Oh come on Xera! We just revolutionized the contest! No more simple, lame, sugar coated boring music, but innovative new approaches. I'm sure the contest will be much better overall next year! Ellu |

What are the Finns like? +15°C. People in Spain put on winter coats and gloves. Finns take a sunbath. +10°C. French try, with no success, to switch central heating on. Finns plant flowers in their gardens. +5°C. Italian cars do not start. Finns use cabriolets. 0°C. Distilled water freezes. Vantaa river water gets a bit denser. -5°C. Californians nearly freeze to death. Finns organise a last barbecue party before winter starts. -10°C. Brits start heating their houses. Finns put on long-sleeve shirts. -20°C. Australians escape from Mallorca. Finnish autumn starts. -30°C. Greeks freeze to death and vanish from the Earth. Finns do laundry indoors. -40°C. Paris cracks under the cold. Finns queue for hot dogs. -50°C. Icebears are evacuated from the North Pole. The Finnish Army delays its winter survival training for weak weather. -60°C. Korvatunturi (home of Santa Claus) freezes. Finns borrow a movie and stay at home. -70°C. Santa Claus moves to the south. Finns are upset because Koskenkorva cannot be stored outdoors. The Finnish Army starts survival training. -183°C. Microbes in food die. Finnish cows complain of farmers' cold hands. -273°C All molecular motion stops. Finns say, "... it's cold today". -300°C Hell freezes up. Finns win the Eurovisio pop song festival. SO the hell is now frozen............

Actually I really dont give a SHIT who wins this contest, It's just laughable that theese guys won it. Though I would say it'd be more embarassing for the band it self to actually attend at a contest of this sort. I would NEVER do it with my band, "palsterknock kvartett". But as I said I don't care who wins this thing but I think those finns sold their hars rock souls to even play at the contest, though in another way you migh see it like some kind of revolution; like hard rock's not dead. You know, we can step in to a contest like this once every ten year just to show the mainstream that we are a force to count with. What do I know? GRATZ! |

Though I have to say it is a bit fun now that I've read a bit more about this fiasco. That Lordi saw it as a victory just to have forced their way in to a pop-contest. just lol, lol@all |

Hia Xera - Just this one small thing more Well I see this in a way as a much simpler thing. You have a band that is doing ok. You wanna make it big and you are offered an opportunity. Would you say no to 9 000 000 european viewers and 300 000 000 viewers world wide. Nope you would not coz your band is your thing! This is the logic behind Lordi and this was a brilliant business move! Lordi is living his dream doing what he loves & making a buck or two on the side. There is absolutely nothing suscpicious about that. Lordi fiasco to whom & why? I do not believe anyone can mess up Eurovision song contest, it has been messed up years and years ago. Which is worse, childish monsters or nearly naked ladies? Monsters are makebelieve, everyone knows that, but those ladies ... what should my daughters think about them??? Lordi will keep doing his thing. I saw them live like month or two back, they have a style they do not need to change. As I said before, they brought FUN back to Eurovision song contest. If fun is to continue I do not know. That is up to next generation of Eurovision song contest participants. Over & Out! Ellu |

Well, I really think there is something charming about underground. Of course I do also listen to more popular music, I can't deny that my taste actually is pretty mainstream though very wide. All from Muse to Looptroop to Black Sabbath to System of a Down. And since I actually am pretty much against categorization I guess I overreacted. But it's something with this that's just weird. And I can't help but think it's a bit like 'cheating' to get your fans this way. And I know that one of my absolute favourite bands System of a Down has had a couple of songs on MTV last year and I actually did dislike it, though I can't let that control what I listen to, if it's good it is and I have barely heard Lordi so I'm just gonna shut the hell up. I actually don't even know why I care, guess it's society that has messed me up. Some things are just supposed to be as they've always been, and I am actually totally against that, revolution against my parents So I'm gonna change my opinion to that this actually was fun, not that I'm GLAD that they won, more that it's sarcastic. But as I said, I don't really care... DUH! ![]() Just one more thing, when you say it's a brilliant business move I get a really bad taste in my mouth! YUCK! |

I am glad Lordi won. It was a bit "Spinal Tap" and they where louder than 11 but it was a breath of fresh air, our entry OMG, apart from the girls that bloke should of been dragged of the stage after he said his first word. |

Hia Diffy You are right about the "Spinal Tap" - effect! In true "Spinal Tap" - spirit Lordi borrows almost every rock'n roll cliche there is . By the way Spinal Tap is great, absolutely hilarious! Ellu |

I have noticed that Lordi will play at the Hultsfred-festival and your Xeralito is going to the Hultsfred, maybe I should check them out while I have the chance? |
