people. I've been following Death Note. It's an anime series, so that is probably a turn off for many, but it's not too hard to follow and it's not too well, weird, like a lot of typical anime shows are. I'll give you a brief synopsis. One day a high school student finds a strange notebook lying on the ground. This notebook has an extraordinary power... It has the power to kill. The name of the person you write in it will die. This student, whose name is Light, with the notebook aptly called the "Death Note" decides to rid the world of criminals, until Interpol starts getting suspicious of the sudden number of inmate deaths. It's very interesting... The first series in a long time where I couldn't wait to see the next episode. It's currently airing on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, but I suggest you watch it from the episode one. Most video rental stores carry mainstream anime, so I encourage anyone to pick up the first volume on DVD. I even got my 55 year-old aunt watching it on her own. You won't be disappointed! |

Same here. I watched the first 2 episodes on TV and even though I enjoyed them I didn't get addicted or hooked compared to when I started watching 24 and Lost. Most of my TV viewing is the same as Sil's but I would also recommend :- Seinfeld House X-Files South Park Harvey Birdman - Attorney At Law Band of Brothers (I've yet to watch it myself but I heard good reviews) Shows to watch with friends Chappelle's Show Jackass |

Bah, over-a-month-reply. Curently on the tube (and/or TiVo), the main shows I watch are: Chuck [NBC] Mythbusters [Discovery] House [FOX] The Office [NBC] My Name is Earl [NBC] 30 Rock [NBC] King of the Hill [FOX] Lost [ABC] There's really not much I else that I bother to keep up with or anything. I for one hate reality TV (American Idol and whatnot); and as funny as they can be laughing at people's mistakes and downfalls, I just find them boring. And just for kicks, Cancelled Shows: Arrested Development [FOX] (Have all three seasons ; best show evar)The Loop [FOX] (Still waiting for the second season to come out on DVD...) Twin Peaks [CBS] (Can now be found on the Chiller network) Journeyman [NBC] (Believe it has been cancelled) I agree entirely with Silmarillion in every point on Arrested Development. It is sad though, the amount of people around where I live don't even know what the show is. Whenever I mention it, I commonly get odd stares and blank faces. It was seriously one of the best comedies of all time (that Fox ever aired, anyway). And to those that say it was hard to follow and the plot was confusing, I call utter BS on that. I was about 10 or 12 when it started airing and I followed everything just fine. |

Happy day, happy day. Though, could this, if it all comes together, lead to something getting renewed?
