Let’s take a breath, jump over the side, how can you know it if you don’t even try?

Full Name: Angie Elizabeth Stevens

Nickname:Ange, Angel

Age:15

Birth Date: May 28th

Blood-Status:Halfblood

Sexuality:Heterosexual

School, House, & Year:Hogwarts, currently in her fifth year. A Gryffindor.

Occupation:Student

Wand Type: Mahogany, dragon heartstring, 10 inches.

Patronus: Angie hasn’t got the faintest idea how one makes a patronus right now, but if she learns it, it will be in the form of a fox.
The memory will be of her first kiss, with the boy who was then the kid next door, after playing a prank or two.

Dementor: If Angie encounters a Dementor, she’ll remember the day her grandfather died. She was twelve at the time, and hadn’t experienced anything like it before, and she loved her grandfather very much. This resulted in Angie not being able to do or say anything, other than hiding inside a cupboard, crying by herself. Angie has never been good at showing others that she needs them. Her parents, totally misunderstanding the situation, yelled at her, calling her emotionless and selfish. She has never felt so sad and alone again.

Mirror of Erised: Seeing herself surrounded by people who love her, friends and family alike. Everybody is happy, and they all really, really like and admire her.

Boggart: Angie’s worst fear is losing someone she loves, and so the Boggart will show itself as the body of someone she cares about a lot. Who this is will probably change a bit, but right now, it’s her mother or her brother.

Amortentia: Newly popped popcorn(from countless trips to the cinema with her friends, often sneaking in while everybody looked the other way), sea breeze(from summers spent at the coast) and freshly mowed grass (from gardens, football matches and events shared with friends and family).

Best Traits: Passionate, energetic, loyal, outgoing, believes in others, tough.

Worst Traits: Hypocritical, disorderly, temperamental, whiny, does not think before she speaks, bad loser, impatient.

Nationality:English.

Home Town:Southampton. Angie grew up in the suburbs, but prefers the city centre when just hanging out.

Financial Status:Angie has never lacked money. The family is placed firmly in the middle class, more towards the top than the bottom. She gets the money she needs, though her parents aren’t frivolous – unnecessary spending isn’t accepted, unless it’s some special occasion. Right now she’s considering getting a summer job, though her parents do give her money to spend at school, such as for trips to Hogsmeade.

Parents:Alice and William Stevens. Alice is a teacher, and William is a doctor. They are happily married, and have been together for approximately 25 years, after meeting at a dinner party. They married young. Religion is very important to both of them, and so Angie has grown up fairly religious, though she is currently moving a bit away from the whole organized bit of it. Alice is the witch in the family.

Siblings:Angie has an older brother, Peter. He’s nineteen, and left Hogwarts two years ago. While in school, he was a Hufflepuff. Currently, he’s in training to become a healer, something which both of his parents are very proud of. Pete is Angie’s big idol, and always has been. She desperately wants his approval, not realizing she’s already got it. Pete is proud of his sister as long as she does what she wants to do, and stay on the right side of the law.

Familiar:Angie owns an owl, an Eurasian Eagle Owl named Susan. The name was chosen because Angie likes it, and just for fun – after all, who names their owl Susan?

Others:Angie has a small family, and the majority of her family members live quite far away. She does have three cousins in Edinburgh, though, who she keeps in touch with, and her grandmother, Julia, lives with the family. Julia’s from Alice’s side of the family, and also a witch. Julia and Angie have a good relationship, and they talk frequently. Angie believes that she and Julia are very different, and sees her as somewhat boring, but reliable and comforting.
Angie also has several close friends from school when she was younger, and from around the neighbourhood. She keeps in touch with the through letters, sent via her mother, and spends time with them during vacations.

Biography: Angie is born into a very loving family, where everyone stands up for one another. As a young child, Angie was very close to her family, especially her mother. As she has grown older, however, she has withdrawn quite a bit from them, both sides feeling like they don’t really understand the other.
Her older brother, Peter, has always been a model… well, just about anything. He excelled at school, was loved by most, did well at sports, and was constantly the example of how Angie was supposed to behave. When she was younger, Angie strived to live up to those goals and expectations, only to fail over and over. She simply didn’t have it in her to be good at school.
Books are tremendously boring to Angie, and she will not open one unless she has to. Reading for fun? She falls asleep three pages in. Words were never her strength, though she did fairly well at math, feeling comfortable with numbers, feeling it made sense.

As for being lovely and well-liked, Angie does not think before she speaks. When she thinks or feels something, it shows. She’s not particularly tactful, because she doesn’t pause to consider how her statements are going to come across.
As time went by, Angie stopped trying to be like her older brother. The constant failures when trying to do so was simply too much. Instead, she tries to be as unique as she possibly can, so that no one will compare her to anybody.

And yes, both Angie and Peter went to muggle school. Their mother is a teacher, after all, and believes very strongly in the educational system.

Hogwarts is a place filled with both happiness and frustration for Angie. On one hand, she adores the idea of magic, and wants to be good at it. She also feels largely at home among her classmates. On the other hand, her heart beats for technology and modern stuff, which is not too good at a magic school. She misses her computer and video games tremendously, and will often complain over the lack of facilities around her. Sure, magic is nice. But there IS more to the world, and Angie can’t imagine living without her gadgets in the future. If that means less magic, so be it.

Some of the subjects at school has engaged her through the years, especially subjects such as Charms and Potions, and later on, Arithmancy. However, she does not like things such as gardening very much, and History makes her go to sleep. She hasn’t yet planned anything for the future, and lives each day as if it was the last. Worrying isn’t really her style, but this has resulted in her not knowing anything at all about what she’ll do after school.

Personality: Angie is the sort of person who opposes everything just because. If most people go right, Angie goes left. If someone posts a sign with ‘Do not touch’, Angie will touch it.
At the same time, what she really wants in life is for people to like her. She wants friends, and she wants approval. On her terms, mind. She’s not about to change for someone else (or that’s what she says).
Angie is something of an idealist, though she’d rather not people know it. She believes that everybody has something good in them, and that the world can become a better place.
If people talking bother you, you should stay far away from this girl. She loves talking to others, and she will. It can be hard to make her shut up, if there’s something on her mind that she wants to share.
Angie will talk to anyone, anytime, and likes being around people.
It takes time for Angie to consider anyone her friend. If she does, however, it’s for life. She loyal to a fault and will rarely question her friend’s actions of motivations. If anything or anyone threatens her friends, Angie will jump at them and tear their throats out.
Project work? Forget it. Angie sucks at cooperation, unless she happens to be lucky and work with her friends. Taking orders is not her forte, and she’ll do things her way, regardless.

Appearance: Angie is fairly short, just 155 cm. Most of the time, this does not bother her at all. If she can’t reach something, she’ll just bat her eyelashes and make someone get it for her, and really. What’s the point of getting all stressed about something which you can’t change anyway? However, she’d very much like to play basketball, like her older brother, and being short and playing basket is usually not a good match.
She’s got sandy blonde hair cut to about ear length, and it’s fairly bouncy. When she was younger, she kept it long (her mother loved braiding it), but she prefers it short. It’s much easier that way, and Angie rarely, if ever, does anything with it. The only thing that annoys her about her hair length is that it covers up the ears. She’d rather have them show; she did get them pierced two years ago, and not in order to keep them hidden.
Her eyes are a steely blue, and she’s got a lanky build. She does have muscles though, and Pete thinks she should do gymnastics or something like that. Not that Angie cares – she’ll do what he does, thank you very much.

When not wearing her school uniform, Angie likes to wear comfortable clothes. Oversized jumpers and soft trousers, with basket shoes or some such.

Diagon Alley was filled with people. Some was shopping, some just looking around, and some, like Angie, was enjoying life. Angie had always loved cities. It was something about the energy and the life. The table at the ice cream parlor sat on the paving stones, giving Angie a good view of everyone walking past. Really, she liked watching people. They were all exciting.
“There you are. Chocolate and pistachio.” Peter had returned from the counter, placing her ice cream on the table. Angie shot a glance at his ice cream, and saw vanilla and honey. Sweet, in more ways than one. “Thanks,” she said.
“Looking forwards to going back?” Peter sat down, and produced two spoons from his front pocket. Angie shrugged. “It’s okay. There are some nice folks there. It’s interesting enough.”
“I sense a ‘but’ in there.”
“But you’re not there anymore. But I miss home. But I really, really don’t’ see what’s so great with everything.” He reached over and put an arm around her shoulders.
“It’ll be all right. I know what it feels like, being so far from home. I know you do like it. My little complaining sis,” he said, and ruffled her hair.
