~ PREVIOUSLY ON ~ SURVIVOR: RETURN
TO THE AMAZON . . .

~ Sixteen players gathered in the Amazon to see
how their strategic adventure would unfold in the
16th season of Brobst's Survivor Online Games. ~

This particular game would be themed after the 6th
season of SURVIVOR, but with very different twists
than were seen on TV. All players would have to be
able to roll with the punches in order to survive.

In addition to Brobst's hosting duties, this season
would feature someone assisting as Jeff Probst
to act as a Moderator behind-the-scenes.

The game began with tribes already set, but it wasn't the original scenario that we would
remember from the tube. Private communication was only with those in your same tribe,
but after a day-and-a-half into the season ~ these groups would be revealed to NOT be
the actual tribal assignments. So the public communication that had been taking place
in
"The Rainforest" became more crucial as it was the first impression that players
had with those who would soon be their new tribemates.

The "fake tribes" we began with were:

JABURU TRIBE:

CHRISTY

DANIEL

JANET

JENNA

JOANNA

ROB

ROGER

RYAN

TAMBAQUI TRIBE:

ALEX

BUTCH

DAVE

DEENA

HEIDI

JEANNE

MATT

SHAWNA

But our ACTUAL pre-determined tribes were revealed as:

~ WELCOME TO YOUR REAL TRIBE! ~

~ WELCOME TO YOUR REAL TRIBE! ~

The following evening was our first challenge where both tribes had to "LOOK & LISTEN"
to 6 short clips from the real Amazon season & place them in order. After that, they had
to answer questions about each video by stacking the avatars as their answers . . . .

SURVIVORS READY?

GOOOOOO!!!

With a chance to execute the first kidnapping with a victory........

~ JABURU WINS THE CHALLENGE!!! ~

JABURU decided to choose Matt for the first kidnap of the season. TAMBAQUI was saved
from Tribal Council by the elimination of Jeanne in an executive decision for failing to login.

Posted Image

A seasonal mainstay made its return as our tribes then began working on creating their
Tribal Flags with lots of brainstorming going on as they completed these two Flags . . . . .

~ JABURU TRIBE ~

Posted Image

~ TAMBAQUI TRIBE ~

Posted Image

The tribes met up for "WORD HERD" where they had to find & circle
the names of the 16 castaways in a basic word search puzzle . . . .

Posted Image

While the first challenge was for the right to kidnap, the second brought out the competition
for immunity as well and two players solved the puzzle in less than 5 minutes. Daniel showed
his capabilities in challenges and brought
JABURU the victory. After a brief discussion, the gold
tribe elected to kidnap Janet, saving her from the vote and more importantly, getting to spend
some quality time with her.

Meanwhile, at TAMBAQUI's Tribal Council, with six votes for Ryan, a single vote for Heidi
has no impact and Ryan became the second player to take up residence in Ponderosa.

Posted Image

"MIXER" was our 3rd challenge, and much like the real Amazon season, the SURVIVORS were
randomly given a pair of items. All they had to do was match any item they held with one from
the opposing tribe in a *Go Fish* style format. The first tribe to make five matches would take
the victory. Both sides were quick to collect three matches, but the
TAMBAQUI tribe pulled off
a challenge win, sending the
JABURUs to their 1st Tribal Council. After a little discussion, Dave
was kidnapped and spared the ritual of Tribal Council for the night. In the end...... Butch found
himself on the short end of the vote count.

Posted Image

"NUMEROLOGY" was challenge number four where

tribes posted numbered tiles in order from 1 to........

Posted Image

The key to victory was focus and attention. The challenge was won by JABURU.
Christy was the kidnapped choice this round. Back at Tribal, in a 4 - 2 blindside,
Janet was sent packing by the majority of the
TAMBAQUIs.

Posted Image

Immediately afterwards, the remaining 12 players were surprised with some real holiday
fireworks.
THE MERGE HAD ARRIVED ~ FAR EARLIER THAN EXPECTED!!!!!!

Posted Image

"COLOR CODE" was the first challenge of our *Fake Merge* and it involved reading a brief history
of the Amazon by looking for
GREEN words and RED words. Players could extract letters to uncover
a seven word phrase which Jenna was the 1st to decipher in order to secure immunity that night.

~ YOU NEED TO BRING ME YOUR TORCH. ~

A unanimous vote sent Christy to Ponderosa.

Posted Image

"SIMILAR STROKES" was a popular challenge requiring players to find the singular difference
in two nearly identical photos. Though the first two points went to Shawna & Heidi, Daniel swept
the next three. Tribal Council started with enough fire for everyone since Roger felt in danger of
elimination. After he made a bold public outburst openly targeting Rob ~ the cast was informed
that due to outside the game circumstances......... Deena felt the need to lay her torch down.
So we said goodbye to the hilarious and often "snarky" Deena.
:)

Immediately after Tribal Council concluded ~ the castaways were instructed to meet in "The Rainforest"

where another TWIST was revealed. The Final 10 were about to DE-MERGE in a random reshuffle........

JABURU TRIBE:

DANIEL

SHAWNA

ALEX

ROGER

MATT

TAMBAQUI TRIBE:

DAVE

JOANNA

HEIDI

JENNA

ROB

The normal tactic of throwing a challenge to eliminate a threat was turned upside down
by the return of the element of kidnapping a player from the losing tribe. It was time to
dial up the competition and win to stay safe!
"FRIDGE & COKES" was our next challenge
which was inspired by a reward challenge from the show. And this contest was the ultimate
test of teamwork as players had to assemble a puzzle of an empty fridge while other players
scoured the forum for pictures of Cokes. Once these two steps were completed ~ the Cokes
had to be "stocked" correctly inside the fridge........

Posted Image

AND THE TEAM THAT CAME OUT ON TOP THAT NIGHT WAS . . . .

~ JABURU!!!!!! ~

Dave submitted first for TAMBAQUI, but made a mistake, while Daniel once again secured
a win for his tribe....... who chose to kidnap Heidi to
JABURU for the round. At Tribal Council
that night, Jenna, who was widely regarded as the biggest threat remaining ~ was the final
player to arrive in Ponderosa........ the pre-Jury phase of the game.

Posted Image

"AMAZON DOT COM" was a straightforward trivia challenge about the real Amazon season.
Both tribes competed in this timed event to see who could answer 9 questions in alphabetical
order the quickest. This time, it was the
TAMBAQUI tribe that secured the victory. And in this
round's kidnap ~ they chose Daniel to join them, not knowing they were about to RE-MERGE.
The
JABURU's Tribal Council resulted in the 1st member of the Jury, and it was Roger's time
that had run out. The outspoken & strong-willed player was sent to get things ready in the
Jury House for those that would follow........

Posted Image

THAT NIGHT, OUR FINAL EIGHT WERE THEN MERGED BACK INTO A SINGLE TRIBE . . . . . .

~ J A C A R É ~ is the name - and it's anybody's game!

Posted Image

Our first post-RE-merge challenge was one that can sow dissension among the players.
The "CURIOSITY" quiz had them answering questions about their fellow competitors
such as: "Who is the funniest character?" - "Who has no chance of winning?" - and -
"Who is under the mistaken impression that they are in control of this game?" After
their quiz results were tallied........ there was a tie. DAVE and DANIEL faced off in
a tie-breaker where they had to post what
*Jaburu* and *Tambaqui* mean.

Answering 25 seconds faster than his competitor........

Posted Image

~ J A C A R É ~ then headed to Tribal Council. Despite all the fake tribes and fake merges,
de-merges & re-merges...... players seemed to be willing to fall back on their old tribe loyalties.
This resulted in the Amazon's first DEADLOCK vote between Rob & Shawna. Similarly to the real
show - the two of them became immune along with Dave who already had the immunity necklace.

An epic ROCK DRAW had the remaining 5 players forced to rely on complete chance as to which
of them would be the next member of the Jury, and which "side" would come out on top. All you
had to do was keep away from the dreaded
~ PURPLE ROCK . . . .

Posted Image = GOOD Posted ImagePosted Image = BAD

*The players chose to play the odds.* So, in the end, Daniel found himself
landing in the Jury House after being on the short end of Lady Luck's stick ~
~ as the first ever victim of a
ROCK DRAW in a Brobst game........

Posted Image

*FINAL SEVEN SCORECARD MONTAGE*

Posted Image

"HIT THE BRICKS" was a flash game challenge that gave the players

15 minutes to get their highest score and submit a screenshot........

Posted Image

And the victory once again went to........

Posted Image

At the ~ J A C A R É ~ Tribal Council that night, a unanimous vote sent another power
player to the Jury. The tribe bid farewell to Rob Cesternino. #RobHasAJurySpeech.......

Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

* * * In a game that, from the outside looking in, appeared to be sticking
to "tribal lines" ~ would everyone ride it out . . . . or was there more going
on throughout the Amazon air??? * * *

The Final 6 faced off next in the "CREATIVITY" challenge in which they had to caption
this image that would be judged by a secret panel. An example of one submission was
the following........

Posted Image

.......AND WE HAD ANOTHER TIE!!!

~ After the judges re-scored, the immunity necklace went to.......

Posted Image

At Tribal Council......... Dave seemed to see the writing on the wall.

But this is SURVIVOR and you never know until the last vote is read!

But in this case........

.......Dave was right and was the next to join the Jury House.

#BANGARANG

Posted Image

Now down to the Final Five, the pressure was increasing as everyone was thinking
of different strategy possibilities.......... each hoping to secure their place in the
Final Four with ways to get to the end in the most favorable circumstances.

"PRECIOUS JEWELS" was an image posting challenge where the players had

to organize specific colored stones into a set structure round by round . . . .

Posted Image
Posted ImagePosted Image
Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

~ Joanna and Shawna seemed to trade points back & forth, and

it was anybody's guess WHO would win immunity! But in the end......

Posted Image

NOW what would everyone do???

The votes at Tribal revealed WHO would be departing.......

Posted ImagePosted Image
Posted ImagePosted Image

Our Final Four challenge "THIS & THAT" involved the deceptively simple task
of counting all the squares in this geometric arrangement and submitting the
answer in a private video clip . . . .

Posted Image

~ THOUGH IT WAS A SURPRISE TO MOST . . . . .

Posted Image

Tribal Council started out a bit quietly ~ but then Joanna put up a bold fight
& Alex made the choice to deadlock the vote. After a long discussion . . . . the
SURVIVORS voted publicly and made it very clear that the four of them did not
need a re-vote period. It was DEADLOCKED with no indication of which method
would break the tie ~ which turned out to be a head-to-head challenge between
Joanna and Heidi. BUT, it was Heidi who got to scream Joanna's trademarked:

"H-A-L-L-E-L-U-J-A-H" when Heidi won the triangle tie-breaker......

Posted Image

Posted Image

~ With the Finale in sight, the only way to be 100% safe in the midst
of everyone's own agenda was to have immunity around your neck. ~

Then our Final Three of Alex, Heidi, and Matt gave their Fallen Comrades statements,
and a
TRIBUTE VIDEO was posted honoring those who were no longer in the game.

The Final Immunity Challenge pitted our last three remaining from ~ J A C A R É ~ against
each other to secure their own spot at Final Tribal Council and also get to decide who would
sit next to them. And it was a hard fought battle as they had to try to decipher which four
character faces were seen in various "BLENDED" photos . . . . .

Posted Image

~ ALMOST SCORING EVERY SINGLE POINT . . . . .

Posted Image

* * * Heidi then publicly voted Alex out of the game as

the final member to take his place in the Jury House. * * *

Posted Image

Now, here we are . . . .

We are down to our FINAL TWO.

~ H E I D I . . . .

Posted Image

~ M A T T . . . .

Posted Image

Both of them have faced various obstacles throughout
their journey to reach the final stage of this game.

~ IT'S BEEN A SEASON OF TWISTS, SURPRISES, FRIENDSHIPS,
DRAMA, BLINDSIDES, AND MUCH MORE! ~

TOMORROW . . . .

SUNDAY, JULY 31st, STARTING AT 6:00pm CENTRAL, OUR JURY RETURNS TO QUESTION
THE FINAL TWO.

OUR FINALISTS WILL FACE THEIR JURY, PLEAD THEIR CASE, & ACCOUNT FOR THEIR
ACTIONS AS THE FINAL TRIBAL COUNCIL PLAYS OUT LIVE.

~ ONE WILL OUTLAST ALL THE REST TO BECOME . . . . .
